These people are awful human beings. I was frantic when I called them, but PLEASE notice that most of these reviews only have 1-2 reviews per profile. That's not normal for yelp. A few here and there yes, but not this amount. Here's the story: My mother in law was stuck inside her home because she has one of those inside locking locks. It's a special Medeco lock worth $600.00 I called this service and I told them it's a special lock. I specifically gave the brand name to make sure that they know this is special. They said they can do it. Guy came out fiddled with it, tried to pick it so on for 10 minutes calls me and says he needs to drill. I'm telling him it's a 600 lock and I don't want that please leave. I I was nice and courteous..at first. I said it's a specialty lock, I understand if he can't do it. If he wanted to charge me $15.00 at that point I wouldn't care or be upset. It is what it is. But then....what he proceeds to do is continue work. I call the ASAP locksmith I say what's going on they said they'll send me someone else "with more experience". Mind you guy A still continues work! I call ASAP again I tell them you know what forget it I don't want to use your company and then Jesse tells me I must pay $75.00. "He shouldn't have to do work for free" and I said WHAT WORK? She said he opened one lock for me. HAHAHAHA that's a big lie because theres one Medeco lock that's from inside. She can unlock all the other locks they're normal. So what am I being charged for. So I proceed to go off on her and tell her I'm telling you to cancel the service and she says well maybe the more experienced technician can do a better job. But I'm telling her I don't want to use YOUR COMPANY. We go back and forth and she says well you'll still have to pay $75.00. Sounds like she's grinning ear to ear. Its like talking to a wall. Meanwhile I'm getting calls on calls from this guy who still will not leave. I called the technician back and I said I told you to leave why are you still there? He asks me if theres a back door. Are you freaking kidding me? He tells me they're professional lmfao. I threatened to call the police and he said "oh okay what's that going to do? are you going to pay me? I'm not going to leave, you give me 75 and I'll leave"...is that supposed to intimidate me? I felt like I was talking to someone from the old country. Thankfully the guy left as I was on the phone with 911. No joke. I legit was on the phone with 911 telling them this man won't leave and I told their company that I don't want to use their services. And just now I get another call from another technician. They just keep sending them to you! And he said I still need to pay $15.00 for a service call. Its unbelievable what these people will do. Trust me. Don't call them. Now they are bombarding me with calls telling me I have to pay them money for 1 hour worth of work. I had to block their numbers. Scummy people. If you cant do it that's fine. If you wanted me to pay $15.00 for showing up then just say that. But don't tell me I owe you 75 bucks because YOU cant get the job done! My assistant googled "Burbank Locksmith" and found these guys online. Unfortunately she didn't look at the yelp reviews before having them come in for a job. We needed some locks placed on some cabinets in my surgery center. when he got there he told my assistant that it would cost $100 per lock, and we needed 5. I asked him how long it would take per lock and he said "what does that matter." He finally told be it would take about 20 minutes. I then told him that i thought $100 per lock was outrageous. He asked me what i did for a living and i told him a was a surgeon. he then asked me, "How much do you make an hour?" I regrettably engaged him in a debate about the difference between putting someones finger back on and placing a lock. His response was, "So you think you're better then me?" After i told him that we will look for someone else and asked him to leave, he called me an asshole in front of my entire staff and the walk out, damaging a wall. Talk about unprofessional. I had a great experience yesterday with Lucas from ASAP Locksmith. My front door lock had suddenly stopped working. Lucas came promptly to fix it. He called me first to let me know what time he would arrive, then texted me as he got closer to be precise about his arrival. Lucas explained the problem to me and described a couple of solutions. His first option was to attempt a repair which was the less expensive choice. He explained that if the repair wasn't possible, it might require replacement. He was able to quickly and expertly repair the problem. Lucas and his assistant, Avi, were polite and professional. They charged me a very reasonable price. They take advantage of the fact hat you are in a desperate situation and need help. I blame their company's answering service, who quoted a drastically different price than what I paid. This was a horrible experience. I was quoted on the phone that it would be around 50 bucks. The guy was late, called me several time and told me that he couldnt find the address. I repeated over and over again the address. when he got here it turned out to be 100 bucks. By that time I just wanted to get it over with. I work in an office in large building that is shared with apartment,s which houses several senior citizens. My key wouldn't go into the key hole (seemed like someone tampered with it in trying to break in) so I called to get the lock fixed and was told someone would arrive 35 minutes.. Lucas was excellent in communicating with me and arrived sooner than expected! Full credit to ASAP for getting out to our house very quickly - within the hour of having called them. The service rep on the phone was very pleasant as well. In about 30 minutes they had repaired the broken lock and all seems to be well. However, as with any service such as a locksmith or plumber, one never really knows how the final bill is calculated - despite having asked several times upfront. The call out price of $35 seemed fair enough, but, as always, the "labor" was totally subjective and not by the hour. In fairness to them, its impossible to predict just how long any repair will take, however I would have liked to have seen a bit more up front clarity as to how the bill would be calculated. There seemed to be different explanations as to how this was determined. Overall, I would probably consider giving them another try. At the least, they seemed friendly and punctual. read more

Terrible service !! I had a lock with the passcode on it and the battery was dead. The guy was sent to fix it didn't know what he was doing at all he just took everything apart then after an hour he told me he doesn't know how to fix it. then said he won't leave until I pay him. If I could give 5 negative stars I would. This place has poor service and give false quotes to back people into a corner to use their crappy service, which I'm quite sure is the only way they get customers. I lost the key to my Honda Civic and over the phone I was quoted $120.00, I repeated the price back to them 3 times and the man insisted. We set up my appointment... they said they would come to service my car at 7:00PM when they gave my initial quote at 5:00PM. Someone from their call center called me at 6:45PM amd told me someone would be at my house at 7:30PM to 8:00PM. I said fine. They called me to alter the times two more times, telling me that they were 15 minutes away and thus no one ever showed up. So, I reconfirmed the price for fear of the inconsistencies with the time thus far. They have the same person that quoted me $120.00 to call and try to convince me that I heard wrong... ugh no, I didn't. But, I told them, in an irritated tone by now, "just get someone over here I have work in the morning!" They agree to get someone to my house. I get three more follow up calls about this price I "misunderstood", again I tell them "get someone over here! I have work in the morning" and this unprofessional poor excuse for a business hangs up in my face. So, I called them & screamed my head off... they wasted my time waiting because they are unprofessional and misleading liars! Save yourself the headache and go with any other business! I had a front gate latch that wasn't working. The technician was very nice and told me I needed a new lock cylinder. I don't know much about locks so I assumed he was correct. It was over $200. I paid, he swapped the lock, but it didn't lock properly still. I called and he came back and installed a new latch (which would have been much cheaper than the new lock) and the gate locked for about a month and a half before the latch stopped working again. I called to ask them to fix it and they said they only offer a one month warranty (who offers a 1 month warranty??) and when I pressed them they said that the technician who did the work wasn't with them anymore so they would need to send someone else and charge full price. read more

This guy was not having a good or didn't get any last night or something. I asked him what time can he come and make a key for me and I asked him the time and said this evening.
