I don't know what year she's living in but I know several Jewish people living there. When I stopped in with my little one they had a bunch of Halloween-themed items and home decor. There's also some cosmetic/skin care stuff that they carry, though home decor items seemed to be their biggest focus. It doesn't seem like a shop I'd be interested in purchasing from, but they have a good variety of stuff. It's somehow connected to Edie Boutique next door, since it's a shared space and I'm not sure that Marigold has its own entrance.

Their boutique is highly priced for profit and I totally get it - we all have to make a living. For example, they sell Geometry brand towels for $2 more than I've seen them anywhere else. They also had a 30% off Christmas items sale so I decided to purchase an ornament that said Park Ridge in that Rae Dunn style. It didn't have a price tag but I figured heck, why not support small business! Service was a bit of a miss that day and the lady let me know that because those ornaments are sold all year, they weren't included in the sale. I still bought it hopeful to support local and could not believe my total was $26. Full of regret, I'll hang it every year and share the story with grandkids to come LOL. Also, service was a bit of a miss as mentioned because the other associate looked at me asking if I was ready to purchase, even though she wasn't prepared to ring me up. I've visited twice and service and I've still purchased during both visits. It's not a store that stands out imo and I won't frequent again unless a friend insists. The Edie boutique next door has never greeted me and sells $90 sweaters so I'm pretty sure they're related. But don't let me stop you! Check it out for yourself and decide how much you want to support local.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Steinhafels (Schaumburg/Norridge locations)…read more I purchased two chairs on a Sunday from Schaumburg store and scheduled delivery for the following Wednesday. On Monday, the very next day, I decided to cancel after finding a better option. I made multiple attempts to cancel beforehand -- I called the store, was redirected to customer service, spoke to Bill, who told me he was off today and was told I had to speak to my salesperson, who I couldn't reach as well. Since I couldn't get help over the phone, I drove to the Norridge store in person (closer to me). At that point, I was told it was "too late" because the chairs were already on a delivery truck -- nearly 48 hours before the scheduled delivery. I was also told I would be charged a $100 delivery fee for items I never received. Customer service representative named Nate (no last name given) was completely unhelpful and inflexible, repeating policy without any effort to resolve the situation or acknowledge the circumstances. Was very dismissive and didn't acknowledge the situation at all. After over an hour of frustration -- including calling my bank to initiate a dispute -- the manager in training (forgot his name) in the Norridge store was finally able to cancel the order without the fee. This proves the situation could have been handled properly from the start. After over an hour of frustration -- including calling my financing provider to initiate a dispute -- an assistant manager in the store was able to fully cancel the order without penalty. This review would have been one star, but I'm giving an extra star solely because of that effort, even though they still agreed with the policy itself. The lack of communication, rigid policies, and unwillingness to assist customers is unacceptable. I will not be shopping here again and would strongly caution others before making a purchase.
