I have been seeing audiologists for 25 years because of my tinnitus, and my first experience with Dr. Jennifer and Dr. Joselyn last week was truly exceptional. The audiological evaluation was the most thorough I have ever had, and they even measured my tinnitus level -- something no one had done for me before. They recommended a tinnitus masking device, and it has worked wonderfully. It masks the ringing to the point where I can barely notice it, and it has helped me feel much more relaxed and reduced my anxiety. I just called here to get a hearing test for my daughter and the lady I spoke with was so rude. I was very nicely asking her about processes and pricing to which she rudely replied, "are we going to do something here, because I'm busy". Literally the entire phone call was 3 minutes, so it's not like we were having some unreasonably long conversation or anything.‍ Also, at one point in our brief chat, I apparently made the terrible mistake of repeating something she said back to her for clarification, to which she also rudely replied, "I think we just discussed that"... Seriously? As a lifelong resident of Seal Beach, I always try my best to support our local businesses... that's probably why it is so offensive to me when an un-precious few of our local businesses reciprocate with disrespect. read more

My visit with Lori was great as she listened to my story of my ear issue before diving into the several tests. My previous hearing tests didn't go as well but I feel that was due to the technician at the hospital just wanting to hustle me through the appointment as quickly as possible. The thorough testing followed by a few pictures of my ear drums captured everything I was hoping for. I can't thank Lori enough for not rushing through the appointment but triple checking the hearing tests while double checking the photos. Very thankful for Lori and her hearing services. My primary physician referred me to Lori Hallett. After my consult, she said she would get back to me about whether my insurance would cover hearing aids. I never heard back. A couple weeks later, during my virtual appointment with my doctor, I mentioned this and while on Zoom, my doctor got her on the telephone and mentioned this. She said she would get back to me about insurance. Never heard from her. Two strikes for Lori Hallett, as I won't go back or give her my business. I advised my doctor to make him aware because I do not feel he should continue to refer his patients to someone who has zero follow through. A couple of friends said they received better customer service at Costco Hearing Center. Go figure. read more

Lori Hallett was able to help my mother of 53 with her hearing difficulties stemming from a childhood injury where an ear bone could be broken. Lori is kind, explains well, and is extremely professional. I would happily recommend to anyone to see her for their ear needs. Office staff is very pleasant and nice. Unfortunately there seems to be an organization problem. I've made 3 separate appointments and not one went smoothly appointment wise. Made 1 appointment and when I got there, they didn't have me on the books. Second appointment to see the doctor and discrepancy on time of appointment. Was tested, was told Doctor didn't need to see me and needed to come back to be fitted and decide what aid would work for me. What was strange was I was to come back and see the same young lady who tested me and that could not be done while I was there. Came back the 3rd time and there was an appointment discrepancy again and was told the doctor wasn't going to be in till the afternoon. 1) I thought I was being fitted by the young lady who tested me, 2) I do not make afternoon appointments unless there is no other choice as I still work and that would be an scheduling problem 3) I do not understand why it takes 3 appointments to go through the process. This smells of some insurance billing. read more

Excellent experience - Lori truly cares and it's so refreshing. After a sudden bout of tinnitus she went above and beyond to help with ideas and suggestions after a full hearing test/exam. COVID Procedures were good and office was clean. While I still have tinnitus, it is slightly better and I feel that Lori was much more helpful than my ENT/MD. Highly Recommended! read more

I have been going to lori for three years and I am so grateful to her and her staff! I have been down the hearing aid research road for a while however, I went to lori and she set me up with hearing aids that work for me, everyone is different. So you should try different types to get the one that works best for you. I would recommend making an appointment with lori to get tested, she really knows what she is doing. On Christmas Eve the ear hook on one of my daughter's hearing aids broke. We were 75+ miles away from home and had plans to spend the day in Los Angeles before returning to North San Diego County. On the day after Christmas, my husband called at least 1/2 dozen audiology offices and no one was willing or able to help us. My daughter was beside herself, frustrated and dreading another day without hearing. When my husband reached Lori Hallett she told us to come right over and she was sure she could help us. When we arrived she took us back immediately made the repair on one hearing aid, replaced the tubing and checked out the other HA. Here's the icing on the cake...she decided to take a look in my daughter's ears which happened to be full of wax! She cleaned her ears and sent us on our way. My daughter was thrilled with how great she could hear. It can be a huge ordeal when something goes wrong with hearing aids and it's heart-breaking when something goes wrong with a child's hearing aids. I am so grateful to Lori for helping us out. I am retired. I got Oticon OPN1 hearing aids and a ConnectClip from the VA in early July. Follow-up appointments with the VA are tough to get with limited counseling time so I got an adjustment appointment with audiologist Jane Steckler in Fullerton (OLLI teacher). I paid $250 for 30-40 minutes and felt rushed, didn't learn how to sync with my iPhone or use the ConnectClip microphone as that seemed for another $250 appointment. I found Lori from the Oticon website and my two visits with her have been some of the best healthcare provider experiences I have ever had. She is above all a caring person in addition to being very knowledgeable, professional, and economical. She synced my Oticon hearing aids with my iPhone, explained how to use the app, and showed me how to use the ConnectClip properly. Her knowledge was spot on to adjust my hearing expectations for different hearing environments. I highly recommend her. read more

I went to her clinic and before I see her they want to pay $20 co pament, It is fine. I had a previous copy of my hearing aid prescription, but she like to do one anyway. After that she like to get thru insurance and I waited. I called them and the answer was we are waiting for insurance, next week same answer, and it went on. In the meantime I called my Insurance and they had no pending case for me. It was very bad experience, they were not telling me the truth. Finally I called and told them that I can't wait and have see another audiologist and they said OK. Finally one day I called to get my $20 copay and she wont give it back as she said I did the eam for you,. What it is good for if can make a pair of hearing aid? I told her that I will talk to my son ( who is a lawyer ) about it and OMG she got upset and hang over on me. This is the kind of doctor and service one should expect wit Lori Hallett. read more
