They were able to match the old arches of our 1927 to bring the character into our modern kitchen that we love about our house. They were extremely communicative about any changes, challenges, or delays. We even went on a long vacation during the project and we felt completely at ease knowing they were progressing on the kitchen while we were away. And, very importantly, he did an absolutely gorgeous job. His company is smaller, which means less overhead and, in my experience, very client-focused and driven to excellence. From the beginning Sam was very communicative and throughout the process was available to talk through any questions/ideas/concerns I had. In the end, he stuck close to his initial estimates (the few additional costs had been flagged and discussed with and agreed upon by me before they were incurred), and completed the work well within the initial timeframe. Same business caption: "No Job Too Hard, We Can Do It. At DF Barrueta Drywall & Painting..." We expected honest pay for honest work instead we got honest pay for dishonest work. We asked for both drywall and new baseboards to be glued. We spoke with Christian and he said HE will come out to do the drywall and that ANOTHER GUY will come out to complete the baseboards. This didn't happen. Christian didn't come out to complete the wall. Another man by the name of Martin came out. He did a wonderful job on the drywall. No complaints on half of what we expected. However, he never sent the invoice for the full amount, which he verbally, confirmed was $1,700. We didn't even try to talk down the price. We asked for the invoice on Sunday, the night before, the project was to start. Christian never responded. Monday, Martin came out and started working right away. Did a wonderful job putting up the mud and drywall then he left. Martin provided the receipt for the $200 for supplies ( which Christian conveniently didn't add that it was a separate amount. Still, no invoice.) Martin didn't ask for any of the cash at this time. Tuesday, Martin came out to start on sanding and cleanup. He did a great job. No complaints about the drywall work. I asked Martin to confirm the full amount and he said that it is whatever we agreed to with Christian. Martin wasn't even sure about the payment and I don't think he was even informed about the baseboards. However, Martin didn't complete the baseboards (Christian said another guy would come out for the baseboards. No such man came.) Since they didn't ask for half the price on the first day. I provided the full amount the last day assuming another guy would come to finish up the baseboards since that was what was agreed to. Paid Martin the full amount verbally agreed upon,1,700 for all the work, drywall, baseboard, and supplies. Even though they messed up a portion of our drywall with a ladder scratch (image below). I get a call from Christian asking for the $200 which he said was separate and how he discussed that there would be separate fees for this. Which he didn't express when he said the full amount for everything is $1,700 which we agreed to (DRYWALL, SUPPLIES, and BASEBOARDS). We agreed to supplies as part of the WHOLE AMOUNT. He tried to argue that he already sent the invoice. No invoice in my mailbox, yelp, or via text. He then asked for $100 then he said that I should complete a yelp review and that then he wouldn't ask for the $200. Via text (will post), Christian said he will send the invoice via text (after he tried to assure me that he sent an invoice. No invoice was ever sent ). He didn't send an invoice via text. Then I told him that Martin didn't complete the baseboards/trim. He said the baseboards/trim WEREN'T PART OF THE PRICE. LOOK AT THE PRICE (No invoice was ever sent and the price was only in verbal form, no print out of any kind was given to us at any time). We are willing to provide a better review after Martin completes his end of the agreement. Which means finishing the baseboard/trim work. We expected honest pay for honest work instead we got honest pay for dishonest work. Reply to his comment: He NOW says he recommended someone else to complete the trim and that they would give us a separate quote. This never happened. He said that he and his team can do it all (even his little company info on yelp says, I quote, "No Job Too Hard, We Can Do It"). He said that one of HIS guys would come out and complete it. Also, the $200 for supplies that he asked for (explained above) wasn't the correct amount for the supplies ($116 Before Sales Tax, $128 After Sales Tax). So he was asking for $75 additional dollars for no reason ( receipt from Home depot.) Stop Lying. Also, he said that he needs CERTAIN ITEMS THAT COME FROM SPECIALITY STORES NOT HOME DEPOT. There was only a HOME DEPOT RECEIPT provided by Martin, not Christian, the owner. So stop lying. Fair warning: don't work with these people. Unless you are fine with half the work being completed. After reading his previous business review, he seems to subcontract out his works. He doesn't do any of the work himself. Martin, you did a wonderful job, I hope you get paid well since the previous business review claims that the subcontractor asked to be paid directly because he was afraid Christian wouldn't pay him. Martin thank you for all your hard work but Christian you need to learn to be honest.

The finished result exceeded our expectations -- this outdoor living space has truly been a blessing for our family. Rain or shine, there's not a day we don't use it. We've hosted countless family game nights and gatherings here, and I'm genuinely grateful for this space every single day. I don't usually write reviews, but I'm taking the time because of what happened recently -- more than four years after the project was completed. We noticed a small leak where the deck cover connects to the house, water was dripping from the soffit boards. Naturally, we were stressed about potential water damage and repairs, but when I reached out to Tim, he responded within minutes and sent his team the very next morning! They inspected the area, found a likely source, sealed it and performed the necessary repairs, then advised us to observe it again when the rain returns and call them if further repairs is needed. This experience speaks volumes about the company's integrity and dedication to their customers. Even years later, they stood behind their work without hesitation. Tim's responsiveness throughout the project was amazing, which is rare to find these days. I am a perfectionist and expect the same of Contractors. I found only a few VERY MINOR issues along the way, but Tim and his excellent crew were right on it! Many months after the project had been finished, we requested a minor repair to our siding that was NOT even part of their work. They came up yesterday and fixed it for us! They went above and beyond! Also, we had a request for a unique fold-out shelf for feeding birds (which we make sure is never available to bears!). Tim designed something that works perfectly.
