I had the pleasure of hiring Lexi, Yuki, and Jennifer for my 2-day wedding this past weekend! They were very professional, accommodating, and such a joy to have! In short, Lexi is awesome. I found her while I was scrolling through Instagram, reached out about date/times/pricing and she was the quickest to respond. Once we were able to establish wedding day and a trial run, I sent her pictures of what I wanted. I set the trial run for about a month before the wedding. Everything went great! Lexi is so outgoing and has this really cute dog named Yoyo. My mom loves dogs so she was preoccupied the whole time we were there. The only thing is that was a little difficult was finding parking, but it was expected because we knew Lexi's studio is in Waikiki. During the trial run, she pulled up my pics and went to work (see 3 pics of trial run). Also on a side note, my makeup and hair held up about five hours after having it done (see picture). I decided to go with airbrush since Lexi suggested it when I told her that wedding will be outdoors and I tend to sweat a lot lol. I highly recommend; it was probably the best suggestion she made. The makeup was beautiful and so was the hair, however, me being a typical bride, I changed my mind about the hair because I wanted to show off how long it was so requested for a braid instead. When I brought this up with Lexi, she was incredibly accommodating and ultimately made that happen. On the day of the wedding, she and her wonderful hair assistant, Yuki, came over to the hotel where my mom (matron) and I stayed the night before around 6am (my wedding was at 10am). Lexi did my mom and my makeup and Yuki did our hair. Both ladies were extremely fast and very friendly! Lexi was able to touch up my hair right at the end and by the time we knew it, they finished both of us at 8am! I highly recommend Lexi!! She is fast, efficient, and extremely talented! I just finished a private makeup lesson with Lexi and it was so informative and fun! I consider myself an intermediate makeup person but I've always been interested in learning makeup tricks and techniques so I decided to book a formal makeup lesson. I was especially wanting to learn airbrush makeup and how to improve my eyeshadow technique. This was considered an advanced lesson by the way. She also offers beginners. The lesson was done at her place and parking is provided. Lexi is very meticulous and patient in her teaching and technique. She asks for what look you're trying to achieve and then demonstrates the makeup on one half of your face and you mimic on the other half. I learned tricks I didn't realize were essential like how to hold your brushes, what brushes and strokes to use, etc. I think I do my makeup fairly well but Lexi really provides those extra tips and tricks that elevate you to the next level. The part I found super useful and we spent a good amount of time on was airbrush. You can watch YouTube channels but it's different when you do it yourself. Her eyeshadow portion was also very eye opening! I also learned that Based on my bone structure, I didn't need to contour certain parts of my face. She also tells you what colors/ products would work well for you. It's helpful if you bring a little notepad. All in all, I'd say this was very fun and such a unique experience. I'd definitely do it again and it would be a fun bachelorette/ bridal/ birthday activity w a group of girls. Lexi is really kind and patient and really takes the time to explain things in detail. Most makeup artist like to start super early in the morning regardless of how small your party is and they take up almost half the day to get you ready. I felt really at ease getting ready with them.
