The second issue was I picked up a piece of malware that caused the laptop to shutdown a short time after boot up. Both times Blue Mountain responded quickly (I had my laptop back the next day). We had HP online attempting to solve our issues, they fix one thing corrupt another, etc. From there we went to Microsoft online, SAME PROBLEMS. FIX ONE THING BREAK ANOTHER. This is the first place to say they wouldn't charge unless they got it right. With flexible hours and a friendly group of people working there. While best buy was pushing their warranties and wasting my time and money with random diagnoses, these guys got it right the first time. The only down side? They're located in an unlabeled building. Scott had me bring the computer in the same day, which I really appreciated. Long story short, the issue was a failed solid-state hard drive. Scott replaced the drive, reinstalled Windows 11, and had everything running smoothly again in no time. It's a huge relief to find a conscientious, knowledgeable repair professional you can trust. The service was fast, honest, and well-done. 5 stars -- and then some. Highly recommended.

I spoke with Jim a week ago regarding my PC suffering from the Blue Screen of Death which is a…read moreWindows issue. He spent 15 minutes discussing possible causes, pricing and options - which was a pleasant surprise. Most places will simply tell you that they can fix any problem you have and just bring your PC to them. So after more research I was able to recover data from my PC much to my relief, even though it still doesn't boot up properly. I spoke with Jim again today and explained what I'd done. He advised me that my options were to either buy a new PC or spend $175 to reinstall Windows. Considering my PC is 9 years old, I'll opt to buy a new one. And the best part of the whole experience was that Jim actually gave me some advice on what to look for in a new PC. Even though I never had Jim fix my PC, I'm really glad that I spoke with him. He's a class act and I appreciate him taking time to help me even though he wasn't getting paid. Needless to say if I ever have PC issues in the future I'll call Jim.

After a visit to "A local big-box store that has computer services" mom came home with a PC that was in absolute dire repair, with store provided bloat ware and there was nothing I could do. Which leads me to Epoch, a friend had told me about the service, so I reached out to see if they could do something local for my mom. After details were exchanged, they gave me a rough estimate of cost and away they went. After much PC cleaning, they managed to get mom up and running again and all the bloatware removed. They were very patient! I would definitely recommend them to all the remote-children out there who can't always solve the parents IT issues.
