Literally the rudest employees ever. I walked in and they didn't even look up to greet anyone coming in. Just kept their personal conversations going . Never once even looked in any customers direction or asked if anyone needed assistance or acknowledged anyone even came in. Went across the street to their other location and same thing. read more

The Emerson Rose Home + Gift store (across the street from the clothing store) is my go-to place for gift-giving! I always find something cute, unique, and high quality. It's a hit every time, whether it's birthday, holiday, bridal, or baby. read more

This place is so cute! Staff is so sweet! They sell Baggu and I love Baggu. Feels overpriced but is probably fair.

Friendly service, nice place to shop for variety of unique gifts. A little pricey but worth it.

I was outside shopping. It was inviting the staff happy to help. There is a wide range of women's clothing from rock wear to Texan gear Ann assortment of top hocks for your home . The standout is the staff. You will overspend. You can't find this just anywhere. A good choice on a read more

Emerson Rose - JW blanket-came with a cute bag and some Buddha girl bracelets ! - Women's Clothing Near Me - Houston, Texas

Cute story with friendly staff. Nothing here that I personally would buy, but they were on the 19th st Sip and Stroll list so I dropped in to give them a look. Some of my friends were quite interested in a lot of the gift-y products. read more

Emerson Rose - Ghostbusters hanging out at the store! - Women's Clothing Near Me - Houston, Texas

Clothes are cute here, but customer service is not. I went this past Sunday and the two employees never greeted me, asked if I needed assistance , grabbed the handheld of dresses I was holding to put in the dressing room or check on me while in the dressing room. They were just standing by the cashier wrap not looking too busy. Shopping in a boutique you definitely expect good customer service and they are lacking. Maybe it was because it was 5pm and the girls were over the day. Either way it's not an excuse. read more

A great boutique for women's clothing and accessories - plus gift ideas for friends!

I felt like one of the shop girls followed me to the sale section and pretended to dig through clothes because she thought I was stealing. I had two items in my hand and I guess that meant I was going to walk out of the door with them. It was actually quite obvious that she was watching me. Not a great feeling at all. I don't think I'll be going to this location anymore. read more

Thank you Carrie! I was wanting to buy a dress that didn't have my size at the 19th st location, she texted their Montrose store to grab my size and hold the dress there till I arrived. I ended up getting another dress than I thought but very thankful she let me know of the other store and allowed me to have the choice of going to try on the dress in my size. read more

Great little store, lots of great finds and helpful staff. Will be great for unique Christmas gifts.

I LOVE this boutique! I have been here several times and rarely walk out empty handed. They have a great selection of clothes and a pretty decent selection of accessories. What I like about this place is they have so many choices to represent Texas, Houston, and the Heights in particular. They have fun things like cactus pens or southern-themed candles. They also have a good sized sale section if you're feeling thrifty. It can be easy to get yourself into trouble when it comes to the clothes because this store offers both brand name clothes, like Free People, and bargain buys - and they're not sectioned off. Buyer beware. What I really love about this place though is the staff. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful, but no overbearing. They want you to shop at your own pace, so they don't hover - a hard find in the retail world. If you're looking for unique gifts for out of town friends, I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Very cute clothes, but the customer service completely ruined the experience. No one greeted me and my friends or asked if we needed any help the entire time. The staff was very selective with who they acknowledged and who they did not. This one other customer walked in after us and told everyone hello and no one acknowledged him neither. Shortly after, this other customer walked in and was greeted very kindly. Seeing that this is a small business you would expect a very homey and warm environment. Unfortunately that was not the reality today. I really hope that in the future these types of concerns are taken more seriously so that everyone has a pleasant shopping experience. I would really hate for people to feel like they are a burden when word of mouth is so significant for small businesses to thrive. read more

I've shopped here now for a few years for gifts and each time, I receive zero customer service. I don't even get a "thank you" while checking out. The staff isn't friendly and not welcoming. There are better shops to shop at and I won't be giving them my business anymore read more

Emerson Rose is such a charming, more contemporary addition to the heights shops and I am so happy I stumbled upon it! From unique jewelry, to beaded clutches, to rifle paper co products, this store is just about as cute as it's owner Bonnie - she's a doll!! I love that she's always willing to share the backstory of a lot of the products she has in her store and offer her advice on what looks good. I'm usually a sucker for statement necklaces and I've picked up a few great ones for about $10 - $20.... WAY more reasonably priced than a lot of other Houston boutiques! Next time your taking a 19th street stroll stop in to treat yourself to some great stuff! You won't regret it :) read more

I was less than 24 hours from a trip to Nola for my best friend's birthday & was stressed about having nothing to wear for the theme of the birthday party. I popped into Emerson Rose for the first time only a little before closing time & PEYTON WAS MY HERO! She was so sweet & jumped into action to help me find everything that could match the birthday theme even though they were closing soon. She was an angel & did a great job! I bought multiple outfits & will definitely be coming back to see sweet Peyton & shop soon! I'm officially an Emerson Rose fan now :) read more

I made a purchase at the Montrose location and came to return at Heights. Both instances I had wonderful customer service especially at the Heights location. Ashley (Heights) was WONDERFUL and helped me out in any way she could. Will be coming back specifically because of her. Thank you! read more

Emerson Rose has the cutest clothes. Carla went above and beyond to help my mom and me. I will for sure be back.

Everything in here is very pretty. A lot of it is for very young people many things are very short. They carry brands I like such as Ivy Jane and Johnny Was. This means most things are very expensive. They do have good sales sometimes. They have some cute, affordable accessories and I got a fantastic leather coozie with my university logo cross stitched on. If I could afford it, I would shop there all the time. Shop local! read more

My favorite boutique in Houston. I love the wide variety of gifts for any occasion but also the collection of clothes that range from pretty affordable to splurge-worthy. The jewelry selection is noteworthy with its vast collection of designer pieces but also no-name trendy items that put the finishing touch on an outfit. I bought a gold stacking ring these over a year ago that I wear to this day. I like how they cater to a few different types of styles, all current, yet whether you are looking for something classic, going out wear, or a nice dress for a semi-dressy occasion, they have it all. read more

Can't decide which location I like better, this one or the Montrose. This one feels smaller than the other location but I always find more stuff in my size in this location , regardless Emerson rose is one of my fav spots to go for gifts and to get stuff to wear for the holidays. I'm obsessed with their T-shirt's and candles read more

the girls who work there are PRECIOUS they were so kind and helpful. super cute stuff in the store and good vibes.

By far my favorite boutique in Houston. The place to go for that last second gift or date outfit. My favorite part is how the shop girls make you feel like a VIP and always offer something to sip on while you flip through all the pretties. Go now!! read more

Great clothing and accessories on one of my favorite blocks for shopping! The price points range here; there are some very affordable items as well as some more specialty items such as embroidered blouses or dresses that are a little higher in price, but great quality. The staff here is always friendly. I enjoy following them on Instagram to see their new items as they come in. 19th street has a lot to offer, so come check it out and make an afternoon of it! read more

Cute and trendy items! I especially love all the Texas themed merch. My one gripe is the shop girl on staff was uninviting to customers in the store and during check out. Small shops like this can only survive if your customer service is excellent. read more

A new addition to the shopping on 19th. I like when I can find things I've never seen in other shops, and it isn't $300. The prices aren't cheap, but the things that can be found inside are hand picked. You can tell the person who owns or shops for the place has a great eye for detail and style. I found some super cute earrings that you can initial each ear whatever you want. Very reasonable, and two gold necklaces that were dainty, but will get a lot of use. They had quite a bit of the denim hippy, hand stitched stuff, which fits the Heights consumer. They had a ton of very stylish jewelry that I would wear. Lots of dresses, shorts, and thoughtful things I would give my girlfriends for gifts. Very friendly helpful staff! Def. worth a stop in! read more

Emerson Rose is my favorite boutique in Houston! It's my go-to for any gift or occasion, with unique jewelry, candles, clothing, shoes, cards, and so much more! Horrible Horrible customer service!!!! I was so excited for their 50% off anniversary sale that ended at 9am. I stood in line for 40 min and then one of the workers came to the line at 9am and said the 50% is over!!! Instead of letting whoever had already been in line get the 50%. My friends and I put all of our merchandise down and left. This is Horrible customer service I will never shop here!!! read more

I am or rather, was, a regular shopper at this little boutique. I don't know if I will every go back. I had been eyeing these gorgeous black leather wedge booties for weeks and finally tried them on. They fit well. I asked the owner, who had a pair herself, if they were comfortable. She said an affirmative yes and since she had never steered me wrong before, I bought them. I wore them less than an hour on carpet and they destroyed my feet to the point that I had to go barefoot for a day. I never hurt so bad in my entire life. I had bruising on my feet! So I went back in and explained to them what happened and wanted to see if I could at least exchange. The sales clerk and a women who identified herself as the shop owners mother said the shop owner was not in, but it looked like to her I had just chosen them wrong that it was my fault and I had ill-fitted the shoes myself. I guess I was just shocked. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store. She informed me that they would not exchange and was extremely curt with me. I followed up with their Facebook page and received no response. I am giving them 1 star because at least they USED to be my favorite store. Not sure what happened. read more

This boutique has cute stuff and carries good brands - Show Me Your Mumu, Minkpink, Wildfox, etc. However, it is NOT worth it to shop here. The "store manager" is shockingly rude. Me and some girlfriends came in here on a Sunday and she didn't acknowledge us, didn't say hello or ask if we needed assistance, and anytime we asked a question about the merchandise she acted very annoyed that we were even speaking to her. And we were in her store buying stuff! We were all in disbelief by how rude she was. It completely ruined the experience of shopping here. Just some advice - don't hire a store manager who acts inconvenienced and annoyed by her customers! read more
