Figured it would be fun for the babes to find & buy her own stuff so armed with a fistful of dollars I timed it to arrive an hour before closing because everything she see's she wants. This is a warning for you to not waste your time going on a Saturday when everything is $0.25. The babes insisted on looking in every available bin and ended up with 2 items for $0.50. I found it annoying that they had a store filled with items that were blocked off. Spoke to the one & only staff person at the register and learned those items are for next Tuesday and the few bins up front filled with literally garbage as in open containers of food, empty boxes and used wrapping material was all that was left from the previous Tuesday. After that experience I may try it again on a Tuesday or Wednesday but most of the stuff blocked off didn't look worth a return.

When I lived in Florida, several people told me about Costco, but I never even visited. Here, I decided to try it. When I first walked into the store to go to the Membership Desk, it was already a circus. I asked about a walkthrough and got "We don't do that any more." I reluctantly bought the membership and after one year, did not renew. It must have been a mutual agreement because they were sending notices to former tenants at my address, but not to me. 11 years later, I went with some neighbors. The store is better. It's not nearly as chaotic. The neighbors know most everyone working at the store from the store manager to the people demonstrating the food. It's not awful and it's not great, either. The store has a more diverse selection of foods. However, they seem to take away items randomly. The electronics seem as mediocre as they used to be. The self-checkouts are back. Prices are as high as expected to support returns AND to support good pay for workers. I'm glad for all who enjoy it.

It might not be there next week. I remember finding some Korean ramen/ramyun that I didn't even see in the Korean stores and the price was less than the Korean stores normally had for such a pack. Then, it was suddenly gone. I checked every store from Tracy to San Jose and didn't find it. They have a great aisle with vegetarian and vegan items. They have a good selection of meats and cheeses. Occasionally, I find drinks that I couldn't find elsewhere and then, they're gone the next time I visit. The Asian section is a little bare. Many stores fill in the section with the Americanized Asian stuff and sadly, I order online for many things, especially boxed Japanese tofu. The frozen section has loads of good stuff and I wish I had a car so that I could load up. The healthcare aisle often has things I would find at Target. Staff is always friendly and efficient.

And it's an older building but don't let that discourage you from shopping here. Always pleasant customer service at this location. Grocery Outlet has really stepped up it's organic/healthy food section. Amazing wine selection and I just noticed an impressive liquor section at the front of the registers. Also coming through with some bougie cheeses. Grocery Outlet has all the staples and lots of items you didn't know you needed. Amazing savings overall, these prices can't be beat! My 2 G.O. rules are as follows: 1. Check expiration dates. Not an issue for me if my cereal expired yesterday, but in dairy land, I'm conscious of dates. 2. If you find something you love, buy multiples, it may not be stocked next time.

Items vary from kids toys, arts & crafts, car supplies, fishing supplies, organization, makeup, decor, exclusive snacks and drinks, etc. I love how everything is in Yen, but they have signs all over every aisle/section that convert the ¥ to USD! So you're never not knowing what you pay. They also have a "if your item doesn't have a price it's $2" rule, which I thought was awesome! We were greeted by one worker that was stocking upon walking in, once it was time to check out nobody was there, so I looked around and seen 3 woman working, but just talking and said I could self checkout.. But I'm hella old or at least I feel like it, so when I turned around and seen the self checkout... Thankfully the same girl who greeted me upon walking in, checked me out. So that was appreciated! They had my UCC Milk Coffee that I wanted. This store was no different. Being in Stockton, I was surprised that It was available. When I arrived someone greeted me and we talked for a bit. She showed me where a few things were. The last time I shopped at Daiso, everything was $1.50. Now, they're up to $2.25 and some items are more. Most things are Japanese designs made in China. They always seem to be of good quality, and that's what matters to me. I found my drinks and some curry packets for the person who lent me their car. I found a tablet that will help me work on my writing with a brush that I haven't done for years. I even bought something that I am using for a napkin holder. It came to an amazing total and kept me from spending all of my money. I had many other stores to visit.
