If I could leave zero stars I would for Ashley Furniture. Not only for the store but also the customer service we have received. We bought a couch and light fixture from this location from August of 2016 and we have had nothing but horrible service all around. When we arrived at the store we talked to the sales representative J.R. since we were going to do the layaway program due to our house being under construction til late September. Our only concern at the time was making sure we got our couch when we moved in to make sure we had something to sit on. J.R. assured us that it would be there on the delivery date we chose. Fast forward a couple weeks and the customer service people tell us our couch is on back order for two weeks and that J.R. our sales guy split up our order of our sectional couch and light fixture so he could charge us three different delivery fees. The customer service got rid of the extra delivery fees. If we would have only canceled then! After sitting on the floor for two weeks they finally delivered our couch and light fixture, but however we were still missing a part of the sectional. The delivery people told us that the extra part was on back order for another two weeks. Again we should of returned it right then and there. For our next delivery nightmare, we were on vacation so we had my parents stay at the house waiting for the delivery. They told us and confirmed that the delivery would be between 12pm-3:30pm. However, on vacation we get a call at 6am from the delivery people saying they were at our house and no one was answering. We told them that our time was scheduled later in the afternoon and the delivery drivers tell us that they may have to drop it off another day since we weren't there even though they showed up 6 hours early. Throughout the day we tried multiple times to get a hold of the delivery person since my parents were waiting at the house and each time he rejected our calls and sent us to voicemail. We then had to call customer service where they had to call them to see what was happening. After wasting two hours of us on vacation calling multiple people they finally delivered the final piece of our couch at 7pm. During a deep cleaning when we had to move the couch, we noticed that the frame on the couch under the arm rest was broken. Upon further inspection the spot in which the frame was broken could not have possibly been broken by us. The spot where it is broken is a spot that no one sits in since its not in front of the TV. We called customer service and they sent a repair tech out for the following week. When the repair tech showed up he took a couple pictures and we explained to him that it was broken when they delivered it he told us he didn't believe us because we did not report it to them within three days from the point of delivery. He then continued to tell us we would need to go through the 3rd party warranty service to see if they would fix it. On the Ashley furniture website it does clearly state the frame is covered under a lifetime warranty. Mind you we did buy the extended warranty for an additional $400 dollars. As soon as the tech left we called the customer service line again explaining the situation to a manager who told us that the repair tech should have approved the fix since it was a frame. She told us they would be out within the next 3 days to pick it up so they can take it to the shop and fix it. The first time they came to pick the couch up the delivery drivers told us that we were scheduled for a delivery, not a pick up so they couldn't take the couch. We called customer service again were they again set up a pick up date. Second time for delivery date they said the exact same thing! So week two of the broken couch we decided to call the store manager saying he gets us a new piece within two day or we want a refund. The manager was able to confirm for a new couch set to exchange on Wednesday 1/11/17 and of course on 1/11 we get a call saying that our date was once again pushed out to 1/13/17. We yet again called customer service and they said they could do nothing more since they are already doing everything they can. So we have been waiting three weeks for Ashley Furniture to fix our couch, will still no avail or solutions in sight. read more

I purchased a new bedroom set and paid for the dresser and mirror and one night stand in full. The king size bed and a second night stand were placed on credit. The salesman Lee Dobbins set up a pick up date for me. He aldo stated I could pick up the set at the warehouse and save $125.00 dollars. This was scheduled for the following weekend. The following day I received a call from Lee. He stated that the set was discontinued. He asked me to come by and take a look at the floor mode. I returned the following day to overlook the floor model. I didn't see any damage to the set at all. He stated that the set would be ready to be picked up the following day. So the following day the set was picked up. While putting the bedroom set together. I noticed that the footboard was damaged. I called Monday morning and that is when the runaround started. I called for a month straight and no call was returned. I filed a claim with the BBB. After I reached out to Ashley Furniture and the corporate office of Ashley Furniture. I received a call from the president office at Ashley Furniture. I explained the situation and my concerns of being sold a brand new set one day. Then the following day I was contacted to say it was discontinued. I explained that the footboard was damaged. I asked if they could replace the footboard or refund the total cost of the set. I was offered a $60.00 discount and take the bed as is. Or allow them yo try to fix the footboard and pay full retail price. I of course declined the offers and expressed my anger. Why should I pay full price for something that was damaged by Ashley Furniture staff. I requested to pay the difference for the second night stand. This was also a challenge with Ashley Furniture. Reason being that they wanted to keep my down payment which was in the amount of $167.00. After many calls and refusing to give in. They agreed to let me pay the difference of the night stand. I also put down $267.00 towards the bed alone. While I was trying to get things in order with Ashley Furniture. I never heard back about the first request I asked. Which was a full refund of what I had already paid. So I could go elsewhere with my business. This is bad business and they used a false selling approach. Selling me a brand new bedroom set. Then to turn around and claimed it was discontinued. Then damaged prior to a scheduled pick up. read more

Terrible experience, where do I begin. Was in store for about 2 hours. Already knew what we wanted. The salesperson kept making mistakes with order. Then she forgot a chair and had to do a separate order for one chair to a 7 piece dining set. Was scheduled for delivery on Oct 14. They showed up with one chair. Asked where rest of set was and the bedroom set. They said that is all they had. I called customer service said would be another week to bring out rest, delivery person took the one chair back. I talked to a supervisor she said she would try to have delivered within 2 days, They showed up the next day would out calling first. They brought the rest of the dining room set except the chair they took back. One of the chairs was cracked and the dressers corner was scratched. I called customer care they told me would have to call the store. Called the store they told me to call customer care and find out when chair would be delivered. Told them that chair and dresser was damaged, so they told me to send pics in which I did. I called back and asked to speak with Manager she would not talk to me only would relay message to someone else. They ended up sending the missing chair, after several calls. They were supposed to have someone come and look at chair today but never showed up. I called customer care again asked for supervisor, and lady named Amanda in escalation who said she was supervisor was very rude and unprofessional, she hung up on me when I asked to talk to her supervisor. She kept talking over me when was trying to explain the situation. Called back talked to another lady she said everything is noted and that someone would be out next week. The warranty says if you are not happy or if damage they will replace. But was told by them that a tech will come out & fix. I believe that it is unfixable to a satisfactory condition. I will never buy from them again. NO ONE CARES about customer service there. The only positive thing was the delivery people. They were professional and courteous. No one ever calls you back, you just keep calling with no answers. Once they get your money, they don't care!!! read more

Save your money and go buy somewhere else like rooms to go down the street! Every single member of this store will lie to your face just to make a sale. We went into the store looking for a couch and bed. To start off nothing is ever in stock or available. After hours of looking and seeing if any couches were in stock nothing was but this one couch that was 4K. The sales man or should I say lier DERECK sold us this couch with the promises that it could be exchanged at any moment if we were unhappy with it or if it didn't fit our home. I asked him how is that possible and he told us that it was there exchange policy! ALL LIES! He knocked 2k off the price and we were shocked that we got such a discount but at that point we were exhausted and the deal seemed good and we needed a couch even though the couch was not what we wanted but nothing else was available and the fact that we could bring it back if we hated it was a win win for us. THIS WAS ALL A LIE! First of all the couch has sunk in a week after purchase, the material stains easily and the couch has lost all shape. Went to the store and the salesman's acted like he never said that then comes back and says oh I did say that and we'll exchange it for you. Then manager comes around and says yea I've never heard of this exchange program and that once it touches the home they can't take it back and we even picked the couch up from the warehouse ourselves as delivery wasn't an option. No one knows what's happening in this store, everyone lies to each other just to make a sale and the no one ever takes responsibility for their lies. we even got the protection plan which nothing seems to be covered under. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a furniture store. IF YOU WANT A CAR SALESMAN EXPERIENCE GO HERE! WORST STORE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, save your self and go somewhere else. The WORST customer service I've ever dealt with. First delivery attempt, a no show, no communication. When I finally got a hold of someone, they said the couch either didn't fit on the truck, or put them over weight. Aside from wondering why I wouldn't get a call when they knew they weren't delivering it, I asked if this meant I was the first delivery the following day, but found out I have to get at the end of the line and it would be delivered in 2 weeks. Asked for a supervisor, which of course they are incapable of forwarding to, so was assured I'd get a call back that day. No call. Called the next day, was disconnected once, hung up on another, and another assurance I'd receive a call that day. No call. Called again, escalated, guaranteed 2 hour response time...no call. Called a few more times, more empty promises. Finally delivered, but damaged - was told a technician would call within 2 days to set up appt to fix...no call...called them, was told I'd receive a call same day...no call...tried 4 other times over the next week, same deal...can't connect me anyone to discuss, schedule a callback...no call. Over 10 hours of my time calling...disconnected 50% of the time. Was actually scalded by one person for being upset about all this. "Our technicians are from a 3rd party, we can't escalate, can only e-mail to ask them to contact you". Unbelievable. No compensation, company doesn't care at all, wife and I treated like garbage from the moment we left the store. NEVER AGAIN. Wish I would have read reviews prior to purchasing. 1 Star is far to generous. read more

I'm reading through the reviews and mad at myself for not writing one after our experience at the Austin Ashley's!! Our experience could not have been better! Our sales man was Javier Rodriguez, he was so helpful and very professional! We had to purchase furniture for our son's apartment and had not expected to be furniture shopping because his apartment was supposed to be furnished! Everyone that we came in contact with was professional and friendly, the ladies at the desk, the barista-yes they have a barista! and the two men that delivered and set up the furniture- which, by the way, they delivered it when they said they would and they were in contact with us throughout the day to let us know when exactly they would be there! The experience was so positive that my son is still in need of a couch and a few other items - and he's going back tomorrow to look for one. When I was shopping online today I noticed some of the reviews and it made me unhappy to see that only people that were not pleased with something had written a review- I'm sure that there a lot of people out there, like us that were very satisfied with their experience and because we were so pleased didn't take the time to write! So I am taking the time now to say Kudos to Ashleys in Austin Texas and thank you to Javier for helping us and for being so professional! Come on people- let's let people know when they do something right too! read more

I filled two homes as well as an apartment with furniture from Ashley furniture over the years and needed to purchase some items for my daughter and just bought her first house. Upon arriving quick to greet me was an associate by the name of Richard Naranjo. Richard proved to be not only friendly but extremely knowledgeable and although I made him aware up front that I might just be gathering information and making the purchase online he was still more than willing to spend over an hour with me looking at different options for my daughter and then patiently waiting while I went back and forth with her over the phone. In the end I needed to go home for the night and come back the following day. Something every salesman hates to hear. The following day I came back in and purchased a living room set my daughter wanted and arranged for it to be delivered to them in San Antonio. In prior years I've often shopped an Ashley store and then made the purchase of the pieces online but this time I found doing business with Richard extremely easy and Ashley has finally adopted a policy allowing them to price match which is something they didn't do in the previous years. If you have a furniture need I highly recommend you visit the Ashley Furniture store in Southpark Meadows and I highly recommend Richard Naranjo. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We bought a table at Ashley in Aug/2019. After a few days, we had an issue, where the table presented 2 small peeled circles in the finishing, over the top. As we had the Protection Plan, we call them, and 1 week later it's been "solved". We were caught by surprise when saw that pealed area, and the technician told us that the table's finishing was not that resistant and recommended us to put a glass over the table to protect it. After a few days after the repair, the problem happened again, because - of course - the solution was to paint the peeled areas. We contacted the Protection Plan again, and at this time they claimed it's a manufacturer issue!! The same issue now is being considered differently?! Finally, we tried to reach out to the Ashley Store Customer Service, as well as the unit in Long Beach/CA several times, to ask for a refund, or at least exchange for another product, but nothing. After months, when we finally got a response, they said couldn't do anything else. We are extremely cautious people, we do not have children, neither receive people at home, that's why our concern why the product has damaged so easily without barely using it. Unfortunately, I'll never buy at this store anymore, high prices, medium quality, horrible customer support. read more

Our sales associate, Randy from Dallas was in town (Charleston SC) for a huge sales event. He was amazing! In fact, Carol (store manager) and the Sales event Manager (not sure of his name, from NJ) were all so incredible and so very patient! Randy worked with us for well over two hours listening to my husband's exact needs for a sofa and loveseat. We had to be very particular because of his medical issues due to migraines. He walked and shared full details of dimensions, fabric resilience and everything else we needed to know in making the perfect decision. They gave us space when my husband and I needed to walk and look and discuss our purchase on our own. It was after hours when we finally decided to make the purchase. Again, they were all so patient with us and showed outstanding customer service. When it came time to crunching the numbers, Randy and the event manager were again incredible. What was originally going to be 2 items (power loveseat and sofa) for the amount of money I was planning to spend, ended up becoming 4 (including an adjustable bed and coffee table) for only an additional hundred dollars more. I can not say enough positive things about my entire experience. I will look to them again in the future for further furniture needs!!!! Thank you all!!! read more

I will NEVER NEVER EVER purchase anything from Ashley Home Store again! I had heard from a co worker that she had problems getting her furniture after she purchased it and I thought it was just an isolated incident.... Well Apparently Not. My siblings and I purchased a new living room set for our parents for Christmas. We bought the furniture November 15th so it would be here in plenty of time for Christmas. We have already donated their old furniture since the new was supposed to be delivered on December 6th to which we only received the sofa. Now after multiple failed deliveries due to "out of stock" excuses, we are a week away from my parents hosting Christmas and only a couch to sit on for their guests. We are so frustrated that we have asked them just to come pick up their stinking couch and we will just find another set at another company to which we were told "we don't take returns" so now we are stuck! But don't worry Ashley's I will have no problem explaining to their 20 or so guests what type of service you provide. And thank you Ashley's for ruining our gift to our 83 year old parents and adding stress to the happiest time of the year! YOU FLIPPING STINK!!!! read more

I went to Ashley's furniture to get a sectional for my living room The experience went smooth up until delivery they delivered my sectional and set it up in my living room and then left and the ottoman that came with the sectional did not work with the room it was too big so I called them the next day And told them that I wanted to return the Ottoman and they told me that I could not return the Ottoman because of covid now you would think that if a customer is spending thousands of dollars on an item that is something that they would tell you while you're purchasing it that there are no returns like they're normally would be so I then call their customer service and the customer service tells me that that's not something that they've heard of so I call back to the store again and they tell me the same thing so I then go into the store to talk to a manager and they tell me the same thing so I'm stuck with a 400 and some dollar ottoman that doesn't work with my room. We're over a year into covid here They don't require masks in the store but are going to use that as an excuse to not take back this ottoman. I was planning on buying a whole bedroom set from them. not now. read more

Ashley Furniture is WITHOUT A DOUBT the worst furniture company I have ever experienced! We purchased in full (no financing) a couch and a bed frame from them in March 2015 set to be delivered in July 2015. We get a call 5 days before the delivery explaining to us that only the couch will ready to be delivered and the bed will be at some TBD further date. I called and spoke to the supervisor who was wondering why I (the customer) was allowed to choose my delivery date and the next available ship date for the bed frame was the 23rd of July. WE JUST CALLED to confirm the delivery and they said because we didn't answer a phone call from them at 10:30 this morning that our ship date is bumped back ANOTHER WEEK. Not only did they not leave a voicemail BUT they didn't call the secondary number listed on our order. NEVER EVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. They take your money and trap you so you can't return your items for anything besides store credit while they take their sweet time putting together your order. WORST POLICIES. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER WILL I EVER be ordering anything from this company ever again. read more

BEWARE! Ashley Home Store in South Park Meadows is the worst example of a business I have ever dealt with in Austin. They are a sham on all levels. The salesperson Ryan is man without integrity or backbone. Deceitful, dishonest and simply sketchy. Joe the manager is just as bad since he is the one who establishes the low standards. Delivery is a nightmare. Despite thier '14 day return policy', if you do not like the furniture you buy, you will not be able to return it without grief and threats from the salespeople. Everyone is conditioned and trained to manipulate each phone call so the customer does not have the ability to return items or recieve basic customer care. The story of my own families experience is too detailed and painful to write here. Just know, this store and the people who work here will undermine you if they can. It is like being on crazy pills. You can call and get confirmation from one customer service person, and then a day later each one will deny having ever talked with you. Please do yourself and your family a favor, stay away from this store. You will regret the experience. read more

My kids asked me for new beds for Christmas, I went to Ashley to buy their beds and a bedroom set for me and my wife as well. The furniture was all scratched. As of today we are all still sleeping in the floor. They had delivered the furniture 3 times, every time they bring it is in worst condition. Seems like they tried to fix it in the warehouse thinking that customers are dumb and won't check the furniture. And for the delivery guy's reaction, seems like this is a common situation for Ashley Furniture. For worst, after many calls to their customer service department, the warehouse, and store manager, i decided to go personally to the store to show the pictures of the scratched and broken furniture and they wanted me to pay for the mattresses. I couldn't believe it. Don't get fooled by this people. Don't let them intimidate you. We are in America! You can't be obligated to pay for a merchandise that is not in condition. When I told them about the review in the better business bureau, they agreed to come and pick up the pieces of furniture they brought. This store is a shame. read more

On 11/29/2018 my wife phoned the South Park Medows Store to inquire about the stock position of a recliner that she had seen on their web site. Javier Rodriguez said he would check to see if they had any stock of the item.He confirmed that they had a single unit at the store that we could look at ,and so we went to the store. Javier helped us through the whole procedure of choosing the model ,and color that we wanted. He advised us that we would receive a phone call before the delivery due on the 12/26/2018. An e-mail arrived on the 12/24/2018 ,and also a phone call confirming delivery on the 26th. 10am our recliners arrived on the 26th. This has been a shortened version of the transaction , but I cannot compliment Javier enough for the professionalism he showed on behalf of Ashley Homestore in the purchase of the items. Also , hats off to the excellent delivery men who delivered the recliners on a day pouring down with rain without getting the items wet. On my own personal experience with this company , I would certainly recommend them to any prospective buyer. read more

My husband and I purchased an entire family room setting including a sofa, 2 love seats (all with electrical recliners, cup holders, USB ports, etc), coffee table, 2 end tables and a TV console from the Main Place Mall location in Santa Ana. We shopped around so many places and were so tired and frustrated with all the salesmen. We felt like a guppy in a shark tank whenever we walked in. But, when we met Sam at Ashley's, he was very relaxed and so knowledgeable and helped us find exactly what we were looking for so quickly for such an amazing price. I highly recommend Sam. He made this such a pleasurable experience! The furniture was delivered within a few days. The delivery guys were so nice and they set everything up so nicely. I'm really impressed with the quality. We've had everything for about a month now and absolutely love it! I only have 2 problems. 1) The sofa recliners are so comfortable that I keep falling asleep in them. 2) I can't decide which room I'm going to do next. One thing is for sure. I'm going back to Sam! read more

My wife and I worked with JR Stewart and we couldn't have been more satisfied with our whole experience. We just moved into our new home and had been all over town trying to buy new furniture but every where we went, brushed us off due to not having inventory which meant they weren't going to make a sale. Things were way different when we walked into Ashley's and was approached by JR. He informed of us about everything the store had to offer and was straight forward with us, which is something I can respect. Before we knew it, my wife and I picked out our couches and dinning room table and JR got us all setup with financing. I can honestly say this was the best experience I've had buying furniture, or shopping for that matter lol If you are wanting to buy high quality furniture with reasonable prices, Ashley's Furniture in South Park Meadows, is the place to go and be sure to ask for JR!!! You will definitely be happy with customer service you will get! Thank you JR from the Yates family!! read more

Ashley Furniture sold me a dresser without including a crucial part to put it together. I ordered a bedroom dresser set and when I received the large dresser it was missing the divider for the dresser drawers. I immediately called customer service to discuss a rectification to this problem. They say they could sent me out the part in 7-10 days, I called back on day 8 to check on the status of this part, they told me they couldn't give me a date on this back ordered part. So I said it may be tomorrow or 5 months from now, she replied yes. I am appalled at the lack of concern. An easy fix would be to sent out a new dresser with all its parts and have me send back the dresser with missing parts. I'm completely dumb founded by this situation. It wasn't like I spent $30 it was $1000. Never ordering from Ashley Furniture or doing any business with them ever again. After all this calling, Ashley did the right thing and are sending me out a replacement. Changed my mind on the negative feedback read more

My fiancé and I have been searching for the perfect sectional for the past several months to no avail. We were out for a drive and spotted the Ashley HomeStore and decided to stop in. The store itself is gorgeous and everywhere you look there is a beautiful display. We were greeted by Lee Fox - he asked us if we were looking for anything in particular and then pointed us in the right direction. He did not make us feel pressured - which we appreciated very much. Nobody likes a pushy salesman. When we found not one but two sectionals that we liked, Lee gave us information about each one, checked inventory and let us arrive at our decision on our own. He helped us get a great deal on top of the Presidents Day sale and our new sectional will be delivered in one week. We appreciated the beautiful showroom, the no pressure sales approach, knowledge of product and ease of purchase. Thank you Lee and Ashley HomeStore! I highly recommend this location for all of your furniture needs! read more
