Was recommended by anthem for hearing aid. Was the worst experience ever. According to my insurance I was allowed 3,000 for a hearing aid. But they refused to use my insurance and insisted I pay an additional$1,000 for jus one hearing aid ( I only needed one ear). That means that they would make $4,000 for one hearing aid! Sam the audiologist refused to sell me one within my means and what was legally covered by my insurance. How greedy can you get?! I would never recommend this place and never will I return. And not to mention that the secretary Barbara always keeps the door locked and every time insisted on id just to let you in-very unusual and not very friendly and disturbing. Buyer beware. I've worn hearing aids for 15 years, which I acquired from two different providers. I met Sam Moghadam for the first time at Ascent's Huntington Beach Office. He provided an extraordinary level of expertise and care. My hearing loss is congenital, and I was having difficulty understanding normal conversations. My previous hearing devices were not adequate to the task. Sam introduced me to some amazing new technology, Starkey Livio AI 2400. I could not be happier. My previous hearing aids are of high quality, but they can't hold a candle to these. I have complete control through a cell phone app and Bluetooth technology that adjusts to different environments. I hear EVERYTHING now. Amazingly, these devices even translate spoken words between 27 different languages. Text of both languages appears on my cell phone and I hear that translated phrases in English in my hearing aids. A visit with Sam dramatically improved the quality of my daily life. I was getting a custom fit wireless headphone system. I spoke with Barbara who was very nice and helpful. Got my appointment set for the same day! I came to my appointment and was a few minutes early. I met the owner, Sam. He was already for my appointment. I did a painless custom fit with moldings in my ear. Sam was also very nice and accomodating and explained everything that was happening. I was very impressed with the customer service from both Barbara and Sam. Without a doubt, Sam Moghadam is as nice a guy you will meet. Better than that, Sam knows his profession. I have pretty serious hearing loss in both ears. I have received treatment from three different hearing centers and have seen my hearing get worse. I have had three different types of hearing aids prescribed for me and I have had nothing but trouble with all of them. Recently, Workers Comp. directed me to Sam. Sam took the time to explain to me, in depth, my hearing problems. Sam diagnosed my problems right away and prescribed a new set of state of the art hearing aids.
