Satisfaction, you can getyousome... Around for many years, before Williamsburg became such a huge "thing", this spot intrigues. A DJ spins GOOD records while you walk through this giant indoor space with a variety of stalls selling lovely home-spun items made by hand with a solid personal touch. Jewelry, body grooming products, clever garments, and many other fun things in between. I can always find a $20 prize to come home with, though it's QUITE easy to spend a good deal more then that on yourself or for gifts to give. This is NOT L.L.Bean, this is L.L.Cool J back in the day. Theres a location in Los Angeles CA too; I look forward to visiting in the future to see how East vs West Coast styles stack up. Soooo much fun! Whether you're a shopper, tourist or a local with kids in tow, this is a fun weekend stop. Have to say, save your pennies for this painfully hip vintage flea market in the heart of Williamsburg! Walking down the street you can tell where the fashionable kids are going, and that place is Artists and Fleas! Fresh, hot coffee at an adorable little cart outside gears you up for the walk in! Buttery leathers, vintage to die for, ranging from couture, to handmade to threadbare, and it's a welcome sight! Delicate silks upcycled into robes, upcycled into cowls and every other types of reborn fashion you can imagine. REALLY great place to people watch, especially in the summer when you can take your newly purchased gems for a walk next to the water after you grab some tasty artisan ice cream! I stumbled upon Artists & Fleas while on my way to the Brooklyn flea. What a nice surprise, especially on a rainy Sunday morning! You can find a lot of handmade jewelry, vintage and originally designed clothes and shoes, some knick knacks, artwork, and a few antiques. There was a food cart outside the entrance selling coffee, burgers, and other stuff, but I didn't try any of it. The only things I thoroughly browsed were the clothes. As some reviewers have already noted, this place caters mostly to women. A lot of the prices were a bit too steep for me--most of the clothes were $50 and up. However, the vintage clothes were all hand-picked and in pretty good condition, so take that into consideration. I did, manage to score these vintage reversible overalls on sale for $30. It's now one of my most favorite pieces in my wardrobe. The vendor was really friendly. She told me what she knew about the garment and warned me to only hand-wash it to preserve the details of the fabric. It's nice to buy things from people who know and actually care about the clothes they're selling. There was another vendor who caught my attention...she was a young Asian woman who sold really cute dresses that I believe she designed herself. I can't remember the name of her clothing line, so please let me know if you do! Overall, Artists & Fleas was a nice way to spend my morning. I might do more perusing than actual spending, but who knows what I could find lingering on a sales rack? If I'm ever in Williamsburg again, I'll definitely stop by. read more

I absolutely adore thrift shops and flea markets. You never know what you'll come back home with and that's so thrilling for me. I stumble upon this place a few months ago and i just couldn't resist. Whenever i go there, i always come back with at least a piece of artwork. It's not a cheap salvation army kind of place but you always find something interesting if you're willing to pay the price. A great find in Wburg if you're not afraid of bargaining--oodles of unique clothing, jewelry, stationary, and miscellaneous items. Some are cheap, many are most definitely not. My friend and I were entranced by a t-shirt stand near the entrance with adorable birds embroidered on comfy soft grey tees. They didn't have my size, but the super nice designer offered to sew me one that night if I could come back tomorrow. I did. Day two I got some great deals thanks to it being late in the day on a Sunday and my haggling finesse. I got a gorgeous bird's nest type ring made out of twisted gold and silver wire and gold earrings in the same style for $40 together, the birdy shirt, and my friend found a stunning 60's inspired mod dress from a young French designer that looked ripped from the pages of Vogue for $90 (bargained down from $100). My one gripe is that most clothing items run super small--like Olsen twin small, so finding something can be a challenge for those over a size 4. read more

Just a bunch of overpriced hipster fodder. You can probably find much nicer things just browsing Etsy. Very crowded and the vendors seem to sell very similar things. If you have nothing else to do, you can check it out. Also the lemonade stand outside sells super sour lemonade. Would not recommend. read more

I love this flea market - there are lots of different vendors to choose from, prices tend to be pretty reasonable, & I've been really pleased with everything I've bought here from clothes, jewelry, vintage items, hats, cupcakes, chocolate bars, etc. I come here pretty frequently to shop and/or browse around. The location is convenient, the wares are really cool, prices are moderate, many of the vendors take cards, and everyone is super friendly. read more

Funky, no frills flea market in the heart of Williamsburg. They offer a rotating roster of up to 30 vendors of everything from used clothing, books and chatchkes, to original works of art and fresh frocks from indie clothing designers. My favorite, by far, is the display of t-shirts designed by Artists & Fleas' owner. The silk-screened designs are awesome, and often hilarious. Seek out the punk baby tees. Trust me. read more

Located in a little warehouse in the trendy area of Williamsburg, this place claims to be a flea market. This place is geared 95% to women and 80% of the vendors here are selling new/used clothing and fashion accessories. It caters almost entirely to the hipster fashion culture which makes this place not really all that creative in my mind and not really my cup of tea. read more

I LOVE this flea market. I was immediately drawn to a table near the front of the space where an adorable French woman was selling her handmade jewelry. She made up a story to go with the charms on one of the necklaces for sale and I was charmed enough to buy it! Get it? OK stupid pun. But really, the selection here is amazing. From cheap to expensive, vintage to cutting edge, they had some really fabulous pieces. Jewelry, clothing, furniture, music, etc. I couldn't get enough. I've heard of this and walked by this place so many times but never went. I FINALLY made it there last weekend. I wish I went there sooner. I mean, I like to shop sometimes... okay, most of the time.... well, all the time. But I don't have a problem. Trust me. They have something for everyone here - from vintage clothes, original designs, books, hats, and unique jewelry. I definitely go through phases in my wardrobe but no matter what phase I'm in, I can never get enough jewelry. I love Georgia Varidakis' collection. She has her table set out in the front. All of her pieces are amazing and unique - like rings made from mini-forks, children toys that are cast in silver (who would have thought beheaded plastic dogs, cast in silver will look so classy???). Definitely, definitely take a look but be careful... you're going to want everything she has. Btw, everyone there at every table is super nice and friendly. Yay! read more

My brother, friend and I were exploring the area one Saturday and I happened to stumble upon this on yelp. I was so glad I found it, it was really unique! It was a huge two(ish) room venue where the artists tables were nicely spread out. The artists were all super friendly and approachable. There was homemade lip butter, photography, jewelry, tapestries, and clothing from different countries to name a few. There was also random food samples, beer samples, and this carbonated coffee/lemonade drink being given out, as well as a dj playing some chill music. I really enjoyed walking around and checking out all the art. Prices seemed to vary but some of it was pretty affordable. There was a very relaxed vibe to the place/kinda hipster-ish and I would definitely go back and recommend it to friends! read more

I love this place. The space itself to is large, filled with dozens of vendors, yet spacious with a nice flow. The single-stall bathroom is large and clean. There are so many interesting crafts available here from vintage, recycled, and handmade clothing and jewelry, to borderline mad scientist creative j by "V," which is a must try. You can find plenty of unique gifts (try the homemade, all-natural, and affordable beauty products), old records, and other curious items here. I prefer Williamsburg Flea over this place. Its a little overpriced and I feel like no one buys their items because I see the same thing every week or every month. I asked a booth how much her Indian headdress was and she told me it was $450! I really felt like I saw it at a Western boutique downtown Manhattan for $100. She was not very nice about it either. My friend came to visit last weekend, we stopped by and she was interested in purchasing a necklace. I didn't feel like the booth tender's attitude was nice and her customer service was poor. If she wanted to sell my friend the necklace she could have tried harder than to just ignore her and hold a conversation with her friend. read more

I visited the Chelsea Market location and had an overall bad experience. I encountered one vendor that was extremely honest about their products, Fredy Roncalla, I bought a few rings and wear them almost every day. However, I visited a second stand, Brooklyn Bleu, and was given the wrong information about the metals used in their products in order to propel a sale. So, the earrings I purchased made my ears start bleeding in less than 5 minutes of having them on (I've known that I've had this issue with earrings since I was a child), and this storefront still hasn't processed my refund after I returned the item almost 3 to 4 weeks ago. I was told in the store that my refund would be processed and my receipt said that I would receive my money within 24 hours. I contacted the vendor through Square, got no response, and when I emailed them expressing my aggravation, the potential store owner implied that [he/she] had been traveling for weeks (as if this was my concern at all) and also negatively confronted me about my aggravation with the customer service I had received. Why wouldn't I be upset after this?! I haven't been able to wear earrings for weeks and if someone genuinely has a connection with their customers, then they should care about whether or not they were mistreated in multiple regards. I definitely will not return to Artists & Fleas and I highly recommend staying away from this boutique, as well, if you want jewelry or kind customer service! read more

Totally overhyped. I was disappointed by all the overpriced JUNK that was for sale. And yes, I know, someone's junk is someone else's treasure, but honestly I saw a lot of people picking up stuff, asking the vendor how much and putting it back down and walked onto the next booth. There were a few gems but not worth the sticker shock. You can find a lot of the stuff being sold here on Craiglist or ebay or businesses liquidations. If you're in the area, it doesn't hurt to swing by. The best part was people watching and the food trucks. read more

I definitely wouldn't call this place a flea market, but it is a cute, convenient spot for shopping for unique, locally-made items. Most of the stands sell jewelry, but there are also vintage clothing racks, "book clocks", and more. Prices vary, so don't be deterred if you see something expensive, though nothing will be cheap. I like wandering through here when I'm in the area during their business hours. Among the offerings, you will find tiny cupcakes (think Baked by Melissa goes Williamsburg with flavors like maple bacon), handmade soap, jewelry and vintage clothing and accessories. It's a mix up of really awesome unique stuff (adorable hand painted jewelry) and stuff that used to be unique, but is now par for the course in Williamsburg (brass bunny head necklaces). This small market is by farrrr not a bargain spot, but it is well worth checking out. I am not from New York, let alone from Brooklyn, so I was a little confused about the hodge podge of hipster specific clothing, jewelry, soap, etc. How many shirts do you need that say Brooklyn in a very hip graphic? How about jewelry made from upcycled silverware? Not your thing? Try a leather bag, or perhaps a 2"X2" canvas of the Brooklyn Bridge. While in a shop on Bedford Ave, a sales associate mentioned that this was a great place to check out. Even on a rainy day, I had no trouble finding the market as its marked by a huge sign encircled by large flashing light bulbs. Upon entry I was slightly overwhelmed--in a good way! There were dozens of booths with multiple artists and vintage/consignment sellers, each with their own individual style. Personally, I wish there were more vintage/consignment booths but I am also not in Brooklyn regularly so they might have more depending on the week. All in all, definitely a great place to check out! read more
