This was the best pic I could find of me wearing the dress during the wedding day.

Happy accident finding Sue on Yelp. She responded right away and made the alterations in a timely manner. Had her hem my bridesmaid dress and tighten my straps (the top was baggy in the chest area). She went above and beyond by making a sleeve to cover my bra strap that stuck out of the dress and even gave me tips on dress etiquette. The other bridesmaids had similar alterations done by other tailors and mine was the most affordable. Highly recommend!

Gave Stitchknit a call to see if they would fix and they said to come on in. Took only 10 minutes to fit and sow. Very friendly and helpful for a reasonable price! Thank you!

Sue was so wonderful to work with when I brought her a vintage Jane Singer dress that I bought but didn't fit quite right. She was enthusiastic about the project and made sure that it fit me perfectly. I will definitely be back with my future alteration needs. Thanks Sue!

Great turnaround time when I needed my gown altered for a wedding in a couple weeks. Sue was pleasant to work with and very fair pricing.

The layer of tulle was hacked by scissors. -The bra cups were sewn in upside down and Darcy recommended I get body tape to tape in my boobs (then what is the point of getting the dress altered to your body?!) -the back was suppose to be taken in but was left floppy -the top of the dress was cutting into my neck, so she cut it with scissors right in front of me, leaving a jagged neckline. -she said the dress was ironed, but it was full of wrinkles They had my dress for 3 months and didn't return it till 5 days before my wedding day. I went to a second seamstress (2 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING DAY) and she was shocked to see poor the quality of work! I had so much anxiety and panic as I wasn't sure if the dress would be presentable on my wedding day. On top of the sloppy work, every single time I was there, I felt like just a number. I was rushed to try the dress on and rushed out, while other brides were waiting. I reached out to Darcy, and she wouldn't give me a refund. She makes you sign a paper accepting her work with no refunds. Red flag! It took me me so long to write this review because it brings back so much anxiety for me. I don't even like looking at my wedding dress in photos anymore. If you are thinking of choosing Fragile Fit, DON'T! I chose Ophelia Alterations & Gifts mainly because of her location which was closer to me than the others. I was not disappointed. A little background on my project. My father passed away several years ago. He was career Navy. I came across a collection of patches he had collected over his career of places he/we've been stationed, squadron and ships he'd served on. He wasn't one to patch his jackets (hence his collection) so I thought I'd take a few select and patch one of my own. A tribute to his service. I thought I could do it myself. A few needle punctures later I gave up. This is definitely a job for a professional. I was able to Velcro hook side the patches though. Which brought me to Misty of Ophelia Alterations & Gifts. She let me know via YELP message that she could do this project and the price sounded reasonable per patch so I decided to move forward. I wasn't sure because it seemed to me that most services I've found work with weddings, suits, dresses, etc. of the sort. And not being closer to a base or post where there are places off base that do it for sailor or soldier uniforms and jackets I was happy to hear she could work with me on this though not anything fancy or formal. I called her right away and she was able to take the coat and patches that day. I explained and showed her what I wanted and where. Despite working with other projects that I could see the turn around time was good and I didn't wait too long to get my jacket back. She did a wonderful job! Just FYI, she didn't actually sew the patches to the jacket, just the Velcro loop sides so I can remove and change patches if I want. Still, the jacket looks tight! And having a couple of other projects I've been chewing on for a tick, I'll definitely be using her services again in the future!
