We ordered our couch and loveseat back in August 2020. It arrived in November damaged. We put in a replacement order and it came in December 2020 damaged. We have now called customer service for the 7th time to sit on the phone for an hour so they can attempt to fix what the customer service person before them did wrong in putting in the order. I've asked to speak to a supervisor 4 times and have spoken to one because they came to the phone during the customer service call. The other 3 were supposed to call back have not. We received our delivery fee rightly so but we were also offered a store credit of 200$ and it was put in for $70. They say they have fixed it now. Except 5 months later and our furniture is still damaged. This has been a nightmare. read more

4 months and NO FURNITURE DELIVERED! My children ordered a complete bedroom suite from them. 3+ months later they have a dresser that doesn't work properly and nothing else. Someone has to take off work to be home for a delivery that doesn't occur. Several delivery promises have been made and broken. They do not respond to requests for accurate information, have been hung up on my service personnel, and are without a bedroom that they paid cash for. Due to excessive delays, they do not even have 1 day left of the 100 day return policy. I would have demanded my money back, personally. Worst customer service ever!!!! We had a very large order on May 22nd 2021 was told we would receive our whole order that Tuesday the 25th. It is now July 16th and our delivery has been delayed 4 times now. I get stuff goes on backorder bit no apologies from management Derell from the Portland OR location. I went to Ashley, my sales guy was very nice and friendly. We bought a king bed and frame. My delivery date was the 22nd. I had someone at my home the day waiting for it. When it arrived and started to be assembled, the frame was missing several pieces. And there was no mattress on the truck. All was taken back. I received a call from the warehouse saying they expect the mattress to arrive to them the next day. I recieved several emails to reschedule but the link was to the same month calendar and it was all booked. I stopped into the store last week, around the 27th to inquire. I was told my delivery date was the 8th, to which I said I was not available and had to have a Saturday delivery. No problem they got me on Saturday. I am very frustrated with this whole experience, I have purchased before with Ashley and did not have this much trouble. I was sleeping on the floor due to this whole ordeal. I went in today, the 6th, to cancel most of my order and asked that my 99.00 delivery fee be refunded and that was not something the service desk was ableto do. I cancelled my entire order, went across the street to another company and came home with what I needed, same day. Beyond frustrated over this transaction, and sad they were more interested in keeping the delivery fee than keeping my business. read more

Poor customer service, poor quality furniture, trouble from the time the items were delivered. Color wore off table in about 6 weeks, chips in furniture, chairs not level. Ultimately, some items were not fixed, told no way to return items and that speaking to a manager wouldn't help, nothing would be done. Chairs rocked and didn't set even. Was told my floor was not level. Ashley-contracted repairman knew this would happen and said "Ashley says that"; he took pics of furniture and floor with level to show proof. Still no help and they refused to come attempt to fix. Would love to hear how many others have heard this!!! read more

Literally has been the absolute worst experience of my entire life. First they tried to charge us twice for delivery, we caught that. Then we see that they charged us $200 for a mattress protector they failed to mention. Delivery was set for Friday Dec 3rd. Friday comes & we get a phone call "we have your mattress and would like to schedule delivery" so we schedule for Tuesday. Tuesday is now here & I tried getting a window for delivery time, only to be told in the system it shows our mattress is in the warehouse ready for pickup. Called the local Ashleys and I'm 120 in line. Which sounds about right. 100000/10 do not recommend. read more

Wish I could give less than a one star. We ordered two recliners from the Clarksville store. It took 7 weeks to get delivery. One chair started acting up a week later. We are now 8 more weeks in and still nothing has been done. We have spoken to four people and no one calls us back. Supposedly they ordered a part and want to send someone to pick up the chair and take it who knows where..for who knows how long. So we would have no chair and out $450. Hmmmm...?? Buyer beware! Zero stars! Ashley customer service and furniture are the worst. I will never purchase another piece of furniture directly from Ashley Furniture. I cannot add up the wasted amount of time calling customer service and waiting up to 40 mins on hold. I have had issues since the day I placed an order. No communication when delivery date was changed. Not all items delivered because the chest was never loaded on the delivery truck. When I no longer wanted to wait over 2 months for a sectional, they wanted to charge me 15% to cancel the order. Really!? Then I had to have a chest and dresser replaced due to poor quality with drawers not closing of falling apart. I'm still calling because of poor communication trying to have the replacement chest delivered. Even once your call is answered, the rep will disconnect with you or transfer without notice and have you wait another 30 or more mins. If disconnected, why not just call the customer right back (the number is right in front of the rep)? The anxiety of dealing with this place is tremendous. Stay away and find a much better place which will cater to you, the customer. Try Bel Furniture and if near Houston, American Furniture Warehouse. Do not waste your time with Ashely!!! read more

Ordered a mattress and box 2 weeks ago online. One hour before the schedules delivery window I receive a call saying that they did not have the mattress in stock in the warehouse and it will not be able to be delivered until sometime in May. If they did not have it in stock, why did they sell it to me. This type of action in my opinion is borderline fraud and very unethical. My window to order these items online is now closed and will have to go to a store (not Ashley) to get them. Not to mention the hours on hold today in my efforts to cancel the order. I really didn't want to yelp but I feel I need to. I have made a purchase of about $8,000.00 ( a dinning table set and a bedroom set) the manager was great throughout the process but when it came down to receiving my furniture that's when it all began. I was set to receive my furniture on a specific day and was told that I would be receiving a call from the company to confirm my delivery (within 24 hrs) I never did so I called customer service to confirm my delivery. They said, "Oh your delivery will not be delivered tomorrow as the order is not complete ". I was obviously upset because I was not informed. The new delivery date was pushed to three weeks later. I then received my furniture and basically everything was damaged. The table was broken the bed frame was broken the mirror for the dresser was broken. I became aware of the bed the first night I slept on it as it made a cracking sound when I got on. For the dinning table we had dinner for the first time and the table moved sideways. I then called customer service again and they told me that a technician would have to come out and look at the furniture. They set a date for two weeks later. I was not ok with the time frame and had them send someone out immediately. This was finally set and the technician came out the next day. He basically confirmed what I already knew. The table was missing three screws and one of the pieces was broken. He also confirmed that the bed frame was broken. I have parts being delivered maybe in the next three weeks to fix my broken furniture but this is ridiculous as now my bed is making more noises than the first day. I will be asking for a refund and I better get a full refund because this is absolutely not the quality I was expecting. read more

I bought a leather sofa sleeper online in mid April and did not receive my order. In early July I cancelled my order in which I paid in full for nearly $1500.00. As of today July 27th I haven't received my refund.?? Now I can continue to call them and they continue to hang up on me?? Please avoid at all cost buying from this business. I will soon be taking legal action to not only get my full refund but for time wasted on doing so. My experience could be rated as TERRIBLE!!! Beware of Ashley Furniture. They are quite anxious to wait on you as soon as you enter the store to pursue a sale. They are quite helpful and positive until you sign the contract which is on their tablet that is placed in your face. I never received a copy of the contract, only a copy of the Invoice. They make sure you are committed in all their paperwork. Once they deliver the items and you sign for them that is the end of help you will receive. I signed for a piece of furniture, they hurried out and when I dusted it off and looked it all over I found the defects and bad workmanship. I immediately called customer care and sent the pictures they requested. I have now been ignored and unable to contact them. I have called and put on hold and gave up after 40 minutes. They won't answer the email either. Once they get your money they are no longer interested. Beware you have been warned of the Customer Care department and service after the sale!!! read more

SOOO Disappointed! We spent $3000 on a couch set that had problems with the love seat. Now here we are 7 months later and it's STILL not fixed and Ashleys JUST NOW decided that they would replace it. We bought three sofas two of which were convertible for $2500 with an extra warranty. Within a year, one had become unusable due to bad workmanship. Reason: the construction was shoddy. Over time, the second failed. After about four years, those two are junk. The third is used rarely and has held together. The Ashley homestore in brooklyn where we purchased them gave us a long runaround on warranty, then on service. We were shuttled from office to office with nobody taking responsibility. I finally wrote the president of the company, who told me to get lost. Buy Ashley at your peril. read more

I will not be recommending to all my family and friends not to purchase anything from Ashley Furniture. I will make sure to share this feedback in all places allowed. I have had them come out three times to fix issues with my kitchen table, with my bed they just sent the materials for me to fix myself. Which was difficult to do. They had to completely replace my kitchen one time, even though the description said it had heat protection on it. I recently called because there was another heat issue, a broken bench, and a broken leg on a chair.  I purchased this in July of 2019, and they told me the item is now disconnected. They would have to offer a store credit, I asked about a refund since the quality of the furniture is not good. They also informed me that I would have to pay for delivery and for the warranty. That will come out to about $300. So because of their poor products, I am forced to pay extra for something that was not my fault. Along with stuck using Ashley furniture because they won't allow for a refund. This is really disappointing and a terrible structure to force people to buy their products, and even when using a credit still make money off a customer. read more

Now, dozens of calls later and 4 canceled deliveries later, they're saying that it will now be mid august before I get a replacement. Dont order from them. I give this store two stars because in store the sales people were very nice and professional and because when I FINALLY got my furniture, I am pretty happy with it. The problem? Where do I even start? I understand the shipping issues with the pandemic, but if they had been remotely honest about how long it would take to get my order, I would have gone elsewhere and chosen something in stock. It took more than twice as long as they estimated. Worse, there was a total lack of communication and calling customer service was a joke. Finding out you are 287fh in line isn't too inspiring and it takes hours to get somebody who really can't tell you anything about the status of your order. Just no way to run a business. On the plus side, one of my items was clearly defective (a big rip in the fabric of a chair) and they took it back and got me a new one in days, not months as I feared. I cannot recommend this place unless you have no timeline and enjoy being stressed and being on hold for half a day. read more

I have been lied to so many times on when the furniture would in stock that I finally just gave up and went back to the store and asked for a complete refund on 8/29/21. I was told they were very sorry and would process a refund within 2 weeks. I still have not received any communication from Ashley so I called them today, 9/15. I was told they were not allowed to provide me with any of the internal contact information for their corporate location. Not even a phone number or email....again super frustrating. BUYER BEWARE....read all of the other reviews that are just like mine....they take your money....they do not provide you with any ACCURATE or TRUTHFUL updates and then when you finally ask for a refund after almost 4 months of waiting....you are just left with noone wanting to talk to you and no way to contact anyone from corporate to even complain. WORST company to buy furniture from ever. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and writing any review I can. I am also working on getting that number for corporate. I spent 3500 on a fake leather couch and was pushed into getting the warranty by a very insistent sales lady, I specifically asked her if the warranty covered the leather peeling and she said yes, of course. First and last purchase from Ashley Furniture Homestore. We bought the recliner, no problem. They even delivered it on the day they said they would. My problem is there was a electrical problem immediately. Since I bought a expensive extra coverage plan, and it is under warranty, I figured no problem. So we call for a tech. The best he can do is 3 weeks out. WTF? Brand new, expensive recliner and it's like "Meh" from them. Oh, I fixed the problem myself. Not only did Ashley's do this to me, but my daughter moved into a new apartment and ordered a living room set. They show up, after she specifically said what was a good time for her, late, and create havoc. Then the two men couldn't figure out how to get the sofa through the standard sized door. WTF? I'm 300 miles away from where she lives, and I had to tell them how to do their job! THEN they made her sign a waiver, stating if there was any damage done doing it the way I suggested, she would be stuck paying for a damaged sofa. WTF? No, our whole family is done with Ashley's Furniture. We will sit on the floor before we'd do business with them ever again. They just lost customers. That's plural! I had to update this review already. On my daughter's furniture, they said it would by on a certain date. The salesman even showed her on the computer it would be on a specific date, not to worry. Now that our local store is corporate it's horrible. We placed an order in October, brought 3 chairs, 2 were defective took weeks to get repaired. Brought end tables, 2 were defective! Sent us the part for 1 and wanted us to repair it! Took weeks to send out person to repair and yesterday after a 10 hour wait they came to exchange the other table. Neither delivery person wore mask correctly. Still waiting for furniture, they now say end of APRIL! Even though they implied we could have by Christmas. Very disappointed. read more

I ordered furniture Aug 8 from the Midland TX store with assurance it would be delivered 6-8 weeks. Received different furniture 5 months later after numerous hour long calls waiting on customer service to help me. The reason was they were waiting on a bed rail. I asked for a refund so I could go get a bunk bed from somewhere else. They refused to refund me. I finally said just send me a bed and dresser, which they did. You won't get your furniture for 4 months! What!? Maybe November or December? This was the worst retail experience I've ever had! But they did not tell us that. We purchased furniture on July 5th. We were supposed to get confirmation of date of delivery within 8 days. It never came. I called the store last Friday and was told I "just have to wait". Today, we went to the store to get a date of delivery. We spoke to the office manager Lisa. She is the most rude, condescending person I have ever had the displeasure meeting. For an office manager she is the worst! We canceled our order today because we not willing to wait for at least 4 months for living room furniture. Lisa didn't really care one way or the other and would not forego the $250 restocking fee. Even though there's nothing to restock! They just took my hard earned money and really didn't give a damn! We bought a living room set in early Dec 2020 at Merced. The sales lady was almost forcing us to buy something and was behind us every 5 mins. We did like a living room set and decided to buy it. We refused to buy the protection plan but they gave it us for free. The delivery was scheduled for Dec 23 and on the same day we found that it was less expensive on the online store of the same shop. We contacted the store manager and asked about it. She was just trying to get out of the conversation stating that we had a 48 month payment plan and the online was just a 12 month plan. We definitely had the money to buy the set but just wanted to use it as they were offering it for free. The prices of the couches fell down further in a couple of days. We bought a 3 seater sofa for ~$1300 and the current price online in the same store is ~$999. So imagine how they cheat a customer when they visit a store. We asked for a price match but the store manager refused it as the items had been delivered. Never visit the Ashley store as they are definitely going to cheat you. On a personal level, I almost wasted $1000 in excess. It is hard earned money and we had been living without a couch for almost 5 years and these people cheated us. read more

After buying our Lounge and Arm Chairs and waiting 4 months we received our Furniture. On installation found 1 arm chair arm lose and wobbling approx 1" each way. We also noticed our 3.5 seater lounge squeaking when sitting on it. I called the store and advised we have 12 months warranty so see if the sqeak goes and if not report both and we will put the claim in. After a couple of months the sound got worse so reported both issues. After 12 emails and the furniture technician sending his report all communication stopped. after many phone calls to store and "emails and calls to the product care insurance Team, Yes they do not do their warranty the out source it"we have had no phone calls emails or any correspondence from anyone at all. This whole process has been an absolute nightmare and will never ever deal with Johnnys Furniture Group Again as This is the group who own Ashleys. It is now in the hands of fair trading. read more

My husband and I went to Ashley's on October 2 to purchase a new couch. While in the store we found a couch that would work for our needs. The clerk (who was new) assisted us with the purchase. The couch was marked on sale at $1399. They wanted to sell us a protection package and charge a delivery setup fee taking the total to $1750. We declined the protection plan and asked about free delivery which was as being advertised all over the store. The clerk and the floor manager told us the delivery fee was for setup and delivery and this purchase did not qualify for free delivery . The couch we chose is a low profile couch in sections with throw pillows (no assembly required)... after declining again the manager said he could drop the delivery fee if we bought the protection plan. After around 10 minutes of feeling like we were on a used car lot, we said we were going to look elsewhere. It was this point the manager realized they were about to lose our business and reluctantly agreed to sell us the couch for the listed price. Another painstaking 30+ minutes, we made the purchase. The sales clerk let us know the delivery date would be November 12. Fast forward to the date in question, no couch. On November 13th we called Ashley and we were informed the delivery would be December 3. Well December 3 came and went, no couch. On December 4th today, we received 1 piece of the 4 piece sectional. After calling customer service and waiting on hold for over 20 minutes someone answered and then the phone disconnected. Try this three more times until finally reaching a representative by pressing the (make a payment) selection we were informed the other three pieces will not be delivered until February 15th... Absolutely unacceptable service. I will not be recommending Ashley's to friends or family and will be seeking a refund. ***UPDATE*** 12/16/2020 We called and canceled the rest of the order on 12/15/2020. The representative assured us the cancellation was processed and she gave us a case number. She states that the the rest of the couch had not been shipped. She gave us a "case number" and we hoped that would be the end of this experience. Today 12/16/2020 we received a call from Ashley's stating they could not cancel the order as it has already shipped. The representative said she could not tell us the date that it shipped and was confused why we were told it was canceled. Next stop BBB and small claims court! read more

I was promised delivery on 2/21. I flew.to PCB to accept delivery. I waited until Noon, no show. then I called. I'm told I'm not on the books for delivery. I don't live there so I had to fly home. I had to hire someone for new date 2/26 to wait. Driver calls to say he is close, Then calls back and said sofa not on truck. I have a guest checking in and need sofa so I had to buy a sofa and my husband had to call out of work to take it down. I'm out so much money and time. Terrible customer service.
