Don't try to get help if you purchase a product and it arrives damaged or not delivered as agreed. We have been dealing with them for almost 2 months and nothing has been resolved. The unprofessionalism on the phone is ridiculous. I could hear the call center persons' children in the background and hear the TV like it was on her desk...and I could barely hear her. After being on hold for 30 minutes, she had transferred me to another person without even telling me. I had to tell my story all over again to another person that had no idea what she was doing. If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars I WOULD!!! Furniture is beautiful, my sales associate was great (Thanks Oliver) however, they CANNOT get a deliver right! 1. They gave me a scheduled delivery date and time, I called to confirm a few days before and they CONFIRMED. I take the day off from work to be home for delivery. All of a sudden I get a text message that my delivery is postponed for 3 days. I call and they simply say "oh well someone should have called to tell you" .... 2. Anyways, I give them another chance, things happen I get it. So, I take another half day from work to be home for my scheduled delivery window of 1:45-5:45 pm. I'm at work and get a phone call from the delivery driver at 8 AM... "hello I am here with your delivery" I informed them that my window was later in which he responded that they last minute had to put my furniture on his truck. AGAIN, no one informed me. So I asked if he would wait no more than 10 minutes I would leave work right then and there. He said he couldn't and left. 3. Again, no help with customer service so I had to schedule my delivery for a week and a half later... here it is for this coming Sunday ... I get a call at 5:01 pm telling me I must call back by 5:30 ok to confirm. I call right back and I am put on hold for 15mins so I hang up to to call again still put on hold. I call one last time and it's past 5:30 so they are closed. 3. I call again today to be put on hold so finally I have to go into the store to make sure it is confirmed. At the store I am told it will not be on the truck because I did not confirm in time... THEN I am told they don't have all of the furniture so they can't deliver... WAIT... why would you call to confirm if you don't even have my furniture.. and NOW they said they have all my furniture except a couch and they don't even know if they'll ever get that in stock again.... so WHEN WERE THEY PLANNING TO TELL ME THIS?!! I've been without furniture in my home almost a month now because of them. On top of that... their supervisor refuses to talk to me because she is in her office and that is her personal time. We purchase a sectional three years ago from Ashley. We are not rough on our furniture, have no small children, but after three short years the fabric is coming apart, has completely worn down in places and is piling and ripping. The cushions are completey indented and warped. The extended warranty they sold us is absolutely useless, as the vendor says that all of that is considered every day wear and tear. If the sectional was ten years old, I can see where they could claim that, but it looks absolutely horrible after only three years of use. Horrible experience, we went to look for patio decorations and plant related items. Took us show us "something" in the back, we thought it was more patio related items, immediately saw mattresses and i knew they wanted to sell us a mattress, they desperately wanted us to lay down and i said no, not to mention we were waiting on a price for a frame we wanted to buy, only to make us walk back and forth, anyway at the end the item was sold. So I basically would have been paying over $1,300 for a mended couch. Nope. Refused delivery. Replacement couch rescheduled delivery- TWICE. Today , I'm told it will be another 3-4 weeks before either can happen. The experience went well until I requested a refund for a reclining sofa that I no longer needed for an apartment move. The furniture item was paid full in cash, yet the associates claimed they did not have enough petty cash to refund the purchase (a furniture store with no large bills on hand? Ok). It has been 34 days since the query to refund. Supposedly, the check went to a home store and not the outlet which caused a delay and reroute (somebody pocketed the check). I had to contact people several times weeks a part to no avail because no one followed up with me when they said they would. My wife and I bought a mattress at this Ashley location. They have a large selection of mattresses, beds, tables, and tons of nice furniture - the prices are also good. They seem to have a "Car Dealership" model, where our sales associate kept referring to potential deals "up to 40% off the sticker price" but he would have to "get the manager approval". The delivery experience was horrible: the first delivery was scheduled between 3 and 7 PM. As we were 1.5 hours away for work, we made the trip and waited for the mattress. At around 5 PM, I called and Ashley confirmed the mattress would be delivered by 7 PM. At 8:30 PM we gave up and drove away... We called Ashley support and after they "talked to dispatch", they apologized and we re-scheduled for one week later, also between 3 and 7 PM. And then at 9:30 PM, when we are a good 60 miles away, we get a call that the truck is at our house! The next week our adventures with Ashley deliveries continued, when we get a call and the truck shows up at 8 AM! (remember we had re-scheduled and told to be there between 3 and 7 PM). We eventually got our mattress, but it was painful. The Ashley delivery department has no respect for your time or ours. Ashley, be more like Tesla and less like GM, Ford, or Toyota: be transparent and allow folks to order online. Also someone needs to clean up your delivery department, it's a mess. Do itand your reviews and business will improve. Update: after using the mattress, we really like it! We went back to the store today and were told that it will be ready by end of June. No one called us to give us an update on our order. I purchased not one but TWO complete bedroom sets in NOVEMBER. We are now in mid March and I still do not have my furniture. Initially when I ordered I was informed that my entire set was in stock except for the foot drawers for my king bed. We are getting our house painted professionally and decided to set our delivery date for one month out to ensure we have sufficient time to donate our old furniture, get new carpets installed, and our house painted. ETA for the furniture approaches and no furniture. I contact the store and get informed that is on backorder!! Month after month it's the same issue! Do not bank on any bogus delivery dates they promise as it keeps getting pushed back! I decided to do a partial delivery since I felt like they kept giving my furniture away and waiting for the entire order to arrive kept getting prolonged. Day of delivery and the furniture arrives damaged. I purchased the protection plan and they send out a tech to do "repairs" on brand new furniture that is not even fixed despite him already visiting. He apologized that there is nothing he can do to fix the drill holes that were made incorrectly. (I will update with pics. My daughter's mattress arrived rolled up. The delivery driver informed me that it needed time to open up. Looking back tonight I see that it's not even the mattress I paid for! I want to update my review to 4 stars! When you finally get your appointment, the process was seamless. I made an appointment for pick up at 10am but changed it to 1 on a weekday. I actually came early and drove up to the guard station who confirmed my name was on a list for pick up (mind you I'm early but it's a weekday) then told me to proceed to door 2, back up and drive in. I backed up. Seconds later a guy comes out with a mask on and asks me for my name, identification, and order #. After verifying, same guy put my order in the back of my truck. Afterwards, He comes to my truck window and I sign on a pad with my fingernail (like Fed ex) that I got my order and I'm off....driving home. So easy and contactless. I never got out of my truck. Awesome! By the way, my chairs are beautiful and we're easy to assemble. I'm super impressed! I know other reviews from people are bad but I am super satisfied. Thank you Ashley Furniture for making the pick up stress free and basically giving me exactly what I ordered lol! Purchased chairs on a Sunday and was told they were available and to call the appointment line to schedule an appointment to pick up. I'm confused on why I couldn't just take them home. It's Tuesday and no one answers the phone. The phone will just ring and ring ring. Second option to schedule an appointment is via email. I have sent two emails now to request an appointment to pick up dining room chairs that are paid for and have received no response. I had a horrible experience with this store. 1. I went to the store and ordered a rug. Within 2 hrs i called and canceled since it was small. The person told me that they raised a cancellation request. While ordering they mentioned the delivery date as 2 weeks. However, the canceled items arrived in 2 days. I called the store and mentioned that the canceled item is delivered. They told me that its already canceled and that they will get back to me soon. Within 2 days i got a call from the store and they said the item is delivered. I mentioned its delivered and after that only i called. They told me to return the items and then only i get my refund. I canceled this item within 2 hrs of ordering and still, they delivered it home and told me to return it. I drove 30 min and returned the item. 2. With the above item, I purchased 2 more items and in the invoice, they mentioned the delivery date as 2 weeks. However, 2 weeks passed and i called to check the status and came to know that one of the rug will be delivered in Nov. i.e 2 months late. This was not told to me while purchasing. I told them to cancel since i cant wait for that long. The person told me that it takes 2 business cycle to refund the amount. i.e 25 days to get the refund or go to the store and swipe the card. This is strange that it takes 25 days to refund. Please be aware of this. While selling the item they didn't tell that the item takes 2 months to delivery. read more

This is my second purchase from Ashley and likely my last. Originally I purchased two night stands. That went reasonably well as I picked it up from the store. In August I returned shopping for living room furniture. I bought a set of living room tables with a planned delivery of September 3rd. When I called to confirm, the customer service rep could not locate any order from me. I went to the store and contacted the salesperson I dealt with. He said they had the wrong phone number and couldn't reach me so they cancelled my order. Funny thing is they email me about every other day but they claim they didn't have my email. Apologies were made, they even reduced the price to get my business back. Delivery scheduled for Monday September 20th. Confirmed 3 different times via email. Time window finally given on Friday. Unfortunately a medical emergency came up so to avoid rescheduling i actually hired someone to wait for the delivery at my residence. At approximately 4:15 pm I received a call from a woman who claimed to be from Ashley but was calling on a personal cell phone. She indicated that the delivery driver was running a little late so my delivery would arrive about 8:00 pm. Based on this, I paid for someone to receive the delivery for nothing. So 8:00 pm comes and goes. I tried calling the store and even the cell phone that had called me...no answer. At 10:10 pm I get another call from the cell phone telling me I will have to reschedule...when I pressed, I was learning the delivery driver had abs his route with 4 deliveries to go. So at 4 pm when I was told it would be delayed about an hour, they already knew that the driver had quit so they lied to me. I told the woman on the phone I wanted to hear from the delivery Manager first thing this morning to which she said "I'll put it in my notes" she then disconnected the call. Although I have dealt with so many furniture salesmen throughout my furniture shopping experience over so many years, I must, however, say that I was really impressed by the unprecedented customer service and support from Mr. Kenneth Wislon at Ashley Furniture in Lathrop, California and his service really stood out. Mr. Wilson was very professional, courteous, and patient with us. Not only did he spend over 2 hours, but he also had a lot of humor, and made our shopping experience enjoyable. My wife is an interior designer and detail oriented, so she is usually very picky when it comes to choosing home furniture. However, I was very impressed with Mr. Wilson's helpfulness, dedication, and commitment. He took extra time to discuss all product details, which revealed his extensive knowledge and passion to deal with people. Although we had an issue with the product delivered, Kenneth followed up on our complain, and made sure that his service did not end with the sale, but he really went on to make sure that our concerns were addressed and the issue was resolved. Paula tried to scam us. We visited the site to look for a dresser and it was great at first. Nice service and selections. When we finally settled on a dresser, Paula told me we had to pay for the 5 year warranty. We asked twice just to make sure it was really required and she insisted that there was no way around it. So we went on the Ashley Furniture website and noticed we could unselect the five year warranty. When we told Paula this information, she just brushed it off like she didn't just lie to us. This is a review for the online store. BEWARE!! Descriptions and photos are deceptive. We ordered two recliners that were described in detail as faux leather. The pictures even looked like they were faux leather, shiny when they were delivered I said to the delivery guy that these don't feel like leather or faux leather he just smiled and said they look good And left we call ed Ashley immediately that day they were delivered and the first person we talk to said "oh yeah I will come back and pick them up at no charge so sorry that they're wrong " Send us pictures and someone will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours we sent the pictures the next day and never heard anything when we did call again to inquire he said oh our warehouse is so busy please give someone a few more days to call you back and get this situated. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, three days went by again And still no email, no phone call, nothing . We called again they just keep on telling us 24-48 hours that was June 22. My husband and I bought brand new furniture from Ashley's in June for our entire apartment. Purchasing from here was easy, the manager even offered us free delivery. We thought we had such a great deal but doing business with Ashley has been one of the worst experiences for us. They took our money very easily but when our products were delivered they were brought to us damaged with various defects and scratches. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Buy from Overstock, Wayfair, etc. My wife and I ordered a living room set to pick up on a Friday (that was the day THEY told us). I called and scheduled the time slot for pickup and 1 of 3 pieces was not going to be ready, but we were having a party Saturday and figured not having the ottoman wasn't a big deal. Still inconvenient as we live an hour away... I then tried to get ahold of customer pickup for an entire day unsuccessfully. Finally got through to customer service who told me I had a pickup appointment on Monday. Showed up Monday and was told I'd have to wait an hour and a half or come back the next day (again, hour away). Very frustrating as they had the piece, they just wouldn't pull it. I would give no stars, but had to give one to post. If you are looking to buy furniture go ANYWHERE but, Ashley Furniture. They are liars and will say ANYTHING to make a sale. We went in June to order a new table and outdoor set from the Lathrop Ashley Furniture store in Lathrop, CA. We tried to look around at their selection but, the salesman was up our ass the whole time. We couldn't look at anything without him jumping on us to order it. He went on and on about us buying something to help him pay for college. We found something we kinda liked and told Safi our salesman we needed it within a week. He said it wouldn't be an issue. Prior to placing the order with the manager Derrick we again made sure it would be there by next weekend. He assured us it would be. We went home to measure the patio and came back to order, Safi had gone home. We placed the order with another salesman, Johnathan who also assured us it would be here the following weekend. We changed our address for delivery with the manager, Derrick, Safi, Johnathan and the accounting clerk and they still didn't get it corrected. This is where the customer service fails, right after the sale. We called in to change the address and spoke with Cierra and she was AWFUL ! She got nasty with my husband and hung up on him. We called back and spoke with her manager, Jessie who did nothing but make excuses for her. He said she was nasty because she hadn't eaten, other customers had been nasty to her and she was stressed out or something. We decided to call back and cancel the order all together. He explains to us this has happened a lot to him because of Ciera and how she treats customers. We then get a call from Safi upset that we were supposed to be his sale as he greeted us at the door, but we booked it with Johnathan cause he was not there. They are now fighting over the sale. We addressed the issues with the manger, Derrick and he gives us his personal cell telling us to call anytime with issues so we don't cancel our order. We continue to have issues with the salesman and the customer service rep, Ciera. We called Derrick on Sat to assist with continued issues and incorrect address info and he gets pissed because we called him on Sat while out at the park with his family ! Wr called corporate and let them know of all the issues and demand to cancel the order. They advise us not to cancel and they will open a case to address the Jessie / Ciera situation and address the sales issues as well. They will have a manager call us from corporate. The call from a manager NEVER comes. Our Corp case # C28501. It is now August and our stuff is STILL not here ! We have called the store and corporate offices daily no one will cancel the order or give us info on delivery. Ashley Furniture is a joke ! They sell furniture they know is not available, will lie to their customers to make a sale and don't care about their customers after the sale. My house is full of Ashley Furniture, but I promise this will be my LAST purchase with them. It is just not worth the hassle. Ashley Furniture is not the company it used to be. It is AWFUL now. Customer service was good and sofas were delivered fine, too. We had delivery smoothly. We realized that one of the sofa was defect. I called Ashley furniture and made an appointment with them and they came a week after the furnitures are delivered. They took a look a sofa and it was defect. I thought they will just exchange new one since ours is new too, but they told me they have to repair it first. Ok I understood. Another week later, I took a another day off from work and waited repair ppl. They said they did repair sofa but they did not repair completely what we mentioned and they agreed to repair. They had to repair 3 places. I asked them don't they have any paper work to review before they come to my house what to repair? She said she has so many clients and she didn't go over what to do exactly for my sofa. And also she checked her phone and said she doesn't see any memo where they were supposed to do. There are 3 things to repair but they repaired only 2. She said she remembered we discussed but no notes. So... my point is why repair person (3 people came) didn't let us know where and what they are going to do before they start their job? I was so disappointed about the way she talked to me. I am the customer and I received defect sofa. I took 2nd day off from work. They delivered a chair to us 3 places to repair.... I guess no inspection was done before then shipped. I have been shopping at Ashley's for years. I was in dire need of a kitchen table. Finally, I thought I found the perfect table at Ashley's in Lathrop. Until I encounter the store manager Jeff . I asked him about a particular table , and possibly some mattresses. His exact response was " he doesn't really have time he has been called some where else". I asked him what specials if any were being offered today; because based on my past experiences with Ashley's I have always purchased a lot and received great deals. " Jeff's direct response was I could go and take my money else where ". when I informed him of his lack of professionalism. "He replied your entitled to your opinion and gave me the compliant form number with a happy face drawn on it. He proceed to repeat is name was Jeff". Moving forward I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate. I would say zero stars for Lathrop Ashley's Furniture store take your money else where like Jeff suggested. read more
