When you walk in the door and are greeted as if you were a member of the family, it is quite pleasant. The place is very nicely appointed inside and welcomes you and told me something good was coming. The waiter was very helpful with the menu that has many options that are not familiar to the American customer. We had a couple of empanadas and a lomito sandwich. The empanadas were very good. It is like a meat pie and tasty. The lomito sandwich was ok, a bit tougher than I would have liked, but flavorful. Great service- everyone was super friendly and the joint was beautiful. Owner came over and you could tell he put his heart into the restaurant. This place was highly recommended by a few friends, so I had high expectations going in, and unfortunately for me the food came shy of those expectations. It was good, don't get me wrong, but wasn't as great as it had been made out to be to me. I ordered the spicy steak sandwich, which was a good serving food. I only ate half for dinner, and the second half was actually better the next day when I finish it for lunch. A friend ordered the roast chicken and unfortunately it was terribly overcooked. Argentinian food is the best and I love it, I've been working at this place and let me tell you that the way coworkers treat you is the worst things I put up with in this job... I often order to go because the food it's amazing but their service is dreadful... The last time I had dinner I gave them a chance because I was hanging out with friends and I wanted to have fun, unfortunately It couldn't happen! The manager Aitor was our server, he never gave us the drinks we asked for and only gave us water and I had to ask for straws... the food came out very late and specially my food dried up... I never complained but I was very disappointed... Incredible! I had the steak and mashed potatoes. Tasted like i was in Córdoba, Argentina. The ham and cheese empanada we had as an appetizer was so good I can't get it out of my head. The outer crust was so light and flakey. The best I've ever had. The owner recommended a special cake he learned to make from his grandmother. I saw that the reviews on yelp were pretty good, so tonight we gave it a shot! the atmosphere was great, cute place, nice staff. they started us off with bread with some different spreads, our waiter even gave us a second tray! my husband and i both ordered the asado aussie burger, the meat was cooked to perfection and it included lettuce, tomato, red onion, provolone cheese, bacon, fried egg, and a garlic spread. Super bummed. We were so excited for this place. We got a pretty large order to go, half chicken (which was pink all over, totally undercooked), steak milanesa (a little dry, so I made gravy to go with it) they talked my husband into buying the chicken milanesa with the ham, cheese and marinara (had a huge, thick black hair on it). My husband tosses his chicken, I threw the half chicken in the oven to cook more but by the time it was ready, we were over it. I ended up splitting my steak with my husband. We also ordered these little fried balls with meat inside, which were good but then boxed them on top of lettuce and the lettuce wilted and the flavor transferred over to the fried balls (to me wilted lettuce tastes like a fridge smells, if that makes sense). My husband decided that was that. We won't be returning. It's fair to say it was probably just one of those days and probably doesn't reflect their usual day/service (which is why I left 3 stars). This food is amazing. From the appetizer of empanada to dessert. I got the flank steak and asked for medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. Not dry. Perfectly medium rare. Perfectly seasoned. Exactly what you would expect from Argentinian meat. I cannot wait to try everything else. The mashed potatoes were perfect. Now, dessert.... I am rarely that excited about dessert. Nothing really hits me as through the roof delicious like it did when I was a kid. Enter the Chaja! It is a tras Leche peach cake. It is not overdone. It is not too juicy sweet. If you're looking for a trendy place to eat authentic food from Buenos Aires, this is it. We ordered the Parillada Buenos Aires to share between four adults with the given sides, a half dozen empanadas (chicken and beef), a half dozen alfajores de chocolate, a few facturas con dulce de leche, and a slice of flan. Each person at the table tried a bit of everything and even though we gorged on the food, we still had a box of leftovers to take home. The best way I can describe the food is that it is prepared identically to your standard restaurant in Buenos Aires, Argentina but with higher quality meat. While Argentina is well known for its exceptional beef, the best beef is traditionally exported away from the country, so your average Argentine asado will feature second or third quality meat. While not a complaint, my nostalgia-meter only hit about 90% because I have fond memories of the big, gnarly cuts of meat I ate from unmatched plastic serving dishes in the warm hospitality of dear friends. The dulce de leche found in abundance inside the alfajores and facturas and adorning the flan was equally authentic. Again, the elegant preparation of the homemade alfajores doesn't quite align with the packaged Havana alfajores of my memories but they were delicious in their own right. The facturas and flan were spot-on. I plan to come back soon for a milanesa sandwich and some choripan. The fresh bread and chimichurri were impeccable so I have no doubt their lunch offerings are as delicious as their parilladas. No question, 5 stars. As good as it gets. read more

Second time coming here for dinner and I gotta say the food is very good and plenty of it but the service is definitely not the best. Waited at least ten minutes for our server to even ask if we'd like a drink and at the end of the meal had to ask for boxes and our check. We ordered two Utah Paradillos with sausage, short ribs, skirt steak, chicken a pork rib and two side dishes which we choose mashed potatoes and veggies. Our extended family loves this restaurant and I was so excited to give it a try as I love Argentinian and I was in the mood for meat. Unfortunately, the experience at Asado was a bit underwhelming and disappointing. I like the design and look of the restaurant but that was about it. Nothing was horrible, but nothing was good either. All over their menu, they say that it takes a while to prepare the food. I was totally fine with that but it took over an hour and when our food was finally given to us, it was cold! The salads were brought to the table about 5 mins before the meat so we were just sitting and waiting. Additionally, the service was really lacking. No one came to refill our drinks nor to check in and give an update. By the time our food came we were hangry and then it was cold and I just wanted to go home. I won't be back. read more

We have been to this restaurant before and enjoyed it, but this was my last time. I'm done with Asado. I ordered the steak Milanésa sandwich. It was dry and flavorless. After two bites it was clear I just was not going to choke down this sandwich. The so-called steak was like a thin, dry meat cracker on a bun. I asked the waitress if I could exchange it for a hamburger or something. She asked the manager and came back with the reply that I could get a discount on it but that was it. So I'm supposed to sit there and eat this garbage just so you'll knock a couple of bucks off? No. So I stood up, left the food uneaten and walked out to pay my bill. She was perfectly happy to let me pay the full amount knowing that I was dissatisfied and the food remained uneaten. That's the difference between a competent or incompetent restauranteur. Someone who knows how to run a restaurant knows they can't afford to lose you as a customer. They will do what they need to do to keep you satisfied. Someone who doesn't know what they are doing is perfectly happy to take your money regardless of whether you're ever going to come back or not. read more
