Turns out the "store" is an office in his home. I needed to have the files transferred from my desktop computer that had burned out its power source to a portable hard drive. The owner, Jim, was able to see me quickly and triage the issue I was having with my ancient desktop. He offered to transfer the data to a flash drive, but I needed to buy a hard drive in the end because there was way more data than I thought. His work was quick, his price was very fair, and I got everything I needed off the original hard drive. Working with him, however, was a very strange experience and he definitely typifies the quintessential "IT" guy. Awkward and not very consistent. I kept seeing signs for "appointment only" at his home and but not on Yelp. When I spoke with Jim he stated that he normally works by appointment. But the hours sign outside his office say M-F 9-5. Ok, strange thing 1. Weird thing #2; every time I tried to actually set an appt., he would simply say "just call me". Even when I tried to REQUEST an appt., he said just call him. So I did and he set an expectation of having the files transferred within an hour. So I took an hour and a half and the files still weren't done. He said it would take another hour and to "just call him". I don't have all day to sit around and keep calling my vendor. That's not what you pay a professional for. Would I use his services again? I called and the woman who answered (second ring, by the way, no long drawn-out introduction message) listened patiently and empathetically as I went on, and on, and on, about how embarrassed I was and I knew better, etc. She assured me Epoch would be happy to make it all better. No pressure or hype, just bring the laptop in and Epoch will take care of getting rid of any malicious software that the hackers loaded onto my hard drive. I did that and in less than 24 hours (yes, a little $$$ extra for expedited service) my laptop was clean as a whistle. Matt and Doo Yen were wonderful. So pleasant and patient which is exactly what I needed. This hacking event spurred me on to get a new desktop and Matt came and picked up both the old and the new desktop and brought it back the next day with all of my files loaded onto my new machine. Matt made it easy for me to access all of my files which is amazing if you've ever had to bring all of your files over from an old computer to a new one. There aren't many pc repair businesses in the Lehigh Valley. So, if you need a reliable choice,…read moremake it Microapex and here is why. First, they have 2 locations. This one on Business Ln and another @ 1801 Union Blvd (this one is close Mon/Tues). Second, they will make an attempt to quickly fix issues without cost to you. Now, I can't say this for every issue. However on both occasions where we have used them they made an effort to honestly save us the cost of a repair with a simple fix. Third, they are reasonably price out their work. We came from a major metro area (Las Vegas) where the cost of computer repairs are significantly higher for similar work. Fourth, they have good complaint resolution. The second time we used them for a repair there were serious questions we had multiple aspects of the repair. Nott only did both locations willingly offer to solve them. They put the puter at the top of the repair que and we had the computer back the next day @ 100% and updated. Now, you may wonder why we didn't give them 5 stars. Well, there is room for improvement and growth. However know this we would have no trouble at all sending your computers in for repair/upgrade....errr mean send OUR computers back for repair/upgrade Don't even think about using the Geek Squad here in the Valley when we have a place like this.

At first I thought that maybe it was some kind of malware after letting my kid use it for his games.
