I wish I could give 10 stars. Let me explain... I was visiting New York a while back and made a day shopping and eating in Brooklyn. I stopped in Norbu because I love jewelry and always love to buy it when I'm on vacay (never wears out, always fits and will forever remind me of that trip). I picked out a delicate necklace and a pair of silver hoops. They have an amazing selection for every taste! I was in heaven!! My salesperson was patient and kind, not too pushy and extremely helpful. Now, I had been looking all over for a pair of simple hoops that WOULDN'T FALL OUT. I found the perfect pair. Long enough posts so I figured they wouldn't work their way out of my ears. Fast forward three days to my return to the Bay Area. Stoked to wear my new earrings to work. Upon showing my first customer my great new earrings, I discovered one was gone. I LITERALLY walked from my house to my car and from my car to my workplace! Grrrr! I emailed Norbu the situation. They emailed me back right away! After a few email exchanges, she (Sang sang) asked me to send her my lone earring so she could find the match. You guys, she could have dropped the ball here. She could have said, "sorry, no luck", a myriad of excuses. Today I received an email saying they were on their way! And I hesitate to say, but no charge! Now, don't go expecting her to do this for all of y'all's missing jewelry. I am most definitely a special case. I mean that in the kindest way. I HIGHLY recommend Norbu! Exceptional, world-class, above and beyond customer service, a beautiful selection and great prices. What more could you want?!? I WILL be back! Thank you! read more

Norbu is a true gem in the neighborhood -- a longstanding jewelry shop that continues to shine even as the area becomes saturated with trendier, more commercial options. This place has been part of the community for as long as I can remember, and it's easy to see why it remains a favorite. What sets Norbu apart is not only the beautiful, thoughtfully curated collection of jewelry but also the exceptional customer service. After browsing several other stores in the area, I came back to Norbu because nothing else quite measured up -- not in quality, and certainly not in care. I went to just browse the shop recently to see what I could get myself as a gift. The experience was nothing short of lovely. The staff was warm, patient, and genuinely attentive -- helping me make a meaningful choice with zero pressure. They made sure every detail was just right, and their kindness made the moment feel truly special. Thank you, Norbu, for your care, your expertise, and for continuing to be a trusted, welcoming space in our community. read more

I asked the employee what the ring was made of and she explained to me it is brass and relatively cheap so I bought it because it was really cute. I realized after wearing it it was brass plated and the employee did not mention that at all and told me it would last and not tarnish if I kept it in good condition. It started to peel off after 2 or 3 months and now I have a ring that is peeling off and doesn't look too sightly. After one wash the "brass" changed color and so I placed translucent polish on it but it still peeled off. I'm guessing this brass plate is very low quality and not worth it. I give an extra stars for the other pretty pieces in the store but this particular one was not up to par for me. read more

Im terrible at buying presents. The ladies at the store were patient and helpful. They have a ton of different jewelry items which was really helpful specially because I went in without knowing exactly what I wanted. Also the price for the items are really good. I'm definitely going back! read more

I really didn't feel comfortable shopping here. They had beautiful jewelry, but the staff followed behind me, counting everything I touched, or even looked at. I didn't realize it before I paid, but I picked up an anklet and walked away to checkout, and the staff immediately alerted each other that something was "missing". They accused me of stealing while I was making my purchase. My husband told me what happened after I left the store. I tried to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, so I walked back inside and observed a woman looking at the same exact jewelry in the same exact place I had been standing. No one came behind her to recount. I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed that I spent my money in a place that so obviously has discriminatory practices. I returned the anklet not even 10 minutes after I initially bought it and was told by the same employee that accused me of stealing that I would only receive store credit. I wish I had called them out and fought to get my money back, but that's pretty outside of my nature. I left a review on Google after I left. I noticed an influx of new 5 star reviews that were posted right after mine, I think I recognized some of photos as people who work in the store. I could be wrong, but that's really shady business practice if I'm not. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this store. read more

Dear Boys, This (Norbu) is where you should stop to buy jewelry if you are looking for a beautiful way to say "Happy Holidays" to any of the ladies in your life. Yes, your wife, fiance, girlfriend, lover, booty call, sister (ew, shouldn't be those that close together, sorry), mom, stepmom, aunt, grandmother...whomever, this is a store where you're going to bat a thousand. Hard to go wrong. They've got fine and delicate (the super thin gold bands are on my wish list, $80), they've got baubles, they've got dramatic flair, signature pieces, strands, earrings, any kind of jewelry you might imagine, finely curated down to only the best pieces. There's a wide range at a very doable price point. Many different local designers, all displayed in a quaint little shop on the main stretch. No excuses, do not shop at Niemann's, at least hit this up first! One stop local jewelry shopping in Williamsburg, if you'd like to impress...I suggest giving it a serious shot. This is my first time ever writing a review on a business. Love the great selection, perfect for finding a thoughtful gift for your special one! Really delicate and beautiful jewelry. And a good selection of well known artist as well. The thing I love about this place is the sales persons who are very helpful and never pushy. They give you space to look around but always ready to answer your questions. I would recommend everyone to explore this exquisite jewelry collection! A perfect place to stop by. Btw I bought 2 beautiful rings and a necklace. :)) read more

Norbu is a lovely little jewelry shop that I discoveredhile walking through the heart of bustling Williamsburg. It's an eclectic mix of bangles, necklaces, earrings and worth taking a peek. I ended up buying a gold love knot with a chain for $62 and had a note which read: "Love is two people tangled in the best possible way." I wear it almost everyday and its a wonderful way to remember our time in New York. Yelp 365 Challenge: #284/365 (The Love Knot) read more

The 3 female employees working there on a weekday night ignored customers. They didn't welcome me nor the other unrelated customers into the shop upon entering. While browsing cases throughout the store, an employee moved out of my way. She didn't ask if I needed any help or suggestions, she simply stepped to the side like I was in her way. Feeling ignored at a small boutique on a slow evening is a sure way to lose my interest. I spent some time looking over curated pieces, but eventually walked out empty handed. read more

Love the jewelry in this place. If you are looking for dainty, delicate jewelry, then come here. Although most of the stuff is gold plated but it's not to expensive so you can always get a couple of pairs in case you lose one. The staff are really nice and friendly. The shop has lots of various styles for earrings, rings, necklaces that are classic and on trend. I purchased a small gold hoop here because I lost one and it was gold plated, $10. So glad I was able to find a replacement. read more

I found this place a while back while jogging, I needed to get a gift for my friend and wasn't sure what to get her. I ran into this place and figured maybe a necklace or bracelet will be perfect. I believe i spent over an hour in the store, everything is so beautiful, the pieces are so intricate. They have everything from small chains, to long chains, to layered chains, bracelets, pins, earrings clips, etc. I got my friend the wish bracelet and every since then I get all my friends a wish bracelet and they love it. The price ranges from $42-$60 but it is worth it. All my friends love it. read more

Lovely jewerly store... dainty and unique pieces! If you are ever in the area, you need to go inside! Needed one of my bracelets repaired... so I dropped it off, but couldn't get to the store to pick it up before they closed in evenings because of work. They were so kind and generous to repair it and mail it to me free of charge! Great customer service! read more

Very nice jewelry but they didnt have rings that i liked in my size and apparently cant order them either which was disappointing

It was my brothers 7th wedding anniversary and he wanted to give his wife a very special piece of gift We went in to this shop and I was amazed on how they offer great pimping on your jewelry although it was a bit expensive, but since they crafted it to your desire, price and quality seems to be fair enough. But i got to say the output was really GOOD! Thumbs up! read more

This is a really cute jewelry boutique. It has a very eclectic collection of jewelry which I think is reasonably priced. The girl working in there the evening my friend and I stopped in was very nice and helpful. I will definitely go back and tell my friends about this store as well. If you are in the Williamsburg area you must stop in! read more

I couldn't resist going in, and so glad I did! They have a huge selection of (mostly delicate) jewelry; each display case is carefully packed full of some really beautiful pieces. I think they're loosely grouped based on certain stone/metal combinations and by designer. If you like jewelry, you could easily spend an hour or two browsing here. The girl who helped me was lovely and extremely patient as I tried on about 10 rings. I ended up purchasing one in the right size, but the stone was a different shape than I originally wanted. I love the ring, but I wish they had multiple sizes of each ring in stock! read more

A store you must check out, do not pass, go in and slowly look. There's a lot of wonderful jewelry so take your time when looking, then walk around some more. That was my strategy and it paid off as I found several pieces to look at. The young lady in the store was very knowledgeable and shared her knowledge about any piece I asked about. The prices were appropriate. Let's just say that I did not leave empty handed! read more

Such a beautifully curated collection!! So many different gems and pieces. Glad I stumbled upon this place, I almost spent a whole hour here. read more

I went to this shop to exchange my friend's $65 mood looking ring, for something else, woman at counter looked obviously peeved. I exchanged it for a box that was $45, she gave me back $10 credit on card and this isnt the first time they short me. read more

My sister purchased a pair of earrings here 3 months ago and sadly one of the gems fell out. We went back to Norbu to ask about replacing them and the saleswoman was very rude and refused to exchange. When we questioned the quality of the jewelry she said she did not stand by it- confirming that this jewelry is not on par to the price you're paying for it!! Save your money and shop with a store that stands by their product. read more

My go-to spot for jewelry gifts. The price range is absolutely perfect, and they carry both classic designs and unique pieces. I especially love their art deco wood collection. I always love stopping into Norbu to pick up a gift for a friend, and they came through this holiday season with a necklace for my mother-in-law. The salespeople are always kind and happy to help but let you browse on your own. Thank you, Norbu! read more

I was in the neighborhood walking down the street when I saw this store. the window was absolutely adorable, I had to go in. This store is sooo cute, small but really cute. The jewelry was unique and beautiful. they also had little decoration pieces and napkin rings. I would have given this place 5/5 stars but it is pricey. so i didn't get anything, but will definitely come by and look because that's all I can afford!! read more

Horrible customer service. I walked into their empty store right before the holidays and was totally ignored by the two women at the register who were talking to each other. They continued to ignore me even after I asked them a question and received a terse reply. I had to practically beg them to help me. And the attitude, even then, was completely snooty--as if I were bothering them. There are so many nice jewelry stores in the neighborhood with wonderful attentive customer service (e.g,, Catbird, Mociun) and fantastic jewelry--why would anyone go to this cold soulless store? read more

Love this place! A friend that lives in New York brought me in while I was visiting. I bought a beautiful ring and couple of candles. Wish I could give this place a 10 star. The best thing in the store is there is a price point and style for literally everyone.I can't say enough good things about this place. Great and helpful service and yet not pushy at all. I will definitely go back and shop. read more
