I was so excited to go to this store. This is the first store in Illinois. The store has a variety of things. They have snacks, stationery items, collectible toys, makeup, haircare, houseware, and etc. It is similar to Daiso but more expensive with higher-end Japanese items. They also sell Korean skincare items. They have claw machines for people to play. The store is big and clean. Everything on the shelves were very neat and well stocked. The employees were nice. The checkout was quick and no line. It wasn't busy when we were there. We were there on a Saturday night, three hours before they closed. There is a big parking lot. There are also reward points to collect. I will be back for sure, and hopefully they will open the Naperville location soon, since it is closer than this location for us. read more

Wow, what an experience! I heard fun things about the store and decided to come by. It was super packed with teenage kids playing the claw machines and the parking lot was packed but overall a fun experience. When you walk in you're greeted with rows of blind boxes of various kinds. I ended up getting a sunny angel to open, which was kinda fun. The best part of the snack aisles. Endless options of chips, candies and drinks to try. My only grief is the cost of everything. You can go to Daiso, or an Asian Market in the area to get some of the snacks for a fraction of the price. I will say that their home and beauty section is superior. I saw folks stocking up on skincare and I certainly need to spend more time there next time. The staff were super friendly and willing to help. They also checked in to make sure we didn't need anything during our shopping experience. Overall we had a great time and would venture back to find new interesting snacks to try. read more

so much fun here! the obvious comparison would be to daiso except a lot more expensive. The store is huge and you will definitely spend a lot of time enjoying all the different options of stuff you thought you didn't need. they have a ton of hair care and makeup products i haven't seen in the US and was also a little annoyed that i lugged some of the products all the way from japan only to have Tesolife carry the item now lol. my kid definitely i felt loved all the blind boxes and toy options. they have a great selection of candies, gummies and chocolate. and of course claw machines! this will be a great place for christmas shopping! read more

This is the Target of k-beauty, with a very large selection of all the best brands. The prices may be slightly high but the shopping experience is very pleasant, with clean testers for everything and you get a tote bag for your purchases! read more

I literally felt like I was somewhere in Asia when shopping at this store. They have the biggest selection of food, toys, and housegoods that I've ever seen. I am so happy I found this place. I was able to get all the blind boxes I wanted at reasonable prices. They even have discounts on some days of the week for certain brands. I love the shopping bag they give us. Overall the experience was great. The store is way bigger than it looks on the outside. I can't wait to go back!! read more

Super cute, new Asian department store in the area! They literally have everything in here from toys to skin care to food to houseware. The store is massive! Despite its extremely large size, it is very inviting and the workers are very welcoming. They also have the super cool toy machines in the back where you can try to win prizes by grabbing the toy out with the claw. This is a great addition for the area. read more

My son was yelled by a male associate yesterday in this Nile store just because he asked to use the bathroom from the cashier counter, then one female associate lead him to use the staff bathroom. When my son just finished using it, someone knocked on his door and so he walked out, then the male associate (about 20s-30s with beard) yelled at him and said " don't come back again!!", my son was shocked and didn't talk back at that moment, but he was so upset and told me this incident when we reached home. It's a very unpleasant experience to shop in this store, not just the pricy product, the whole crews there need to retrain and learn how to offer adequate customer services to the people. read more

This is a Japanese/Korean store. It's like a combination of Mitsuwa and Daiso but smaller. I don't really see the comparisons to Joong Boo or H Mart because those are actual grocery stores. Teso Life has a small grocery section like a the size of Aldi. They have a large section dedicated to health and beauty. Then, they have smaller sections for snacks, kitchenware, miscellaneous household items, auto, and pets. They have a good size section for toys and claw machines. I did not try the claw machines. Parking is easy, it's a big shared lot. Employees are very nice. I know people suggested a food court which is unnecessary. Niles is already saturated with different ethnic restaurants and beverage places. Prices range from moderate to pricey. read more

I am SO excited that this place finally opened!! It's huge and such an incredible selection of collectibles, snacks, cosmetics, skin/hair care, and even home goods. So perfect for someone (like me) who loves Asian beauty products but wants to test them in a store/shop locally. Honestly I felt that the prices are completely fair when considering things like import taxes and tariffs- in many cases they were at the same price or cheaper than somewhere like Amazon. Oh teso life, teso life, teso life. My fiance and I were here three weeks after it opened and my gosh! It was packed! I knew that this place would be huge but I didn't know it would be huge huge!! It was clean and there were people bustling everywhere but it was, dare I say, organized chaos. Everything was organized quaintly from makeup, groceries, toys, snacks and stationary. It was bright and clean. The cashiers were kind and I ended up leaving as a happy girl with an abundance of hi chews, yakisoba noodles and the propitious mango ice cream. Prices are bit steep depending on what you get and I highly suggest having an instant translator on hand so that you know what you are buying since a lot of the items aren't in English. Other than that, this place is fun and I look forward to coming back! read more

Newly opened Teso Life. Everyone was looking at the blind boxes and the building sets (did not see Labubus but I don't care about them anyway). The claw machines were out of order (all of them). Still, a nice selection of drinks, housewares, snacks, candy, makeup, stationery and toiletries. More toys and makeup than Daiso, but does not claim to be a dollar store like Daiso. Definitely on the pricier side. Yeah, I'm all about the Teso Life. I spent a good thirty to forty minutes looking around the store and about 15-30 minutes to check out. My husband and I absolutely LOVE Teso Life. We went to Japan this past July/August and truly thought we would never see certain products again unless we went back to Japan. We were truly blown away by the availability and items the store has! It was so exciting and also so much fun to walk around the entire store! Am so glad that there's now a Teso Life here in Niles! The store is absolutely huge. A great selection of blindboxes, including Pop Mart items. Large selection of Korean and Japanese beauty and skincare products, including higher end stuff. There's tons of groceries and food options as well so you can spend so much time here. Prices are a bit mixed, some things are on the higher end. However I'm glad to see that there is a local place that sells a lot of favorite items from Japan and Korea nearby. The kids had a lot of fun walking around here. The claw machines weren't working when we came in, but I'm guessing it's because it was the grand opening day. We came during the afternoon and the line was moving quickly for checkout, the store never felt overly crowded either. Parking is pretty easy as well, so getting in and out will be convenient when you want to just grab something quickly. read more

Today was my first time shopping here. I came here looking for a back rubber for when I'm in the shower and I found one. It had a wooden handle and was priced very inexpensively, at $3.30 (tax included). The store was very clean, well lit and the shelves were well stocked. The aisles were free of clutter and no fallen items on the floor (Walmart should learn a lesson from this store). The staff was polite and very helpful...Five stars.. read more

I was there over the weekend and bought some flavored Oreo, I wasn't looking at the expiration dates. To my surprise they were all expired after I got home with them. They were expired from 5/25 and 3/25, not sure if I want to go back. It's too far for me to travel, just to return some cookies. Buyer beware of what you buy from them, check the expiration dates. i love everything about this store! i dont have to go to popmart to get my blindboxes & i dont have to go the Hmart to get my snacks!

my most favorite store in the world! they have cute designer toys like Pop Mart but they're not ridiculously overpriced like them. they have mochi, ice cream, candy and snacks, all asian. the makeup is the only thing over priced like it is at Mitsuwa Market but that's to be expected, everything else is at a great price. they have claw game machines too. only thing they're missing is a ramen restaurant, bubble tea shop or sushi like Mitsuwa hehe jk. can't wait to blow my next paycheck here on blind boxes lol i feel like a kid again read more
