Buyer Beware Booked a first time appointment with a master stylist because I have coarse, thick, curly, short hair. I'm very cautious about my hair because I've had it messed up so many times. When I booked my appointment, I explained WHY I needed a master stylist and explained the exact style and cut I wanted in great detail. Day of appt: I walk in and am introduced to someone who isn't who I booked the appt with as my stylist. This isn't told to me prior or upfront; they wait until I'm in the chair. The master stylist got stranded at an airport flying in. No problem, I say. I begin to explain what I'm looking for. I'm told then that this girl is doing my color, but they're having a student do my cut. This makes me very nervous. I don't want to make a fuss because they're extremely friendly. If I'm feeling anxious, I think, I can always say just forget the cut after my color. The problem was I never got my full color appointment either. After the color was applied, the girl rushed to another client, and left the student to rinse my hair and sit me back in the chair. Student asked if I liked my color, to which I replied, "I can't really tell because its wet". " Is it going to need toned?" At this point in the service it was pretty evident to me that they are only really concerned with slamming in as many people as they can into the book to compensate for the missing stylist, when they should have just cancelled her clients for the day. They seemed annoyed at my questions. Then the student jumped into my cut. She was sweet but visibly nervous. I asked her to barely trim what I had (length to my collarbone) and cut in on diagonal/ layer at random for my curl pattern. I just wanted it a little cleaned up and shaped. She cut it horizontally (straight across) and chin length with section layers (a mom/ news anchor bob). The cut wasn't awful, but awful for me & my curly hair. Everything I specifically said I didn't want. She put scrunch gel on it, rushed me out of the seat, and sent me on my way with wet hair. I waited for my boyfriend at a nearby restaurant, who was also patroning the salon, while it dried. By the time it dried it was evident that I had just had a pretty awful salon experience and my hair was looking more like an oompa loompa 'do then a kylie jenner lob. I walked back and asked to talk to the manager. She offered to fully refund me and redo my cut with the owner for free. That would have been ok, but my hair is so short there was no way to fix it. So I simply asked for refund and said I would consider coming back to take up the offer when I had availability. I was super grateful and chalked it up to things happen and its just hair. I walked in a day later to claim my refund after cc processing had issues. The girl at the desk was rude, indignant, and extremely unhelpful. I explained who I was and that I had spoken to the manager. I suggested maybe there was a note, and that I had a voicemail on my phone from the manager from that morning confirming this info if she would like to hear it. She said the manager wasn't there, didn't offer any alternatives, and was visibly annoyed. I asked if there was anyway I could know the manager's schedule, to which she told me she had no clue. (Ok?) She eventually offered to call the manager & after handed me a portion of what I paid & abruptly said goodbye. Never even tried to rebook me. I initially walked out with the petty cash, but then walked back in after I played the voicemail twice to make sure I heard the manager correct in the voicemail. She said full refund. Please note: Had I not been offered a full refund, I would have respectfully declined and walked away and never looked back. I don't care about $35 at all. It was about the principle and the business etiquette, not the money. I have no problem shelling out money and compensating people for their hard earned time. If the master stylist had messed up my cut, I still wouldn't have complained. It was a bad cut, AND it's how my service was handled that prompted me to say something and in turn be open for a refund and redo. When I explained that I received a different amount than I had been told, every girl in the place copped an attitude trying to get me to leave quickly. The manager (IMO the only professional there) was put back on the phone again and apologized and gave me a full refund, but it was still the last straw for me. I'm writing a bad review because all around- from being sneaky and not telling me upfront about the stylist change (from master to a student when I requested a master specifically) , to rushing my service, to the bad cut, to the terrible attitudes, this was poor business practice and a poor end result with my finished style. I don't care about how "nice" and swanky you are, its about integrity as a business and the quality of your work. I'll be trying to hide my hair until I can get my hair corrected by a trust worthy professional. read more

I love this salon it is the best salon I have ever been to!!! Wade is a genius with color and cuts and Leyanis gives the best wash and blow dry that can put you to sleep its so gentle and relaxing. Taylor the front manager is always so welcoming and knowledgable about the products and processes it's so refreshing and helpful! I just got the BEST PEDICURE EVER BY Crystal while my color was processing. The products are all natural and instead of having white nails after the old polish was removed my nails were their natural color which I haven't seen since before I ever had my first pedicure. The product felt like a fine lotion! The bowl is very sanitary because there are not jets there are hot stones, scents and rose petals in the water-talk about a treat! It didn't end there the clay mask they use on your feet and legs feels like butter and your skin feels amazing when you are done. The polish is really pretty and different and you can just see an feel the quality! Treat yourself trust me you will be sooooo happy that you did!!! They have a customer for life now read more

I stopped at the Salon on a whim needing a complete color redo for new gray growth and dull flat color. Fortunately they had a cancellation and I was able to get in the same day. My appointment was with Jazmine and she was amazing! I went in from directly from playing golf and my hair was a mess....frizzy, rained on, hat head etc...having dark hair going gray is tough and she was a mind reader at what I wanted to achieve. A few hours later I walked out with fresh, highlighted, retouched color, minimal trim to bangs and sides. I was going to get a new cut but was she and I both agreed that it could wait. When I got home I had to get ready for dinner in about 15 minutes. After a quick shower (of course not getting my new hair wet) I got dressed and my husband was like WOW! Well that was worth getting ready for dinner quickly. I will defiantly be visiting Jazmine and Artistry for my new go to salon while in Estero, which will be after several years my snowbird home this winter! Thank you Jazmine! read more

The service at Artistry Salon is absolutely next level... and I got a good hairstyle too. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted with smiles galore. I was given a short wait time but the expectations set were perfect. It's a short distance from a variety of my favorite stores in coconut point so I was able to entertain myself for about 15 minutes before my visit. When I returned, I was warmly welcomed back in and introduced to Willow who was funny, knowledgeable and really easy to talk and relate to (she was even working on her birthday, that's dedication imo). In addition to being personable, she did an amazing job on my new hairstyle. As if that wasn't enough, I received a follow up call the next day to ensure I was satisfied with my hair and even received a post card a couple days later thanking me for my business. Having recently relocated to SW FL I needed to find a new salon and stylist. I had grown my hair longer than normal for my son's wedding so I could wear it up. I couldn't wait to get a new and updated style and began my search. I found Artistry online and chose to make an appointment due to the content of their website and the excellent reviews on Yelp. I told them I wanted a senior stylist and was recommended to Ali. I was not disappointed! I had an outstanding experience at the salon from the moment I walked through the door. The reception was warm and very professional. Ali had a consultation with me about what I was thinking and made recommendations. She gave me an exceptional cut and style and I feel like a new person. Gabi was phenomenal! A previous stylist (not from artistry salon) had butchered my last hair cut and it had been months since I was brave enough to set foot in another salon, scared to let anyone touch my hair again. Gabi looked at the mess my hair was and knew exactly what to do to fix it, gave me the run down and went to town! She gave the best scalp massage and haircut I might have ever had in my life! I walked out of artistry salon feeling confident and beautiful about the way I looked (something I hadn't had for a few months). All the staff were super friendly and if you decide to go here, you MUST try the cucumber-basil water... It's amazing! Artistry Salon is top notch. The staff are all incredibly professional and customer service is impeccable. I followed my stylist, Rebecca, from another salon and trust that if she went to a high end salon that is going to treat her right, then they'll treat me right. I have had all services done at Artistry and am highly impressed by their professional knowledge and applications. No services or products have ever been forced on me - yet I love the products that they carry so much that I end up always walking out with something. I had the best experience here! I came for a cut/all over highlighting and JoJo was fantastic I definitely recommend asking for her or her friend Ali! Both are accommodating and professional as well as lovely to have taking care of your head. You definitely did not have to worry about having your hair messed up, JoJo went over exactly what I wanted making sure it was done to perfection. I received so many compliments on my hair, and I could not be more pleased with it! They also use high quality and natural products on your hair a hard to find luxury in most salons especially if you have sensitive skin as I do. I got my hair done my Lisa and she was amazing, i had a consultation and then went in the next week for my cut and color done. Lisa was very accommodating to me and my hair which to say the least doesn't like being styled or cut or colored. But Lisa did the most amazing job and she listened to what i wanted and made suggestions to make my idea even better, i also let her do what she wanted with my undercut and she blew it out of the water! The staff is also very friendly and attentive, all of them came by at least twice to see how i was doing or to come look at what was happening on my head. I just started staying in Estero for the winter months and was not looking forward to finding a hair stylist. I didn't think anyone could color and cut my hair like my stylist up north. (I have short hair that is colored with foil highlights.) Shelby at The Artistry Salon has been my answer. The salon is very nice and modern and they make you feel very welcome - not intimidated. She took a lot of time with me to understand what I was looking for in my color and cut. I have been really pleased with the results and am back for my second appointment. MK is awesome! I came to this salon after a recommendation from a friend when I was quoted an astronomical price at another salon. The prices were fair and I liked how they were clearly mapped out for you and agreed upon before even starting the service. I got a cut, color, style, and hair treatment for $250 and it was worth every single penny! I highly recommend this salon and especially MK if you are looking for fresh hair! I have used 2 of the stylists and was pleased with both. The owner is a master stylist and director for educator for aced a salons. The product line is incredible with certified organic ingredients. I've been to this salon 2 or 3 times & I've always left satisfied. Rachel did my color back in June and I'm still in love with it. This week, Willow gave me the cutest cut & style while still managing to keep a lot of my length. Plus, the scalp massage was super relaxing. Courtney was great. I am not usually a talker when I go to the salon and often get a little annoyed when stylist get overly personal by asking really personal questions. I feel like Courtney did a great job feeling that out. She was very nice and talked to me, but not to the point to where I felt uncomfortable. Also, most importantly, my hair looks awesome!
