New Heights coffee shop is fabulous, and the antique store next door (albeit pricey) is a cute concept. After parking on the street (Heights life), I was a bit confused entering (which entrance, how many shops, etc was a bit confusing). Over time I found a ceramics shop, a vintage store, a coffee shop and a patio. I love the gift of discovery, but I wish I had a better idea what to expect when coming to shop for a holiday gift. If I'm looking for a ceramics class and a coffee, I'll certainly be back! read more

What a funny name to a coffee shop. Its as if they didn't put much effort in figuring out a name. I suppose it'll always be "new" then, hah! This coffee shop is quite different than most, but still plays off of that hipster modern coffee vibe. I definitely found someone in a beanie with facial hair and thick rimmed glasses. The coffees here are no joke. Quite the eclectic array of choices to make on coffees as they're really into groundbreaking drinks that is coffee centric. I got a coffee that had basil and lime nitro? Interesting and yet it works! Couple of downsides tho, seating is super limited and thiings seemed to be pretty close together. So if you're there to do some work, its not gonna be comfortable and goodluck trying to find a plug. Their parking is also very limited since its shared with a clothing retail spot. Overall a good visit. With its interesting takes on coffee, we'll probably drop by again. read more

I love the name of the coffee shop here, New Heights Coffee Roasters. They're definitely keeping their name fresh! This coffee shop is super eclectic. Located next to a boutique and a pottery studio, this place exudes cozy vibes. There's a decent amount of space to sit and work if you're staying to drink your coffee and I'm loving the number of outlets they have! Their drinks are also more than just your typical coffee shop, with seasonal drinks that have their own twist, or even a cold foam to add to the creaminess of it. I loved how peaceful and welcoming the space was. It's quiet without feeling empty, and the couches and seating areas make it easy to settle in for a few hours. I ordered a lavender honey latte (as a coffee newcomer), and it was really good. Comforting, flavorful, and not too sweet. The boutique area was my favorite part. I ended up doing a little window shopping and was impressed by the quality of the handcrafted pieces. The fabrics were sturdy, the designs were thoughtful, and the pricing made more sense once you saw the craftsmanship up close. Whether you're stopping in for a plant, new fragrance, oils, or just want a change of scenery from your usual WFH setup, this is a spot worth checking out. Absolutely loved the cafe here! They also have a shop connected to it which is super cute. The cafe itself is called New Heights Coffee Roasters. A friend and I came to do some work and we had a lovely experience. The WiFi was great and steady for us to work from here. The barista recommended some super delicious drinks and we also had a yummy empanada and loaf. The aesthetic and ambience of this place is super cute and casual. People seem to come here to work or just hang out with others. They have a decent amount of seating inside and an additional outside patio. They also have mugs, totes, and other coffee merch items for sale at the cafe. Will absolutely be coming back to try more. read more

A cute coffeeshop great to get work done and enjoy some coffee & pastries. Stopped by to meet up with some friends while we wfh, and I'm glad I was introduced to this coffee shop! It is located just a few minutes off of I-10, it is easy to get to. The parking lot is a bit small, so chances are you will need to look for street parking nearby. Inside, there is a bar on one side where you can sit by windows. By the entrance are two large tables which seat 4 people each and a plethora of outlets. Behind the center which houses the baristas and coffee equipment, there are several cozy nooks and chairs. I have heard there is an outdoor patio if you go out through the doors at the very back as well although I did not get a chance to see this myself. I ordered a peppermint tea, which came out hot and tasty. The baristas steep the tea for you, which I appreciate because I never know how long to leave the tea bag in. It came out with the perfect amount of flavor in my opinion. Next door is a clothing store selling high end/vintage women's clothes and a pottery studio. This place has great vibes for work, chatting, or just a drink or snack. read more

The first time I came here was to drop off a roll of film, and I was blown away by how cute it was and made a note to myself to give it a visit again one day. And the day has finally come. I went on a Friday in the afternoon to get some work done with friends. It was pretty crowded, but my friend who came before got us a table. Lots of big windows and seating options. Absolutely loved how accessible outlets were. This is a must for wfh days! It can be a little loud inside, so I had to hop outside to take some calls. But there are also a few outdoor tables. And just an FYI - if you have the TooGoodToGo app, they have Roasted Coffee Bags here for a discounted price! We also explored the other businesses in this building, and there is a cute vintage clothing shop next door. Parking may be limited, but there's plenty of street parking in the neighborhood right next to it. A great experience overall, and I will definitely be back. read more

Came for coffee but the inside is so charming! Absolute cutest interior with a mini market, work area, and wine bar lounge. If you like Schitts creek this place feels like someone turned Rose Apothecary into reality. They also sell soap, ice cream, apparently some neighborhood folks buy their milk here, as in a grocery store. Some chairs need new cushions Not only is their coffee well baristed, it is not crazy expensive. $3.75 for an Americano. We pulled into this coffee shop which I've had saved for months and completely forgotten why I saved it, but knew that past me had a reason. Upon pulling up outside it's giving a familiar vibe. Going inside it's charming, it's cute, the staff is friendly and inviting, you can't help but want to wander around and explore. It gives off a very Rose Apothecary vibe in the greatest of ways and I want to spend so much time here. There's a coffee sho and general store, a cute bright work space with lots of plants, and a wine bar area. They also had a board with really interesting upcoming events! The products in the general store looked so nice. We got the iced French toast latte and it was pretty ok of a coffee, not a lot of taste or anything to make me think of French toast but ok coffee. This place is a hidden gem! It is a very cute and quiet place to study (yes they have WiFi and outlets, check and check!). It has a parking lot and street parking available.The concept of the place is very interesting with a small market connected to a store. I didn't have any of the food, which looked good, but my friend had a sausage roll which he liked. He got the chai and I got an iced Americano, very happy with both drinks. The baristas are so nice and friendly, and frequently checked in to make sure we were taken care of/liked our drinks. I'm definitely coming back! read more

This is an amazing concept. My boyfriend and I are both jealous someone else thought of it first and also so happy this concept has been able to exist and succeed in a city like Houston. Came because i was in the area and im glad i did! The inside of this building ls so pretty and has a cozy vibe to it. Theres a few places for seating aswell incase you wanted to get work done. The menu is pretty big for a cafe so there's something for everyone. I ordered a matcha latte with oatmilk and it was very yummy! For once tbe oatmilk didnt overpower the flavour of the matcha. Went to the Asch Sunday Fall Festival. Super cute shopping and ethical concept store/grocery. There was a wide variety of clothes, housewares, and food for every palate and interest. The downsides: *no parking -be prepared to park in the neighborhood and walk at least a block. *The popup caterer they had - Jane Wild- was rude ( and possibly discriminatory). Witnessed a black male in line ask her what menu item she was currently cooking on the flat top - she was off putting and responded short and dismissive. Then immediately greeted a white male joyfully and started a conversation with him instead ("hey charlie, how are you...") he was in line behind the black male. read more

I've spent plenty of time each visit walking through each shop and discovering sustainable, ethically made home goods and clothing. From the Home shop, I love my soap pouch and reusable makeup removing pads that I got! I love that they carry local premade faves in the Market and make you yummy tea and coffee! read more

This building has it all, it's truly a one stop shop and it's absolutely amazing. A market with organic produce & pantry staples. A little more on the pricy side but you can see how they support small business/lesser known brands which I think is worth it. Their cafe has all the staples, don't come here expecting a frappe like Starbucks. But they have coffee and teas. I got the seasonal drink a strawberry lemonade and it was not overly sweet and syrupy but refreshing! It seems like every corner is mean to amplify small business from flowers, to handmade textiles, and bathroom products, and plants so many plants! They even have a refill station for my sustainable girlys! They take reusable bags and blankets to donate to rescue pets movement There's just so much to this place you have to check it out esp if you want to study. They have monitors available for you to connect your laptop.. like that's insane to me. The ambiance is super calming & plenty of outlets to charge all your study gear. Such a cute little place, we enjoyed exploring the stores. The home area has plants, items for the kitchen, containers etc. In the middle, they have a variety of clothes made of sustainable materials, cute style. On the far left, it's a cute little grocery store with local fruits and vegetables, pantry items, as well as fresh pasta, meat, dairy, drinks, and some prepared healthy food from local suppliers. Enjoyed my time at the Asch building. The market & home goods area had unique products and the boutique had amazing clothing sources from South Africa. I didn't take a ton of pictures because I was focused on taking everything in! Purchased from the market pasta, vodka sauce and fresh bread. In the back of the store there's a nonalcoholic beverage shop called Fuzz. It changed my life! Being that I'm 6 month pregnant it was refreshing to have sparkling and spritz nonalcoholic options! You've got to try the sparkling white tea with ginger and elderberry, OMG! For a Saturday afternoon the parking lot had parking spaces and the place wasn't packed leaving enough room to browse at your leisure. Definitely hope we have options like this coming to Eado/Second Ward very soon! read more

Came here for a Sofar Sounds event in the evening, and it was a great vibe. Super chill, great cold brew, and interesting wares to browse. The baristas were pleasant, and welcoming, and took the time to explain the selections (it can be a bit overwhelming). I would love to chill in the back area and sip some coffee on a cool day. Might do that today actually. Only knock is the parking, it's basically all street parking, which is a bit of a pain. Good thing is that the street just south of the store is a long neighborhood street. Feel bad for the people that live around there and have to deal with that everyday. read more

This place has one of the best honey lavender lattes I've had! The flavor profile is very earthy and I could there there was little to no artificial taste or flavoring added. It's also a unique concept with different stores combined into one indoor marketplace. I love how they sell food/groceries, clothing, and home goods that are all ethically sourced and supports the local community. Also very very cute and definitely has a hipster aesthetic inside which I am a big fan of. One of my favorite places to get coffee or just walk around and chill. One of my favorite places to visit in the heights. I love coming to Asch, the building is so peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. Grab one of their great coffees and head to the clothing section that the store hand makes themselves, everything is simple and perfect for htx weather. The little shopping carts are a bonus to keep my toddler busy. The associate that was assisting me, Hunter is an absolute gem of Asch!
