I'm so glad I met with Yumi on 9/11/19 for a free consultation of my eyebrows. I've had my eyebrows tattoed many times by 3 different artists. The last procedure lasted only a year and wasn't as nice as I had hoped. So I was on a search for another artist.
Yumi was very nice and patient about learning how I wanted my eyebrows to look. She drew in the shape with an eyebrow pencil and made some suggestions about thickening the shape since I had a wider space between my eyebrow and eyes. Also, it would give me a more modern look. I liked the new shape, but was concerned that change would be too drastic.
Furthermore, Yumi explained that she doesn't use a machine, but does it by hand. It is a microblading technique that gives the eyebrows a natural look of real hairs. Yumi had an available appointment the next day so I decided to have her create my new eyebrows. On the day of the procedure we decided not to thicken the shape too much and to wait until the 3 week follow up appointment to decide on thickening the shape. To be honest I was quite apprehensive about pain as I expected it to be worse than the pain from a machine. But to my surprise, it was much less.
Once the shape of my eyebrows was determined, Yumi applied an anesthetic cream and waited for about 15 minutes for the area to numb. Then she showed me a new, sanitized microblading needle.
She explained that I would hear scratching sounds. I did not feel anything when she made the first few scratches. It became a little sensitive when she began to work near the eyebrow bone. So she applied more numbing cream. Whenever an area was sensitive, Yumi applied more cream. Overall, the entire procedure took about 11/2 hours and it was 90% pain free.
My eyebrows look great and I can't wait for it to heal completely(in about 4-5 days) so I can see the actual color. I look forward to my 3 week follow up visit and this time I will bring my ear buds and listen to music so I won't hear the scratches.
Yumi's prices are very reasonable. Check out her website for pricing information. And yes, she accepts a credit card.
