Pretty good empañadas, only complaint is they are a little pricy at around $6-7 per, but at least you get a sauce with each empanada and a side of potato salad (which is good but odd). I personally think I would go to Arempa's for bigger and cheaper empanadas that are just as tasty, but if I'm out and about and happen to see em I'd still probly snag a few.

    Don't forget the chimchurri sauce!

Let's put it this way--if you have an option to eat empanadas, why wouldn't you? Mama-Lau was the food truck of the day at our office, and it was a very welcome sight. The beef and pulled pork empanadas were excellent, but my banana and Nutella dessert stole the show. I'd absolutely recommend the chimchurri sauce for your meat filled empys. As for the dessert empanadas, I would suggest asking them to hold the whipped cream--that way, you can pick it up to eat it and not lose precious Nutella by cutting it with fork and knife. But, regardless of how you decide to down your empanadas, Mama-Lau is a tremendous lunch time choice!

Always looking for places that serve empanadas! So delish! Had the Pulled Pork and Spinach and there was so much flavor! And the Banana Nutella was a perfect sweet dessert! My only critique is that they could have been served hotter. Definitely going here a lot this summer at food truck rallies!

POSITIVES: Great local company, legit argentine empanadas. The sauces were awesome! (Golf sauce, chimichurri, and criolla). NEGATIVES: Pricey. It's $12 for 4 empanadas and 2 sauces. Hard to find the food truck. I know it's next to Start-Up crossing in Provo on Thurs. nights. They didn't have piononos (sponge cake with dulce de leche) PRICE: 3.49 per empanada, plus .50 sauces. RECOMMENDED: Bacon and gouda empanada was by far the best. They also have beef, chicken, bbq pork, vegetarian options, and a few dessert ones.

Best empanadas you can find here in Utah! Tried the pulled pork and beef, cannot go wrong with any! Totally worth a stop if you're nearby.

Sadly my empanada had a black hair in it :( and the guy serving was absolutely rude about it when I let him know.

Best empanadas I've ever had. Perfectly made. It is quite pricey but they are also surprisingly filling so it's worth it!

I cannot say enough about the tasty fillings, flakey pastry and the out-of-this-world cilantro/jalapeño sauce, all made fresh. I recently succumbed to gluten issues and was thrilled by their gluten-free options. The dessert pies are delicious as well. The proprietors and staff are super personable and enthusiastic. Just put it like this; I went to their brick and mortar on a day that they had closed around 5 which is before their posted time of 6 p.m. and was crushed after craving all day. Another customer drove up, I looked at them, shook my head and they had a similar expression. Follow their IG as they are at farmer's markets and maker pop ups. The pies travel well and reheat nicely. And purchase a jar of the cilantro-jalapeño sauce; it lasts forever, is good on everything. I use it like salsa on eggs. Add it to Alfredo sauce for pasta or just whisk in some olive oil for pesto style.

As luck would have it, I was a little hungry anyway and I made a beeline for their booth. I was surprised by how large the empanadas are. I've used to a modest sized option, but these are gargantuan. The flavor was amazing and I was not able to finish it (but I did wrap it up and save it for later.) If you have a chance to visit, be sure to do it! You won't be disappointed.

Everyone is so friendly and the service is quick. I remark every single time about how quick they are to serve us our food. They have remembered my family and bring us our drinks without even needing to ask. Their food is delicious, and we appreciate the authenticity. If you haven't been, and aren't near by to partake in their amazing food regularly, you HAVE to try the Philly asada omelet. You won't regret it!! I saw a comment about the restaurant being dark, but the lighting seems great. Anything much brighter would probably upset my eyes, especially early in the morning (as that's when we typically go). Someone also mentioned the wait is long. The restaurant isn't huge, and if you go at a time when everyone else is also going, usually any time after 9, then of course it'll be busy. Go early and it'll be faster, but either way, the wait is completely worth it. Thank you, to the Our Kitchen Cafe family for being so kind to me and my family. We appreciate your business and hope you continue to succeed!

Cafe Guanico solved my papusa & Salvadorian horchata craving…read more My go-to papusas are the loroco/cheese and zucchini/cheese. Both of the papusas I got were fresh, had a good amount cheese, and the veggies were delicious. They do include the salad and tomato sauce on the side. The horchata isn't just a regular rice and water drink. There's a bunch of seeds and toasted rice blended together so you get a real nutty and almost smoke flavour. This is my 2nd favorite kind of Horchata. I've never had chapulines and a family member wanted to try them so I got a side of those as well. They didn't taste like much, mostly salty, sour, crunchy and a toasted flavor. I only ate a few because I started having flashbacks to insect videos on YouTube which have permanently ruined my eyesight. I'll definitely come back when I'm in town.

The papusas were hot and delicious and extremely filling. The cabbage slaw topping and salsas and everything in general was clearly fresh. Whatever you order will definitely satisfy your appetite. And for anyone wondering about what a Tlaytudas is we didn't order the dish but it looked like an El Salvadoran pizza. Def a meal for two.

This was my second time eating here, and the experience was sadly lacking…read more I hate giving mom-and-pop shops lower ratings, so I will emphasize that this experience happened at 7:30pm on a Monday (the day before they close for two days). We placed an order through their preferred app. The food prices online are definitely (and expectedly) inflated. It will be cheaper to order in the restaurant. Our total for two sandwiches and two sides of rice and beans was $54.72 (including a tip). When we arrived at the time our food was supposed to be ready, we were told that they had not started cooking the meal. Then, we were told that they only had enough lettuce for one of the two sandwiches, so we chose one sandwich to have lettuce and the other without. They brought out our food 15 minutes later, and they gave us a complementary dessert to make up for the trouble, but the issues did not end there. When we opened the box to eat the sandwich, there was barely any lettuce on it--the sandwich would have been better if they omitted the lettuce completely. Additionally, the chicken sandwich was, unfortunately, dry. I had to put sauce on it at home to make it edible because of how dry it was. Sadly, it will be a little while until I try this place again.
