I asked for a point cut to even our my hair. I asked for dry cut. After I got home and shampooed my hair the next day, I saw how bad the cut was. Literally pick up a chunk of hair and half was blunt cut really short while the rest was 1/2 inch longer and not blunt cut. Short hair is not that hard. I paid $60 plus $15 tip and it looks terrible, They called and told me someone else could "fix it" but I should have just asked for a refund. Well, Artistry Salon which was initially great, began deteriorating so much that I decided enough was enough. Three times I made the trek from Naples to Estero only to be told that my scheduled hairdresser called in sick and finally she resigned. They are so disorganized, they book back to back so there is never another hairdresser free to accommodate a stranded client. Artistry is too expensive to have disgruntled employees who give bad haircuts. It's many months later and I'm still struggling to get my hair back to normal. The hairdresser had no idea how to properly layer hair leaving my with a lopsided cut. So it worked out for me in the end because I found a much better salon closer to home. read more

second time here and this place is a disgrace! First time a while back I went and I left looking like a lamb! My hair was half wet and I left and didn't say anything paid the price they asked and left. Fast forward I decided to try it again since it is so close to me. I was quoted over the phone 50 dollars which is expensive especially for the area. I am coming from NY and top salons charge 35-40. I still said okay and continued to book the appointment. I showed up and the girl put a bunch of products in my hair which made my hair stiff like straw. Than I told her what my other hair stylist does so it would be easier for her however she didn't listen. I have short hair and it took her and hour and half do blow out my hair yet I still left with damp stiff freeze hair. Once she was done blowing out me hair she told me to flat iron it it would be ten dollars extra. Usually they include that in price and if they don't they should tell you this prior. I called today to express my dissatisfaction and the owner was so rude with the worst customer service I ever encountered. Instead of apologizing offering either to fix my hair or give me a refund she told me I wasn't welcome there and tell lies to excuse how horrible it came out such as I didn't let the girl out anti frizz products in my hair and I said yes I did check your cameras! She refused!she also said I could have got a 30 dollar blow out yet that was never offered to me over the phone. They are con artist and change prices on you so beware! If you don't want to waste your money do not go here! They don't stand by their satisfactory of their customers and will blame their customers for the lack of experienced hair stylist. Perfect example of a place that made their place fancy and think they can charge whatever with out delivering quality work! In response to the owner as you can see how she responded you can see how unprofessional she is. She is blaming the customer for the lack of experience stylist she has. Notice she mentioned the price change depending on time of day stylist etc they are con artist at this place! This is the type of owner who has her friends, family and employees write reviews to counter the bad ones because if you look there are a lot of bad ones! She says she never responds to reviews but go look at her google reviews she responds every time to the bad ones in the same manor. Never their fault always customers if you wanna go to a business with that mentality good luck! I went to another salon next day and they blew out my hair in 40 mins including wash and blow for 35 dollars! They did an amazing job and customer service was amazing. Do not waste your money by going to this inexperienced salon with high prices and the worst customer service I ever experienced! As you can see by the picture I posted do you think that was a blow out appropriate for 60 dollars? Do you think as an owner of a business a customer isn't happy you should either offer to fix it or refund? I'm new to the area and looked for a new place to get my hair done. I made an appointment here and sat in a chair for almost an hour with no one touching my hair. The stylist was asking her peers how to do my hair, I could hear her, and told me she has never done a balayage. I even was like, okay, I can just get highlights. But after sitting for 45 minutes in her chair while she went back and forth with her coworkers, my gut told me I needed to leave. I'm never going to pay what they charge to wait that long with someone that had no idea what she was doing. I'm very disappointed. The owner did try to fix the issue to reschedule with someone else, but at that point I just wanted my $75 deposit refund and to go elsewhere. read more

I used to love this salon but Ive been really disappointed with my hair these past few times and I'm now trying to find a new salon for color correction because I can't stand to look at my hair. My highlights are chunky stripes and not at all blended...it seems really unprofessional for the cost they are asking you to pay and 5 hours spent at the salon to do the bare minimum job with really no expertise in the color work at the end of the day. First time at Artistry. Found it via yelp and was extremely pleased. Called at last minute to see if I could get an afternoon appt and was accommodated. The front desk staff greeted me as if I was a regular customer and I was promptly introduced to Alli. She consulted with me for a few minutes before giving me a scalp massage. She then gave me a great haircut. Alli is extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I was in desire need of a touch up on my hair color, in between my highlights I had before I came down here for the winter. I am very unhappy with the color the stylist used on my roots. I have a gray in the root area and she used 30 volume peroxide and bleached out the color all together. My roots are lighter than my hair! I felt everyone was friendly but all they do is sell their products from the time you walk in the door until they escort you out. I am not sure the stylist had been at this salon for very long. She had to converse with others on mixing the color and how to use the heat lamp, which I never had before to lift color. Not happy, can't wait to get it repaired when I go back up north. I had a frustrating experience at this salon. I booked a hairstyling appointment to get some curls for a wedding later that day. To their credit, the staff is really friendly and still accommodated me when I ran 15 minutes late. I have shoulder length hair and asked for curls. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted. The stylist said she'd do tighter curls so they'd loosen during the night. One hour and 45 minutes later I left because I was running out of time. Most of the curls were barely curls at all and some stuck straight down. The amount of product in my hair made everything stiff and look like I had half the hair I did. I had to fix it when I got to the hotel. It was a complete waste of time and money. read more

I called and spoke to Kylie ( sorry for the spelling). She was so pleasant and ready to help me. I was in the mall where they are located so she had me stop by so they the stylist, Raina, so she could look at my hair and see what I wanted done. I was so impressed with the attention to detail and was thrilled that they could fit me in the next day. The level of service I received was second to none. Raina was an artist and a very skilled stylist. I went from a heavy mop of over grown hair, to a short sassy "Haley Berry" style with a fresh color. I could not be happier. I am a repeat customer of the Artistry hair salon. I booked a service for cut and color. After a consultation with my stylist she recommended to do balayage since this was "more natural". I agreed, well aware of the $$$. After she was done coloring and blow drying my hair it was much later as anticipated (6:30). I suggested to reschedule the cut for next week since I had other arrangements. She replied "this will literally take me only 10 minutes". That should have made me think twice. She proceeded to cut my DRY hair and style all in 10 minutes tops. The result; chunky bright highlights starting about 2 inches from my roots with an uneven cut. This was nowhere near natural nor blended with my hair color as balayage should be. I went back the next day to have it "fixed", which had to be done with the same stylist. I spoke to the manager and she reassured me they would take care of it, which was not the case. My stylist added some low lights and quickly added some layers on the left. According to the manager, if I wanted the highlights placed at a different area it would be an additional charge. I was shampood by someone who was in training and rinsed with cold water. My hair was not blow dried nor styled as this would be an additional charge. I left the salon with wet hair, looking like I had gone to Supercuts but paid $$$. read more

My experience here was mixed. 5 stars goes to the stylist, Emily. She did her best in a bad situation and even though the color wasn't what I wanted (will explain later), it was a fantastic color job and cut. She is experienced, friendly and does a great job. The hand massage during the shampoo was divine. The place is pretty and relaxing. 3 stars goes to the procedures which created my experience there. I called with very specific details that I needed a foil weave. The appointment setter and I talked through what I needed and I got off the phone not feeling like there would be any issues. That was more of an intake than I ever give booking a hair appointment and we seemed to understand each other. When I arrived, it turns out the appointment setter made the appointment for a "root touch up" which apparently wasn't going to allow any time for the stylist to give me the service I actually wanted nor the color, even though she booked time for a "consult" as well. I had to select an in-between color to "get me by and then we can do the weave next time." I am not used to a stylist that isn't able to flex at all on time to accommodate a customer, especially when it was a salon mistake. I would've even been willing to stay longer to get what I actually wanted. But the stylist had a stack of appointment slips and let me know there wasn't time for that today. She was apologetic and regretful, but no alternative solutions were offered. I wasn't offered a discount or any other accommodation by the salon. I used to own a day spa and I understand the scheduling challenges a place like this faces, but I didn't feel like the customer was first in this scenario at all. read more

I called the salon and explained I had a stroke a few months ago & needed someone that knew how to tease hair so it would last a few days. They assured me that was not a problem. When I arrived my stylist Emily was running 30 minutes late so they switched me to Jasmine another master stylist, I asked if she knew how to tease hair & they assured me no problem. I asked her if she was going to use a curling iron and she said yes but she did not have one & had to borrow one. It took her forever to use the curling iron which made me very nervous. I told her I need a lot of product in my hair to give it body so it would last, I also suggested she spray it as she was teasing it to help it stay in. She said that would only weigh it down and make it flat but she did spray it. It took her forever to tease it (something I could've done in five minutes before my stroke) and it took her forever with little results! She tried to do what I wanted but obviously this was not something she had a clue how to accomplish! It took an hour instead of 30 minutes and it looked "okay" but I knew by morning my hair would be flat, it was flat by end of evening! To add insult to injury they charged me $65 for a wash and set! The website said that would be $42, I'm sure it was because it took her an hour for something that takes any other hairdresser i've gone to 30 minutes. She obviously didn't know how to do what I had asked for! To be disappointed in the results and to pay Top Dollar on top of it made me a very unhappy customer. I wish they would have told me they didn't have my type of hairdresser available and I could have gone elsewhere! Bad experience! read more
