The second bathroom had loose floor tiles, and were removed, cleaned up and reinstalled. Also required re caulking around the tub/shower. The third bathroom had loose bullnose tile requiring removal cleanup and re-installed, as well as re-caulking around the vanity back splash and shower. The fourth bathroom shower wall, vanity backsplash and shower door were re caulked. Fremont Tile & Carpet reviewed each bathrooms and made suggestions on the amount of work required. The manager Obaid, helped us to select new tile for one bathroom (it looks great), suggested reuse of existing tile in two other bath, wrote up a description and estimate covering all work. The work took a span of a week start to finish and went very well. Floor and rugs were covered and all the work was executed very professionally. I would use FT&C again.

My husband and I first went to a flooring store in Fremont (one of the "name" chains that advertises on TV). The employee was extremely nice and helpful, but she informed us that the owner "only installs big jobs." (We'd told her that two of our three bathrooms are very small, and the third isn't that big, either.) So, they could sell us flooring but not install it. We said, ok, no problem--please give us your list of recommended installers. To our surprise, they didn't have even one to recommend. As helpful as the employee had been (in terms of showing us samples and discussing different flooring types), I thought, "Why do we want to give our business to a place where the owner can't even be bothered to recommend an installer?" So, I went to Yelp, read the reviews of Liberty Floor Covering, and I'm so glad I did. I stopped by their showroom in Hayward, and Roger, the owner, was extremely friendly and welcoming. I told him right off the bat that this would not be a big job, but the way he treated me, you would have thought we wanted all of our house's flooring re-done. He told me that he, or Liberty's co-owner, insist on taking all measurements themselves before even giving an estimate, to ensure that they're done correctly. He also let me take a large book of floor samples home and said he would just pick it up later. (I'd already decided we'd almost certainly go with Liberty, just based on Roger's courtesy and professionalism.) All I can say is...WOW. We haven't even installed the new hardware yet, or repainted, and our bathrooms look almost brand-new. Pedro, the installer who did the job, obviously knows what he is doing and takes a lot of pride in his work. Roger had mentioned to me that other flooring businesses are always trying to hire his installers, and I don't blame them. Pedro, and I'm sure his other employees too, does stellar work. One of our bathrooms turned out to have some damage to the underlying floor, and Pedro took the extra time to do all repairs and make it right. No complaints here--we are grateful he put in the extra time and effort. I don't think you're going to get this caliber of work done by Lowe's or Home Depot. They burned the hardwood and by over sanding them beyond repair!! Needless my hardwood floors are permanently destroyed and will need to be entirely replaced by a reputable company that meet our standards! We had Jimmy did epoxy coating for garage back in July 2024. I informed him via text (12/5/25) for the cracking but did not reply at all! He used to reply very fast before and during the transaction. I read other reviews and would like to verify he does not smell doing any drug. His lovely wife was a good assistant. The epoxy material he used looks commercial grade, not the home depot quality. If your garage has no crack, then having him to do the job is a good choice. For me, there were crack (garage is extended so the crack is between new and old concrete) and it took him work grinding up until smooth (not smooth enough). This epoxy crack is due to insufficient grinding. It looks fine when the job is done but the bump shows up in a few months. When I texted him at 510-598-9792 (original # he used to communicate with me), no replied. After I posted the review and he said he changed his # to 510-387-4527. Please see the updated review below. updated: 1/21 Jimmy came to do the fix. came daily except Sunday and finished on 1/26/2026 (total 5 days/times process). It was dusty when grinding off the old/damage epoxy. This time he applied water barrier epoxy to fill the gap. He was a lot more detailed for the repair, really taking his time, at first he said it was like a 2 days job but turned into 5 days. I expect no repair needed if the job is done right at the first time. Repair brings inconvenience to both home owners and Jimmy. I extended my garage both front and back. I am ok just have him do the front with high car traffic area. The back end still bump up but I don't want more grinding and dust in my garage. In Conclusion, this is small family business and I hope Jimmy would still get jobs but hope he does the job more carefully and no repair needed. Given his price is lower than others, I will still choose him all over again despite all the inconvenience. Tips: please ask him to give you paid invoice in case repair is needed in the future.
