Didn't see the shop at first when I arrived, and drove around the building twice before I found the elevator/stairs to the second floor. So it is a bit hidden away from view. Looked up alterations and repairs on yelp and called to see if they could work on knits. They said no problem. Brought a somewhat expensive cashmere sweater here that was just starting to unravel right and the front on the collar. I didn't have high hopes of saving the sweater, but thought it was worth a shot. They were like "no problem, piece of cake". When I picked it up I was really impressed with their work. You couldn't even tell that there was ever anything wrong with the sweater or that it was repaired at all. It was perfect and looked brand new. These ladies are amazing! Called them one month before my wedding with some last minute alterations and they got me in. Alterations were perfect; shortened sleeves, added train pinup, sewed the leg slit and chest slit closed, and shortened shoulders so dress fit me perfect. Super friendly and professional staff. Called them on Wednesday 07/03 afternoon to see if they can do emergency alterations for one of my bridesmaids by Friday 07/05. They told us to bring it in, did a sample of how they'd fix it (way better than the last place we asked), and said they'd have it ready by Friday. Knowing there was a holiday the next day, we were worried but they did it, and did it beautifully! Including expedited costs, the total came out to $100 and I'd say it was well worth it. Irina runs this quaint alterations shop on the second floor of the office building in Bothell. She's very calming to talk to, easy to make appointments with, and knows what she's doing. I had her shorten the neck straps on my wedding dress and add a bustle. She gave a quote, I left my dress with her, 2-4 weeks later (I can't remember when I returned), she had it ready as promised. It fit perfectly - I couldn't even tell where you made the adjustments on the top. The bustle was easy to find and do. Highly recommend Irina. Easy to work with. Good price. Don't know why people say the owner is rude. She was so kind to me. I called her in panic because my wedding dress needed last minute alterations as it's in two weeks. She told me to come in. Once I got there she offered to help me get into my gown (it's huge), measured my straps, recommended cups and asked if I needed a bustle for my train. She really did help me. I also think what she charged me was fair considering I needed this done urgently. People are commenting on how much hemming costs. Hemming is expensive anywhere! I recommend her. The owner has the rudest personality. She is passive aggressive and even though she can come off sweet she can also be incredibly rude. She charged me a $15 fitting fee because I couldn't end up doing the alterations with her because she's only open Tues-Thurs 10-6PM (wish her Yelp hours were updated) and I'm at work in Seattle during that time. I'll give it to her that she does do a good job because I have had stuff done by her in the past. But why does she have to be so unpleasant though?! When I told her her Yelp hours were not updated she claimed she has nothing to do with Yelp.... Ok. Just be warned about the type of person you are dealing with and she's not cheap! It's hard to find a decent tailor these days, so I let it slide. But on my third visit, she started yelling at me when I was answering her question about an alteration. Setting: The shop is located on the second floor of an office building. Once you enter, you wouldn't be able to tell because the shop space is really cozy. The customer space is a little tight with two chairs to sit, a changing room, and a pedestal facing a mirror. Plenty of space to move around, but don't bring more than 2 people with you. Value: I think coming here is worth it if you're in a pinch. We brought in a few pants, suit jackets, and my wedding dress. For those items, I think my dress alteration was a little overpriced (~$80) just for a length alteration on 2 layers (tulle and polyester). The jackets and pants were priced at ~$20 for pant length alterations and ~$30 to bring in the suit's waist a little. Service: The turnaround was quick and the job was done, but we will not be returning because of the service we received. The owner was aggressive and borderline hostile. My mom, whose native language is not English, asked a reasonable question about some wrinkling on the suit jacket (after we got it back) and the owner became visibly upset, raised her voice, and repeated her answer aggressively at her until we asked the owner to stop. Other: Overall, the service was quick and decent, but you should expect some resistance if you have any questions about the work that was done. read more

Our daughter is getting married soon and I needed a MOB dress. I finally bought one which was much too long as I am 5' tall. So I started calling alteration stores. We decided on this store because they could do it quickly and their prices were acceptable. When we got there I was surprised as it was like an old fashioned sewing shop. It was a very small place with only 3 chairs, and awards and pictures of her work all over the few wall spaces that were there. I was intrigued. The lady in charge was very welcoming, kind, nice, knowledgable, and businesslike. She works on one person at a time, has one small dressing room, and offers help if necessary. I definitely needed help. Between my husband and her the dress was put into place. A big problem was that I was wearing a walking boot. The velcro on the boot and my shoe kept catching on the lace. She kept on reminding me to make sure I didn't get dress shoes with velcro.. She did the measurements while on the floor all the way around me. What a gal. When we came to try on the hemmed dress it was absolutely perfect. And she remembered to remind me not to have any velcro on my shoes! The lady is from Bulgaria and still has quite an accent!! I was totally impressed and would go again in a heartbeat and I would refer people to her without exception. read more

I'm new to the area and found this place. I called and she said to make an appointment which I did. When I came in with my children, she started saying stuff like this is not a kids friendly place,etc. I get it! But I have no babysitter and that's why I had to bring them with me; I didn't bring them just fo fun. When I put on the pants I want to be altered, she asked if I brought shoes with me and I said no I didn't.
