I don't like giving bad reviews, and I always give people the benefit of the doubt. However, I think people should read my experience before deciding to choose ASAP Locksmiths Los Angeles. https://www.asaplocksmithla.com I feel like I got robbed 200 for a simple door unlock. Over the phone, they quote you $19 for a simple door unlock and up to $200 or so if they have to change locks and etc. This guy they sent quoted $180 right away. When I told him the quote I was given on the phone and politely asked the reasoning/logic behind the pricing, he avoided the question. He said something along the lines of "I say the price and work, I don't fight over.." with offensive body language and facial expressions then just got started. I did not care for the shade and the lack of respect and manners. I'm glad my boyfriend was there or else I wouldn't have felt as safe. He also gave a disclaimer that if he broke something along the way it was going to cost hundreds of dollars more because I had to replace the locks and everything. Excuse me? If he broke something, I am NOT paying him more to fix it. The $180 was already (maybe even more than) the price of having new locks changed anyways! But $500, $400, even $300 was a HELL NO. When I heard this, I just felt all the red flags and was prepared to just pay the $29 drop-by fee and send him back, but he opened the door right away. According to his demand, the 5-7 minutes came out to $199 and then some, but he didn't even bother to ask if we wanted our change while making his super speedy exit. My boyfriend and I were just in awe of the whole situation. I felt robbed and taken advantage of, and it all happened so fast. If you look for it, and despite what the guy on the phone said, you can argue that on their website they say residential lockouts are 75-150. That is very pricey, and there is a huge difference between 75 and 150. Literally double. If I'm getting charged double, I have to know why, and it has to be reasonable. Worst experience ever. Thief! I asked for this guy to give me a quote to replace a lock in my door and without telling me, he took our door completely apart, had all the pieces scattered around. Then tells me it's gonna be $2000.00 to replace the door. I said that is not gonna work and why did you take everything apart. Then tells me it's a $300 service charge, which they never mentioned. Then the worst part, I'm on the phone with his boss and he takes the lock and levers and sneakily hides them in his car. Says we can't have them with out paying the $300.00. I just called the phone number listed on the Yelp to see if the person who answered was the same person who came to our house on Monday evening to get us in. I simply asked "are you the owner or do you work for the company?" He answered that he runs his own business and I say "thank you very much" and hang up. Before posting this review I thought "you know what, let me give him a call back. maybe he's a reasonable guy and we can come to an agreement." Turns out the guy blocked my number within 2 mins of my first call. Why would such a simple Question make this guy block my number? We were quoted $65 over the phone to get our locked picked. When he arrived He had several different tools I would say almost 15. He literally tried every single thing he had brought with him to try to get it open until finally announcing he would need to drill it. He also told us that our lock had nine pins instead of three which is standard. If you are a professional locksmith why are you making excuses and saying how difficult our lock is to pick. Two hours later he finally drilled it open after making so much noise and a huge mess. He said he would clean it up but he just swept the metal shavings to the side even though I clearly brought the vacuum for him. To top it all off he then replaced our nine pin lock with a seven pin lock. Why would you tell me that a three pin lock is standard if a seven pin lock is what you bring to jobs? So a job that was quoted at $65 which seemed reasonable we ended up walking away needing to spend $260 to get back into our house. It legitimately would've been cheaper to break a window and we wouldn't have been sitting out in the cold for over two hours. I am begging you to never use this company, you are better off breaking your window with your shoe than calling this guy. read more

I never write reviews but think potential customers should be warned. I locked the keys to my car inside. I called ASAP gave them the year, make and model of my car and was quoted $60 to have them unlock it. I agreed, however when the technician arrived he stated that it would be $150 due to power windows instead of manual and the need to use a air powered machine to open the door ( B.S.) And to and insult I was asked if I could pay in cash instead of card because their machine was down. Absolutely not!!! Furthermore I'm not paying $150. Me and the technician went back and forth he even offered to do it for $100. I called the office where I got the quote and explained the situation and was put on hold. Immediately the technician started getting and having a conversation via text which I suspect was with the office because after being on hold 10 minutes. She returned to explain because they didn't know the year and make of the car before hand, which by the way is a lie. I asked her to explain why would he be asking me for cash and she stated because their machines is down. I called another company on speaker phone and gave them the exact same details about the car in addition to letting them know it has power windows. Also explained what was told to me by current technician of need for air powered machine to open. I was told the use of the machine is standard and it would be $60 if they came out however it would take about an hour as they are busy. At this point my technician said he would do it for $80. I told him that would be fine but I don't have cash then guess what happened???? He said "oh I have a app (square) on the company cell phone where we can charge your card out in the field, I forgot about that."
