Everything is displayed quite well and spread out, making it easy to browse through each of the aisles to see what they have. Prices are fair and in line with the online retail market. They also offer disc resurfacing and console repairs as well! The store also specializes in trading card games like Pokemon and Magic. When I stopped by to explore the store, I met some really nice staff and customers. It felt like a great spot to shop or just hang out with friends who share the same hobbies. They got a little bit of everything and also host weekly card tournaments too! Warmly greeted as I walked in, I was informed that the shop was under new ownership and to ask if I needed any help. I asked if they had any dollar boxes and was told where they were. Dollar boxes sorted by team, what could be better? Time flew by and I actually came back after my appointment to continue looking. Ended up buying over 100 cards! Lots of graded cards, vintage, and unopened boxes. They also had a large collection of signed memorabilia, Star Wars figures, Matchbox cars, and Starting Lineups. Store is still in the process of being "set-up", but it has plenty of inventory already out to keep you occupied. Prices were on par with most other shops I've visited. The store looked well organized for the most part and they did not seem to be understaffed in any way. There were many employees around, but not one of them greeted us or even looked at us as we passed them. I even went into the picture frame area because I had a photo print that I was thinking about having matted and framed, but the gentleman behind the counter was laser focused on his computer screen, he did not even bother to look up. I looked around at the merchandise in this area for a bit longer and then proceeded to browse other areas, where we also encountered more employees who were too busy (not helping others) to look in our direction or acknowledge us. The planner that I came for was no where to be found even though the online information told me that it was in stock at this location(it even told us which aisle). I did not bother to approach any of the employees to ask for anything because they all seemed pretty unapproachable, and the opposite of friendly or ready to assist. I found a different planner that I felt would suffice. My daughter found a bunch of yarn skeins that she liked for a crochet project, and then we made our way to check out. The woman who was checking us out sarcastically and abruptly stated "Ya got a planner, now your life's gonna be perfectly organized" as she scanned it and placed it in a bag. She was bitter about something, and that was obvious, but why would she bring that to work? I awkwardly attempted to laugh, my daughter pinched me, and then I just thanked her and we left. We should have spent at least double what we spent, but nobody wanted to help us spend our money. It's too bad. I don't know why, but it seems that this Michaels has a dark cloud over it or something, because the folks who work here absolutely hate their jobs and it really shows.
