Scam Alert.....!! Do not buy from this store. They run a scam. They take away the money in advance and keep postponing to deliver items you bought. They try to put you in awkward situation by delivering some parts of the set you order (for example, they plan to deliver mirror of dresser, headboard of beds, chairs of dining set) and keep you waiting the rest of the parts / furniture set. Do not fall into their trap. They do not deliver the order on time. They fool you with excuses of pandemic, manufacturing process, delivery from the factory, etc and keep postponing the delivery of furniture on time. We ordered dining table set, server, Sofa set, bed set on May 28, 2021 for a new house. They said all items will be delivered by mid of July 2021. It is a huge pain. They keep postponing delivery dates and furniture items. They wanted to deliver items in parts. For example, they planned to deliver mirror of dresser one day, and they do not have plan/date for the dresser delivery. They delivered dining table set, server, sofa set in two different days. They made us call customer service several times because; they keep changing the delivery date and the delivery items. We are still pending to receive the bed set. We are tired of calling the customer services. They kept postponing bed set delivery plan from July to Aug to Sept to Oct. And in our latest follow up call in early September, they said they plan to deliver dresser in Sept 16th, Mirror in Oct 26thand rest of the bed set items next year, and do not know the estimate. We requested to cancel the order twice. They said cancel team will call in 48 hours and they never called. We reached out to sales agent, she said her Manager will call in 48 hours and no calls received. One call to customer service takes away 30-45 minutes. No wonder, how many calls we made. I regret for choosing the Ashley furniture. Also, please do not buy from this Ashley store. Their store prices are higher than the online price. Store Manager said it is a misconception of customers to assume that store prices and online prices will be the same. The stores are the franchise of Ashley, not the company. We ordered some living room furniture from the Ashley location in Niles. We noticed the layout here was a lot nicer and had more to offer. Danny Dajani took very good care of us with our purchase and even went out of his way to make sure everything was right with our purchase down to the financing and the day of delivery. I purchased a couch on 6/13 it was delivered a week later, while looking for a new couch on their website (a few days after delivery) I saw that I grossly overpaid for the couches just purchased. I contacted my salesman Atieh. I left a few messages for him, I also spoke to him when he promised to call back after speaking to his manager. I was hoping to get some money off of the new couch I was going to purchase. I got no response from my salesperson or the customer service manager, Viti. I conveniently finally spoke to the manager after the couches went off of sale online & it was past the 30 day return period. The couch is average, but their customer service was deceptive. we were scheduled for delivery of a warranty-replacement mattress on sunday, august 8, 2021 between 1-5 pm. we had received the confirmation calls on saturday! at 2:15pm on sunday, i called to see if we could get an update on our delivery time. we were told that we were stop #11 and the driver, now on stop #6, would be there within the window. at 5:00pm, i called again; the driver was on stop #7 (really! 3hours on one stop!). our new delivery time was moved to 6:30pm. at 7:00pm, i called only to hear a recorded announcement that the store was closed! at 9:00pm, we received a call from the driver that they would be here in 10 minutes, and "there is no need to call me back". at 9:15 pm, the delivery truck arrived. the driver had a story about the truck breaking down, etc..... my issue: why didn't we receive status calls rather than me having to track the truck down? read more

Terrible experience. Ricardo Silva "helped" us out. He made major and multiple mistakes with our order. This resulted in long delivery times, 2 of the same couch(instead of the 3 pcs set) and personally picking up part of our order because he incorrectly marked items for pick up(when everything was marked for delivery). Ricardo was absolutely unhelpful as he never answered his phone/emails/texts. Buying from this store isn't worth the product when they give you fake deals, fake promises, and have terrible customer service. When I was able to finally get a hold of ricardo, he ended the conversation with, "I'll see what I can do", and it's been over a week with no response. Other than Ricardo, the rest of the customer service was horrendous. I had to call to get the incorrect phone number fixed, but out of the 7 people I talked to and confirmed it was fixed, NONE of them ever fixed the issue, causing longer delays. I spent over three thousand dollars on furniture so when I received the wrong furniture I was more than disappointed. The day my furniture was delivered I noticed right away that the tables were not what I had ordered. I compared my paper work with the delivery paper work, and to my surprise it matched. The sales lady had put in the wrong sku number. I refused the the tables, but the delivery guy talked me into signing because that way I would get the correct furniture faster. I also went to the store immediately to tell them what happened. A copy of my paper work was taken, and I was told I would receive a phone call the next day telling me when i could expect my new delivery date. By noon I had not received a phone call. I called the store, and Ramen "the store manager" said why would I randomly call you?! Then proceed to say why would you sign if it's wrong. It's policy and procedure, and because Lisa did not did her job right he would give me my correct tables for the same price. By this time I was fuming. I ended up calling head quarters, and received a totally appropriate response from the one I first got. I was told she would email the vendor, but couldn't promise anything. Didn't buy anything as I needed to get more measurements from the place before making a commitment but I was looking for a dining room table and chairs. I got called picky because I knew specifically what style I wanted because I'm in a wheelchair and need something that will be accessible for me. It is not his place to judge me for knowing what I needed and what would not work with my disability. My mother asked to see the weight restrictions and Brad our salesman couldn't find it and said "most people aren't over 250 so I think it's fine but you might need to look elsewhere if that's an issue" my mom and I are a bit chubby and did not need to be shamed like that on a casual Sunday afternoon after I got shamed for being disabled. He came back and said everything was regulated for 300 pounds after the weight shaming but still looking elsewhere so I'm not shamed by Brad again and hope he gets sensitivity training. read more

The worst furniture I ever had. I bought 7888 USD this February in this store. After 3 months, there are still very strong smell from one king size bed and two night stands. I called their 866-436-3388 number, after waiting for more than 10 days there is a "technician" come over and did 5 minutes "test". He said they will call me back within 1-2 days. Then after another 10 days, not any call. Then last night the sofa's back broken itself! Almost hurt my 5 yrs daughter. I called again, every time waiting on line over 30 mins, but just couldn't get anyone answer the phone. Now what can I do? Well I want to say if you are looking for high quality and great customer service...go to another furniture store. My husband and I bought a new home and our friends said go to Ashley over by Triangle Towne Center Mall. We got great service and a great deal. So we went in and got help from salesman Larry Trent. We found the bedroom furniture we wanted and it was set out for delivery. Due to the Covid situation, we knew it would be a couple of weeks. When due date came and no furniture, my husband called. He was told that his purchase says lay-a-way. He calls and speaks with Larry and he says ooh we have a new system and I was not familiar with it and did not know there was additional paperwork to complete. Larry offers an "upgrade" of His choice instead of asking what he could do for us. Let me also say my husband is a disabled vet. So because we knew we were getting a delivery on 1-17-2022, we donated our old bed to an elderly couple and needless to say , now we are out of old bedding and do not have the new bedding either. Having to figure all this out and what to do at this point, fast forward to today 1-28-2022. The furniture is delivered and a drawer on each dressers is cracked along with the headboard. Now my husband told me our upgrade was going to be a tempur pedic mattress (however you say it). And it is not. My husband calls the store manager and she is not available. The Rep from Ashley said the Manager would call back. Nope, she had Larry Trent call and he said the upgrade was for the adjustable Frame and not the Mattress. My husband is so sick and tired of this he said just forget it. I don't feel like arguing with them. They are always going to find a way to be right. OOh and let's not forget about the broken new items that was delivered. We was told that they will replace the items and send them by FedEx in 7-10 business days. Once we receive it, then call them and they will have a rep to come out and reinstall ...and that could 3-5 business days to get the rep out once we get the replaced items. But Larry Trent did not let us get but 5 feet from the last hand shake of leaving the store originally before he said...Ooh please be sure to give me all 10's when you do your survey about your visit today, it makes me look good when we have our meetings. I want Ashley to know if they want to respond to this, DO NOT CONTACT MY HUSBAND. He is done. I am the one that thought other people need to know Ashley A'INT worth the hype. First and last time of doing business with this store. Took them 2 months to assemble a broken desk delivered by them. Customer service sucks, they did mention we do not buy directly from Ashley's furniture but from a franchise company. They are horrible to deal with; they do not stand by their policy and they also have a NO refund No return policy and they do not honor the 30 days like it says online. Desk is a piece of trash and they kept the money and we still waiting on their tech to come and repair. read more

I ordered a queen mattress for my guest bedroom. When I left the store I forgot to confirm that it is 12 inches in height. I called ether salesperson on his cell phone number he provided and he confirmed it's 12 inches. The mattress arrived and it was 8 inches. Mistakes happen, but the frustration came when trying to reach the store via phone. I called over 20 times and each time it wrang 5 times and would disconnect. After 2 hours of trying to text the store I decided to call the salespersons (Taj) cell phone. I left a message and never got a return call. I had to drive 15 miles to the store just to get someone to talk to (that sucks). When speaking to the manager about the phone issue, she didn't seem concerned and admitted to not taking the calls and pushing them to call customer service where you wait for hours on hold. I have a similar complaint to someone below- never ever purchase a bed frame from here!!!! These products are pure junk. Ours was so flimsy and cheaply made that it broke in a month. Working with "customer service" is a nightmare. I don't have time to be constantly spending time during my working hours on constant call backs and follow ups. Everyone is trying to blame everyone else, "oh no it's the warehouse issue" or "oh this is a corporate issue." No responsibility taken. Finally, Ashley offered to send replacement parts-- over a month later and still absolutely no sign of these parts. The event starts back May 29th. I purchased a dinning room set and was told the approximate delivery date would be july 10th. I proceed with the purchase. A month goes by expecting the delivery. No follow up on my purchase so i decide to call cust service the response is that the new approximate delivery date is now august 20th. I guess following up with a purchase and building a relationship means nothing in this business. I proceed to locate the same item at a competitor that says to me we have the same set. Now i was concerned becouse the sales person at ashley explained to me that competitors sets may look the same and built by ashley but the quality was at a lower level. Come to find out that was a sales lie. I decide to go and get a refund. The first sales person Danny tells me you cannot get a refund at the store and i need to call customer sevice. I mean i paid at the store why wouldn't i be able to get a refund there. Next i ask for a manager and Danny says "there is nobody available and doesn't know where the manager is. Now i needed to engage another associate that called for a manager and 5 min later she arrives, wow like magic! Now i explain my situation and request the refund. She speaks of the 10% cancelation fee. I asked if it could be waived and she says first it cant be waived. Then says she can take the 10% off of my purchase that i have to wait another 5 weeks for. Now i am all confused. Why is it you can take it off the bill but not the refund? Just didnt seem fair. She is totally just thinking of the sale not the customer experience. I ask her if she would write that down on a paper and she refused. I also asked to have a business card and didnt have one. I was going to go to the competitor and ask if they would price match her with the offered 10% discount. This idea just infuriated her. Again not thinking if the customer just the sale. You see my goal was get the same set just quicker without having to pay more. In an angry manner as i was leaving, She then states that she could of offered me $300 off but i didn't give her the chance. Sorry just didnt believe that. Also mentions this is business. Look i have been evolved in a few business ventures. My greatest succeses were from repeat business. She probably can add and count. Maybe write a schedule, turn an alarm off and lock a door but running a business and people skills was very much lacking. Definitely never going back. I bought a floor model power base, mattress and headboard from Ashley and had issues since the 1st delivery. Starting with the delivery guy forgetting the remote for the power base and I had to go and pick it up which is a 45 min drive for me and an inconvenience for something they forgot. 2nd problem they said I had to reset the control for the base and I could YouTube it or call their mgr Ramen if I needed help so I did and when I called I was told he didn't know how to do it so I had to call The manufacturer for help. 3rd problem when they delivered the headboard since I was not given the screws for the power base they could not attach the headboard so now the headboard is on the floor cause I don't have a manual on how to flip the base where it needs to attach. Such a headache with the whole purchase from the delivery and customer service that I would not recommend. read more

For someone with a lack of interior design skills the best part of Ashley is that they can design a room for you with their 14 piece sets. The furniture was cute and the additional accessory pieces and end tables and such were a plus. Anna, I believe was the salesperson who helped us out was not overly pushy and very helpful. We were super excited for our delivery. Duh duh duh....now comes the delivery. Managed to schedule the delivery as the same time as another delivery and I thought I had it made. I mean the week of the delivery I got 5 automated calls to confirm it so I thought we were all good. Well they came at the tail end of the delivery. First they came and had the sofa correct, but not the loveseat. The delivery person asked me if that was correct. Ah no, I got a 14 piece set why would I get a different looking couch? Oh and my coffee table arrived broken. So of course I had to reschedule. Fast forward to second delivery. They got the sofa right, but the coffee table was still broken (which includes the end tables by the way so I couldn't get those either). So alas, I had to schedule a 3rd delivery (family member was nice enough to wait for them). Again my family member was told the table was still broken and so nothing was delivered. At least I got refunded my delivery and I won't be charged for the coffee table and end tables since they were never delivered. However, I don't think I'm getting the time back from rescheduling 2 additional deliveries. Waaa....what a pain! read more

They also left a bunch of half-removed staples from underneath the table, which I discovered when I first sat down and got stabbed in the knee. Their claims dept promised us a refund of the delivery fee and some money to repair the wall; however two months later we've seen no money and I cannot get a response from the store manager's email, the claims department email, or customer service email. I took off work waiting for delivery. Nobody ever called with time window. When I called them it took 30 minutes to get thru to anyone. I bought queen sized metal platform bedframe from here against my gut instincts. I sat on the one on the store and it squeaked. I mentioned to the sales person who i didnt ask for help but wanted to bother me anyway that i liked that bed but i was concerned about the noise in true salesperson fashion i was told it probably wasnt screwed on as tight as it should be due to being a floor model. Or because it was being used so often because it was a floor model. Well which is it? Loose screws or does it squeak after use? A mattress is good for 10 years. My frame should be also. It has been now a little over a year since I purchased my bedroom set and mattress from Ashley Furniture and while I can say we had great help from the manager (the only positive aspect in doing business with Ashley's) I just can't see myself ever going back to buy furniture from Ashley's again. With the first delivery we received someone else's mattress. The 3 subsequent mattresses delivered were all defective and in less than 2 weeks they were all sagging in the middle, all inspected by a tech sent by Ashley's. The most recent tech that came out said our brand new box spring was broken and that's why the bed made so much noise and didn't hold up well. I had to wait weeks before the new box spring arrived. 2 very thin panels that are supposed to hold up the box spring, mattress and me. Tech came to fix that...as soon as my boyfriend sat on the bed, the panels fell through again, broken in half. After THOUSANDS of dollars spent on what is supposed to be "quality" furniture, I will have to go to Home Depot and dish out more of my money to fix something Ashley's can't seem to accomplish in multiple visits over the year. Not only is this a waste of time for everyone, I haven't had a good night's sleep in over a year. I wake up sore with back pain and migraines almost every night I sleep on my bed. We bought a TV stand and a couch a few weeks ago. They both were delivered yesterday on 12/22/21. When the delivery men entered our house, they seemingly broke a part of the large tv stand but did not inform us that they did. After assembling the tv stand, the delivery men hastily told us that the tv stand legs were weak and told us to sign the papers. As soon as they left, our family immediately noticed that a leg of the table was broken off and left there. Dumbfounded, our family inspected the tv stand further to discover the doors do not close. We called customer service right away and did not get any clarification in regards to how we could exchange our order. We called again 24 hours later. Multiple times. Each time the customer service representatives rudely cut us off or placed us on hold for several minutes without clarification on why.
