The was actually the second time I've been to double click. First was during covid, had a problem with my old laptop and they kept it running for another year. This time around I needed my iTunes music library transferred to my new laptop. I'd been trying to do it for two years, but had a hard time. They explained everything fairly clearly, and ended up grabbing the music from the old one (rather than a Zip drive it was on, but was likely damaged). It only took a couple hours and the price was quite fair. Highly recommend for any computer needs! read more

Just plain useless. I'm an IT professional for a living and manage many servers in our data center, so I know when drives are on their way out. The Fusion drive on my iMac is failing - the Solid State Drive (SSD) in particular. I called and explained the situation and said that I wanted the SSD replaced. They tell me that their tech needs to run diagnostics on the drive, but appreciate my diagnostics. I say no, I just want the drive replaced (I don't need to spend $145/hr to have someone tell me what I already know). They look up my serial number and see that it's still under AppleCare. I ask that they order the part and let me know when its in, so I can come in, have the work done and leave. They say that it will take 3-4 days to get the part, and that the machine must stay with them during that period. That's insane, but they further tell me that it's their policy because in the past, people have not brought the mac back and they got stuck the part cost. Ok, then take my credit card and bill me if I'm an no show. Nope, they refused. My mac is operating, albeit at reduced efficiency, but that's my call. My data is triple backed up, so I could care less the drive completely fails. They have now lost a customer who has purchased other macs from them in the past. You, @Doubleclick, are not listening to your customer's needs. Shame on you. I see no value-add whatsoever to doing business with DoubleClick. Never again. read more

Worst services I've ever experienced from a computer store. Dropped off my computer for a simple tune up on Monday morning and was told it would be 1-2 business days (Wednesday). Called on Thursday and they told me it was FORGOTTEN and no one had looked at it so it wouldn't be done until Friday. I received NO phone call about this. The owner/manager of the store, Michael, was very very rude to me on the phone. When I asked for him to make this discrepancy right he implied I was being unreasonable. I will never have my computer serviced here again. Awful awful management. I am a physician at a local hospital and will be sure to inform all my colleagues of the terrible service I received here. Do yourself a favor and just go to Best Buy. Addendum: Owner did eventually make it right and apologized. May have been because of this review. Earned a few points back. read more

My gosh. We've owned iMacs and other Apple products for over 12 years. I was tired of MS PCs due to viruses and GPFs, so went with Apple. We were warned by a friend who's a computer geek to buy AppleCare. I did but Apple did a horrendous job replacing two hard drives (under warranty) on two computers we got at the same time. The backup destroyed files and had files put in strange places, so I had to go to another shop and they were horrible. The shops were in NC. I had another AppleCare xxx have me reinstall OS X on a different Mac and it was messed up, but I'm living with it. When we moved to Allentown, I took a 2017 iMac to Epoch computers because Apple had my spouse install a new OS X and that froze the computer totally. Epoch managed to unfreeze it but ignored my instructions and made a mess out of the computer. MS Office was dead and I had to purchase a new license (so I had the cost for ill-repair+cost MS Home/Office). We lived with that for 3 years. It was slow (took about 5 minutes to boot it up to the login) then @4 mins. to finish bringing it up. I was afraid to take it anywhere. And, we couldn't live with it the way it kept slowing down I was worried about the expense of getting MS Office. I considered buying a new Mac and they're very expensive and with a useless warranty, had to consider finding another place to fix it and I've spent 12 years with unsuccessful fixes. Got a recommendation for Double Click in Bethlehem. I held my breath and finally took it in yesterday @11. I picked it up today. They used their own backup. Everything came up. MS Word and Excel work fine. They replaced the hard drive (old with moving parts), did a backup and restore, and it works! I'm really excited about it. Thanks to the nerdy guys and very sweet gal there for their help. They are amazing. read more

Having been an Apple Store user for repairs and so on, I can say will no longer be using the Apple Stores and going to Double Click for all the repairs and Apple purchases. I had an urgent need for a MacBook Pro repair for the kid who is finishing up college at home due to the COVID-19 issues. MacBook would not charge. We had had the battery replaced at an Apple Store in January and all was good until the MacBook would not charge via the charge port any longer. A panicked call to Double Click and we have an appointment. We could have been looking at a new battery or a logic board but the guys at Double Click noticed the connector from the port to the logic board was not properly installed by the Apple Store folks. A quick fix and we're on our way with a working MacBook again. Relieved college kid and relieved Dad. Job well done and a new customer for sure now. read more

Not helpful at all. Had an attitude from the moment we walked in there. Basically told us we were stupid for not knowing my wife's $3000 5 year old laptop was now considered "vintage" and basically "obsolete" now. When we brought up how incredible insane that was he suggested that we "wouldn't get much more use out of a PC" I laughed directly in his face. My PC is at least 10 years old, runs amazing and parts are available for them for decades. Won't be purchasing a new MAC and will never step foot in that place again, nor will I make sure any of my friends do. read more

My early 2011 Macbook Pro could not connect to my start up disk and the Apple Store could not repair it because it is considered "vintage". One of their tactics to get you to buy a new $2000 system, I guess. Here comes Double Click. First of all, their parking is behind the building. Jack is amaze-balls. He was able to check my disk was okay and replaced the cable right then and there! I also learned about how to take better care of my hard drive, current Mac models, and the future of computer memory! Highly recommend. You'll get A++ service here, promise! read more

Amazing shop with a QUICK turnaround! These folks took in my laptop and fixed the water damaged keyboard in less then a day! (they charged me HALF of what Apple quoted me for the same repair.) If you have an Apple computer that you need to have fixed don't hesitate to take it here! read more

Very helpful! Took my MacBook Pro to an Apple store and then here. They were able to tell me here things that the Apple store could not and had a more accurate diagnosis. Were able to clean my external hard drive and save all my information from it very quickly. Was willing to discuss various price differences between them and Apple for various services. Kind and helpful staff. Consider going here before an Apple store for sure! read more

I reached out to Double Click earlier this week to schedule a replacement of my HD on my 2011 iMac, Will from the Service Department responded to my inquiry and he informed me they could get it done yesterday for me (Friday 11/3), and they would only need the computer for a couple of hours (I did not need them to restore any of my data as I can handle that on my own). When I arrived, I dropped the computer off, while I was signing the paperwork, Will had already taken the computer back to the backroom to start the teardown. Under two hours later, I returned to the shop after running errands I had planned, and the computer was done and all boxed up for me and ready to go! I highly recommend Double Click, they were great to work with and I will gladly use them again for any future upgrades or repairs as needed! read more

Just to give a public update- Double Click Computers reached out to me to "try to fix the situation", ONLY after I left a public negative review. Initially there was "nothing they could do." Ultimately they ended up choosing not to do anything about it regardless. I spent a decent amount of time talking with Apple Support and in the Apple Store and everyone was appalled that they refused to take responsibility for their mistake and did not repair/replace my phone for free...which is what Apple ended up doing as they felt responsible for recommending Double Click Computers in the first place. So, my comment stands, avoid Double Click Computers at all cost. Just suck it up and wait to get in with the Apple Store instead. read more

They have lost my business. My visit today made me never want to go back, which is a shame since I've had a good experience there in the past. I asked a question on a laptop, the very nice employee went to check with a person who I am guessing is the owner/manager. Well, he couldn't have been more condescending to his own employee, to the point that I said "he's only asking because I asked the question" (i.e. I'm standing right here, I can hear you, and you're implying I'm an idiot). I mean, seriously, can we as consumers ask no questions to these "geniuses" (as if)? I felt so bad for the employee I actually told him I was sorry I "got him in trouble". Too bad, they've lost my business (I probably would have bought the $1200 laptop) and I'll do nothing but tell others not to bother going there. read more
