Drapes on the left shrunk 4 inches after cleaning. Compare to the panel that was not cleaned on the right. The lining sticks out.

I had a good experience the first time I dropped off clothes to be cleaned so I went there a second time. When we went to pick up my items the second time they were not ready at the pick up time. They apologized and asked us to come in the next day. We came in the next day and the items were not ready. They told us they would call us when they were ready and drop off the items. They did not call at the time they said they would and when I tried to call their phone went straight to a full voicemail. I ended up texting a 1-800 number they had texted me from to get ahold of them and they responded that there was another delay and it would be another hour or so. When they dropped off our drapes I hung them and noticed they had shrunk about 4 inches and the lining was sticking out. I texted the number to let them know and never received a response. I would have liked them to be more proactive in their communication. I also need to replace a $200+ dollar drape panel because their plant messed up the linen cleaning.

This review is for the alternation only not the dry cleaning. So I have moved away from my usual tailor and found this place on Yelp with perfect reviews and they left a great impression on the phone. However, the alternation job was really sloppy. I took in two pairs of pants that were too big at the waist. I was in no rush so I picked them up a week later. I was so disappointed when I got home and took the pants out to try them on. The waist is about the right size now, but there are ugly visible threads and the two sides of the pants where the extra fabrics were cute off and sewed together are not symmetric or smooth as they were. On one pair there is a hole left open and the belt loop is sewed to the side instead of the middle. There are loose threads on both pair, one on the outside and one on the inside. I'm scared if I wash them they will fall apart. Let alone there was a staple (?!) on one of the pair. Luckily I notices it before it could cut my skin. Those pants are not cheap but the crooked details make them look pretty cheap now. The pictures do not even show how bad the details look. I give two stars for the friendly staff. I thought about having them fix the pants for me but I'm not sure they will come back better so I just took them to my old place to see if the pants can still be saved. They were surprised by how badly the job was done. Now I'm paying double the cost. Anyway, will not go to this place for alternation again.

Absolutely love this place. Have gotten multiple garments tailored and repaired here, they always do a fantastic job. Service is fast and friendly, worth driving across town for! I trust them with any of my clothes.

Best service every time ! I went there to alter my son's school shirt and fleece which was wrong size as he wears youth large and shirt and fleece was adult large. He was very disappointed and want to wear it so I took his sample shirt and drop it on Saturday noon. Sunday they were closed and It was ready for pick up on Monday before 12 noon. Exact my son size and stitching was awesome and perfect. It look like new as there is no sign of cutting and sewing back again :) we are so happy :) Thank you for your amazing job again! read more

They only use the best of the best equipment and supplies, where a lot of dry cleaners use the cheapest. I bring high end designer clothes like $1000+ jackets and $600 hoodies to get dry cleaned here and I wouldn't have it any other way!! 100% recommend read more

Outstanding work on alterations, I came in to get a few dresses cleaned and one of them hemmed and shortened, and the seamstress did such a clean job I was unsure if it was even shortened since I couldn't see any sign of cutting! My only complaint was that I asked twice if it was even shortened (I couldn't really test myself since I had to get rid of the heels I wore with it), and both times I was told I would be called back to confirm if it was or wasn't, but I wasn't called back at all. Thankfully the manager (I'm assuming he is the manager) and seamstress were helpful and showed me that it was indeed shortened. Good pricing and great work :) Would recommend read more

Great service! Came in on a Monday (since other nearby places were closed) and needed a one-piece dress fixed - the part joining the bodice and skirt came apart slightly - as well as reinforcements on the button holes on four matching waist ties. Couldn't tell which ties were good and which needed repairing since there was some minimal fraying around the holes but couldn't figure out what the original sewing was like myself. The gentleman was friendly, gave me great advice and said he'll have the lady take a look at them all. I needed the fixing done asap and everything was ready to be picked up the next afternoon. Dress and waist ties were fixed at an extremely reasonable price. Would recommend this place! read more

Brought my off-white duvet cover here when I spilled a bit of purple nail polish on it. You can barely tell the nail polish was ever there! Very happy with the service, which was very fairly priced, and the duvet cover was ready on time. The only negative is there's an orange spot that didn't exist before, looks like maybe some solvent that dropped or something like that. I haven't had time to take the duvet cover back to them to look at it. Overall, would recommend. Pictures are: stain, stain spot post-treatment, and mysterious orange spot. Update: took the duvet back in for a do-over. When I picked it up, one of the guys and one of the ladies (didn't get their names) helped me open it up to make sure the stain was gone. This is the most amazing cleaners in Pasadena the prices are very fair and they do a great job with all the cleaning I've ever taken to them. Ace cleaners does anything from comforters to curtains rugs and leather jackets as well as regular clothes. The customer service is absolutely fantastic, and every customer is treated like family. They have a great seamstress on site who does any type of alterations needed, with or without an appointment. Came in to get my uniform patches sewed on. Lady didn't do a good job. Brought it back she did and excellent job fixed it for free & dry cleaned it for free. I came in asking for an alteration for a simple black dress, just to have the arm holes widened a tad. The nice lady at hand said no problem and charged $28, no measly sum. Three days later I picked it up - to be honest I couldn't tell if the job had even been done or not but I was in a rush and did not check until I'd gotten home. It was a great Friday night until I spilled RED WINE on my boyfriends very expensive dress pants... Immediately the next morning I called dry cleaner after dry cleaner asking them if they thought they could get it out. No one gave me any hope until a kind man at Ace Cleaners told me he was "90% sure it would come out." I rushed over there and left feeling hopeful. They told me to come back Wednesday to pick them up. I called Tuesday, anxiously hoping they were ready. And they were! I hurried over there to find them looking as good as new (minus a tiny spot they did not come out but was hardly noticeable anymore). I am SO happy with my experience with Ace Cleaners. I stopped in on a Saturday desperately need an alteration done on one of my maxi dresses that drags on the floor. When I called in, the gentleman that picked up the phone was very accommodating and pleasant. He mentioned that if I made it to the shop before 11:30am Rosie could perform the alteration. Rosie was a sweet lady that really took her time to pin the bottom and make sure that I was satisfied with the length. The dress was ready and at my desired length within 2 hours of walking. I would highly recommend Rosie for any alteration needs. read more

Loved this dry cleaner. So sad to move and leave them behind. Alan was terrific, so personable and always took care of me. His mom altered two bridesmaids dresses and one flower girl dress for me with no issues. His dad was also nice as could be and never had any issues with anything we brought them in 2 years. My husband waited more than 15 mins. Turns out there is only one person who works there. They don't actually dry clean the clothes there. It gets picked up or delivered to the main location in South Pas (I think that's the location.) Two days later, I go to pick up the clothing. Same sign but my thoughts are, "15 mins from what time? 15 mins from 5 mins ago, 10 mins ago?" I waited almost an hour!! There were a couple cars that drove off and a couple more that waited like I did. I called the phone number listed TWICE but it's forwarded to the other location. They have no idea where there employee is. I knock several time on the glass door and window. Finally, employee shows up, unlocks the door and we all go in. I was first, so I told him I waited for almost an hour when stupid sign said be back in 15 mins. Told him that was a poor way to handle business. So unprofessional and disappointing for a company that has had a presence in Pasadena for so long. He blamed his coworker that put up the sign and left. Doesn't matter. The sign should say what time someone was going to be back. This was the first and last time. The dry cleaning itself was good. Maybe try a different location that doesn't close their doors during business hours. Who has time to wait an hour for someone to show up for work?!? I certainly didn't. I just didn't want to have to drive back again and risk them having that sign up again.

Greg told me the calves could be stretched so I paid to have them stretched and soled at the same time- turning a $5 pair of boots into a $105 pair of boots. He was great at communicating with me through the app and seemed kind, so I drove far for the service. I tried them on when I dropped them off so he could see where they needed stretched in the calf. When I came to pick them up, I tried them on with the new soles- and the calves did not appear to be stretched at all. What hurt my feelings was when he said "These are for YOUR legs?" and looked down at my kankles in UTTER disgust. The judgement on his face has left a permanent burn mark on my memory. I think back to that moment every time I pass the $5 boots-turned-$105 boots I still cannot wear, every time I walk out my door. I paid what was asked, I'm only sad I didn't have more self respect to say "YEAH. MY LEGS. YOU SAW ME TRY THEM ON. WHO DID YOU THINK I WAS GETTING THEM STRETCHED FOR?". 2 stars off for the contorted, disapproving face he made at my legs that will haunt me every time I try on high boots for the rest of my life.

I was in need of a new tailor and cleaners since my local shop shut down due to Covid. I gave Ace a test run with an alteration and some dry cleaning and they came through with exceptional results. Ace Cleaners defines the small family business of Pasadena. They are polite, prompt and stand behind their work. The entire family has treated me as a top customer and I appreciate that. I just wish I would have discovered them years earlier. So glad to have a shop that can do high end alternations and for me to not stress about the results knowing that I'm in good hands. read more

Friendly, trust-worthy guys who know what they're doing! I am always cautious when taking my clothes to a dry cleaner because I never know whether I'm going to get service to my liking. Here, not only do I get great service, but the price is so reasonable! The guys here are friendly, exuding superior customer service, and know their work. I bought a very expensive, fancy materials, 2 piece designer dress. But I bought it used and it came filthy and way too big. Ace cleaners altered and cleaned for a good price and it was a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend them, and plan on doing all my alterations and dry cleaning there from now on. read more
