I was only charged $22 for the modifications that were done in a day and a half and I am so grateful for her. She even added an additional button and metal clasps that my dress didn't come with and I am so grateful. It's a small business and I found it to be super welcoming and so so helpful. I called and was scheduled to come in to drop off an evening gown and a wedding gown. Everyone was nice and communication seemed great. On the day I was supposed to pick up my evening gown I was reassured multiple times that they opened at 10AM. I come at 10AM and they are closed. Called and they said someone would be there at 10:45AM. I wait outside until 10:45AM only for them to tell me someone would be there at 12PM. They tell me they have the flu but would come and give me my gown because I was flying out the next day and needed it. I am very understanding about. I go home and come back at 12PM. Mind you, I let them know I live 40 minutes away and to please let me know ASAP if they need to reschedule so I don't make the 40 minutes drive. 12PM, they let me know they will be there at 12:30PM. So I wait in my car until close to 1PM that someone drives up and gives me my gown. Comes to find out, someone else was in the store the entire time that I am sitting in my car waiting. While on the trip, I cannot be sure if my gown was actually taken in at the knees (supposed to be mermaid style) or not. It honestly doesn't feel like it was and I felt disappointed with the fit but told myself that at least the most important thing was done, the gown was cut short so I am not going to dwell on it and just enjoy my vacation. The wedding gown was supposed to be done a couple weeks later, we had agreed on end of May. Radio silence Early June comes around, I ask about my wedding gown, they tell me it will be done the next week. Fine. On the scheduled day its supposed to be ready. They let me know they both have the flu (again) and it would be another week at 3PM. Fine. On the scheduled day, they tell me 15 minutes before pick up time (mind you, I am already on my way there since I am 40 minutes away) they tell me they cannot make it due to family issues. It was not an emergency and they could have told me hours before me already on my way there. Tells me to come the next day at 10AM. Next day at 10AM, they tell me they cannot make it due to personal appointment and to come at 12PM. Finally I get my dress in hand and am met with the super aggressive owner as if we're the unreasonable ones. I have been EXTREMELY patient and understanding through this whole ordeal. I've already wasted a ton of time with this place and am super irritated but I have my dress finally and I am going to be understanding of maybe a really difficult time in someone's life. I wasn't going to write a review and just let it go. I come home to open the garment bag only to find out THEY USED WHITE FABRIC TO MAKE THE CORSET OF MY BLUSH PINK WEDDING GOWN!!! They obviously do not care at all except about their cash only payment. If they cannot be bothered to get blush fabric then simply return my dress to me so I can find another alterations place to do it correctly. I literally have to go get this taken off and done again after wasting SO much time AND money $200+ with these people. read more

I had a dress that needed to get shortened. it was way too long for a petite girl like me. So I went to Jalli Alterations. She was very friendly and offered her advice/suggestions. She also told me what she had to do so that I was aware of the work she was putting into the dress. It cost me $50, which I thought was pretty expensive (It cost the same as the dress did!) But the dress did come out nice. My one "eh" about this place is that she only has one area to change/try on clothes. I got stuck waiting for this one woman who probably brought in her whole wardrobe to get altered and all I needed to do was try on the dress to see if her alterations looked nice. I waited probably 30 - 40 minutes to get into the changing room. I was in and out in less than 5. Grumble. My rating was for the entire experience. If you are looking to alter your dress I would say come her if you want to be sure it will come out right. read more

She asked me a few questions, gave me a reasonable quote and told me to come back in 4 days. She delivered a superior service. I went here to get a pair of pants altered. Jalli said it would take 9 days. I have never had a seamstress say it would take that long for a simple pants hem. I wanted to pay at that time, but then she said I would be charged $3-4 if I used my debit card. When I came to pick them up on a Saturday I got there at 11:15am and it had opened at 11am. She was not there and had taken a break. It opened 15 minutes before and she had already left to take a break. I had to wait fifteen minutes for her to arrive. She gets there and parks directly in front of the store where I would guess customers would like to park. That's not a big deal, but it shows you about her customer service. I won't go here again. Jalli is amazing!! I never put up reviews, but I must for her!! I ordered a dress offline and, because of my curves, I was unsure what size I should get. I sized down instead of up, and that was a huge mistake as I couldn't get the zipper past the lower portion of my back. I went to Jalli to see if she could do anything to help as the event the dress was for is for an upcoming event. We decided that she would rehaul the zipper so that it was shorter, and that she would leave a cutout in the back where the dress couldn't zip (there was a closure at the top so it made this plausible). I dropped my dress off on a Thursday and she called me to pick it up the next Tuesday (super speedy!!). After going to try it on, there were some things that needed to be fixed so I left it with her for one more night and she had it ready for me the next day before 1pm. The dress fits like a glove and you would never know that the back didn't have that cutout originally. The dress also was completely jeweled on the back so she had to remove and reposition jewels, and it looks fantastic!! I would highly recommend going to Jalli. She's very talented, extremely professional, and willing to work with you. I would trust her with any alteration. I had some particular and specific things I wanted for my wedding dress. After receiving big promises and horrific results from a dress maker in China, I bought an off-the-rack dress, dyed it and started searching for a tailor. I have definitely found that having a great fit can really make a look, so I didn't want to skimp on tailoring.... but I also only had about 12 days to turn an ordinary dress into a "wedding dress". I took my two best options to Jalli, who promised to have them back to me within a week. The next day she called to let me to tell me they were finished. I have had tailoring done on work clothes before and wanted something a little better for this occasion. She did a fantastic job. The fit is great and it looks like they were made that way from the start, instead of being altered. Bonus points for her calm, no-nonsense demeanor. When we were looking at the dress, she distinguished between "the cheap way" and "the right way" to alter the dress, in a non-judgmental way I appreciated.
