He then canceled, because his team couldn't do it due to the inexpected passing of a family member of his team. Having just gone through this myself, I completely understood, of course. Since we were already in town, my husband and I took the time to continue sorting on our own. When we talked later in the day, John and i looked for another date when I could be back in town, and it would leave enough time for his team to be able to come back to work. There were four or five days that worked for both of us, but he gave me all sorts of reasons why it would be difficult to work on a Saturday and Sunday, even though he was free. He also needed to see if his team would be "interested in working that weekend," because they "usually like to have a few days off." Instead of trying his best to reschedule, he told me I could call the Salvation Army. There was no indication that he was sorry he couldn't do the job. I was given his name through our realtor, and we are both frustrated with his unprofessional behavior.
