My mother , who is 74 years old btw , a sweet women who doesn't bother anyone frequents this particular store and spends about 400 on month on nutrifol alone for herself and my father . Usually never has a problem . So ROBBY , has been very unpleasant with her before ,on a recent visit my mom used her credit and it was declined ! ROBBY instead of being a gentleman was extremely nasty and embarrassed my mother in front of the line holding the card up saying it was declined ! My poor mother pulled out another card and went about her business . Called the CC company after and there was NOTHING wrong with the card , Sephora could have called the cc company to verify and did not bc I guess ROBBY was ready to leave because this was right before closing . Thank goodness that I had my daughter in the car or I would have went right in there and told ROBBY to try and embarrass me like he did my poor mother . This ASSHOLE should be working the grill at Arby's with his shit attitude . Do not recommend going here . Sephora...Coconut Point (Estero, FL) - you're down to two strikes and it doesn't take a genius to know what happens if you make three. If you are going to offer a rewards program, you need to honor what your customers earn. Once again, I was not able to utilize my current rewards and this is the 2nd time this has happened. The register at check-out verified the above mentioned, and again the register would not apply the rewards which expires in less than 30-days. The gal checking me out said " many customers have experienced the same thing." I asked what steps were being taken to rectify the situation not just for me, but obviously your other customers who have experienced the same. The gal just shrugged her shoulders...not the best reaction to a customer service problem with your company's bank. Nearly a year ago I wasn't able to use my Sephora card. Nearly 10 calls later to customer service and being told there was a problem with my zip code and 5 times told a new card would be expedited...guess what it never arrived. Guess what...I have lived at the same zip code for which my card was sent! You truly have a customer experience issue...I'm willing to guess I'm not the only customer with similar frustrations. You're up to bat Sephora...what are you going to do? Swing again and hope you don't get that 3rd and final strike? Are you going to get your executives together....not for morning coffee and Danish, and put your customers first...and rectify the problems to maintain your customers? Sephora is not the only option...you have competition! I await a response from you however I'm not very optimistic. My frustrations should not be considered as the consequences for doing business. I just try to grab what I need and go. My trips to this Sephora is synonymous to my experience at Rite Aid, only I don't have to worry about the staff there. Apart from limited product availability at this store, managerial behavior is completely ill-equipped. Seriously consider investing in ways for your customer-facing staff to add more value to store visits. And so the story goes; I asked to return a gently used item that caused an allergic reaction. Since I was only days over the return threshold they did not want to accept it. The first representative, Marina gave me an attitude and pushed it away before even scanning to see if the return would pull up. I had to call a supervisor who told me to go back in the store and ask for a manager as I was still eligible for the return (store credit) since it was originally purchased in store. They had previously extended their policies due to Covid, and was still covered due to their temporary grace period & flexibility given the current state of things. They called up the store director, Jenny C. (you know the kind: young, uninformed, enjoying a power trip like she's Jean-Andre Rougeot). After explaining my previous conversation with the supervisor to Jenny I asked her to return the item. She was immediately defensive and started berating me about my return. Needless to say, she wrongfully discriminated and refused to complete the transaction, for some unknown reason. How sad is that? Yet she was unable to effectively communicate her reasoning. Although I was calm expressing my frustrations I was not treated like a customer. She then decided that she was done with me and walked away, discarding my presence; still unable to address the core issue of the situation. After filing a formal grievance, it appears there is a lot being orchestrated behind the scenes and trimming of the fat now that corporate is involved. Jenny is apart of the problem at this store and would benefit from receiving managerial coaching including, escalations. It's extremely hard to believe she's been in management for "years." One can only assume she got her current position by the means of the Dilbert Principle. She is obviously not equipped nor competent to work with consumers in a leadership role. The silver lining here, was the pleasant supervisor I spoke to who happily compensated me and added Beauty Insider points back to my account. No questions asked. Next time there's a similar situation I hope they're all able to reflect on this lesson, and know that there IS a positive resolution that could have been resolved IN store. Now this takes true leadership, but most importantly it's about the principle here-not the store credit! For whatever reason, Jenny chose to discriminate that day instead of complying with the supervisor to accept a return. I hope this experience is a learning point and an opportunity for future growth to do the right thing. So, next time I'm at this store, I'm hopeful to see her interacting with others like a store director should, in true Sephora culture. Aloha! read more

I typically love Sephora, so if course I trust them and their workers. 4 days ago I got shade matched by an employee and she gave me a box of the foundation to purchase. I purchased that $58 foundation and I got home and went to use it, and it was empty. For some reason, they gave me a used and empty foundation box. I returned to the store with my receipt and everyone including the manager refused to help me.... even though it was not my fault I was given an empty bottle in a box. I was told "you should check the box before you buy a product". I immediately called the 1-877 number and spoke to a representative who gave me advice saying to talk to the manager or district manager so that they can somehow accommodate me. However, the manager just told me "sorry, love" and that was it. So basically, I threw away $58 on bad customer service. I will no longer shop at Sephora (or at least this location). I couldn't decide between a few items so she was very kind to make up a sample for me to try at home. God, I love this store. This one was clean (they all are really) and the girls were really helpful. What I needed was discontinued but they have so much other similar stuff to choose from. Great selection of everything beauty related. Even hubby loves it here and we were able to pick up his fave toner for men. Not only women love to shop here! No line ups tonight (Mon) and no crowds to fight to browse. My rewards card is proving to be quite rewarding these days and I walked away with a little primer tester for 100 points. Mini-score. While shopping this afternoon, I remembered that my girlfriend has a Sephora gift list, so hey, great gift opportunity! Stop in, pick up an item or two, and be on my way! Not so much. When I walked in, a couple of steps behind two women who were also there to shop, there were two employees (wearing the black Sephora smocks) in the center of the store. The employees (who's names I did not get, alas) asked the women what they could do to help, were they looking for something specific, etc. I was ignored. Even after the women in front of me were assisted (hey, fair enough, I might be with one of them). So, I walked up to the employees (who were now engaged in conversation with each other), and asked for help finding something off of my girlfriend's wish list. What I got was a sigh, a roll of the eyes, a hair flip, and "Did you print it out?" "Well, no, I wasn't expecting to be here today. So I was kind of thinking you might have access to it, being a Sephora store, and it being a Sephora wish list." "We can't access it here," she snipped "you'll need to print it out and come back." And then began to turn back to her conversation. "Uhh... perhaps you could help me pick something out?" "I don't know what she looks like," she sneered "so I can't really recommend any makeup for her." For the record, I do have a photo of my girlfriend in my wallet, and could easily describe her complexion and hair/skin color, enough to at least get a basic idea of what she looks like. That should be enough for a jumping-off point, right? But, being brushed off by the employees, I wandered the store, lost for a moment, and then left, not having purchased anything. If this is the kind of customer service that one can expect in Sephora, expect that I'll be shopping at Bath and Body Works, next door. read more

I absolutely die for Sephora in Coconut Point (tip for the Makeup lover...there is a MAC a few steps away in Dillard's!). The women (and man) who work there are super nice and helpful. They always make up samples for me of anything at all (I usually pick the most expensive products). While the prices can be high, the quality is amazing. I love the Sephora line-the moisturizer and makeup removing wipes are great. I also recommend Urban Decay makeup setting spray-works in humid summer in Florida so it will work anywhere! If you look through the brushes and the sephora lip and eye products you will always find a hot find for a steal! Skip the stuff at the front counter...it can be tempting to throw something in your basket at the last minute, but the travel sizes are usually over priced and buying the full size product is a much better deal! One thing I will say to Sephora company (not the one in Coconut)...BRING BACK DUWOP! I miss their lip venom and Foundation of Youth! read more

Had some time to kill before our dinner reservation and needed new foundation. Sephora was right around the corner so even though I'm usually an Ulta loyalist, I figured I might as well seize the opportunity. We were immediately greeted and asked if help was needed. Yes! It was! They don't carry my usual foundation so I told them what I was looking for and she pointed me in the right direction, then suggested I get color matched. That turned into an AMAZING full face makeover by the wonderful Fabi. We were in a hurry due to the previously mentioned reservations and she still totally nailed my makeup. I went for foundation and happily left with $150 worth of her recommended products. I only wish I lived in the area so I could visit her more frequently! read more

I love sephora however I did not love this sephora. I felt rushed by the employees because they kept asking me if I needed anything when repeatedly to the same employees I said I was just looking. I have worked retail before and i understand that not only do you need to great people but you also need to help them by asking if they need help, yet I also know that if a customer says they are just looking, you leave them be. I was going to buy a Marc Jacobs bronzer and primer however due to how disappointing my experience was I will be going somewhere else to buy those things. Instead I just got a sephora hair mask because I was over it with all the questions and being rushed. I absolutely love Sephora and the products they have to offer, but the three times I have come to this store in Coconut Point and all three times I have dealt with extremely rude and unprofessional clerks, and even had one insult me and my skin tone. Every time I try to give this store another chance, I leave severely disappointed at the "customer service" they offer. Corporate needs to look into the people they are hiring, or make them do mandatory workshops on how to treat their clientele. The worst customer service I've ever experienced at a Sephora. I loved my Sephora store back in Denver. Everyone there was so helpful and knowledgeable. This store is the exact opposite. I went in to buy all new face makeup. The First Lady that color matched me would not allow me to try anything other than what her tool suggested even though I told her that is never accurate on me. The makeup she put on turned orange after 5 minutes. I also asked her about a specific contour palette by urban decay and was told they don't have anything like that. I found it 5 minutes later. After looking on my own for 20 minutes for foundations, she had left and no one was offering to help. When I finally asked the manager to help I was told to wait another 10 minutes. While the next girl was more helpful with color matching when I asked her about a good highlight/contour palette she told me "I don't really wear that stuff". I don't care if you don't wear it's your job to know what you carry in the store! Once again she left the minute she finished with me without asking if i needed help with anything else. She also failed to show me products i asked about. Why was the entire staff being let off between 4 and 5:00 on a Sunday? (Store is open until 6). At my old store there was always someone around to ask a quick opinion of. No one I encountered at this store seemed to have any makeup knowledge or experience. At this point I feel better off ordering things online and taking them back if they don't work. I wouldn't plan on getting any decent help from this store. read more

Their facial expressions & body language says it all. I also had two employees coyly following & watching me like I was going to steal something. My outfit today including accessories probably cost more than your car ladies. People spend a lot of money in this store including me, one would think they would be a tad more inviting & friendly? Tip: Sephora management please send your girls to a good customer service class, they need it. Very disappointed in my experience at this location. I looked forward to taking my daughter to Sephora for a foundation color match and the usual great customer service that they provide. This was the exact opposite experience. The store was quite busy, but there were 4 associates scurrying around, none of whom seemed to be assisting customers. After waiting by a display for 10 minutes, I approached one associate to ask if I could get an SA to assist with a color match for new foundation for my daughter. She said she couldn't help me, but did call someone on the headset. They joined my daughter and I near the register and inquired "what are you looking for?". I told her about my daughters skin care routine, what she was wearing and what we were looking for in a foundation. She went to the closest display, grabbed about 4 colors and squirted them on her wrist and went about trying the colors on my daughter. Didn't take us to a station, offer a mirror, clean her face or anything. She was rushed, did not inquire about any preparation or application techniques, didn't offer any other products or even ask if we wanted to try another brand before she pointed to the color she thought was a best match and walked away. She never once asked if she could assist with anything else. I then walked my daughter around searching for setting powder and concealer. The checkout process was simple, but unenthusiastic on the SA's part, it just so happens the same SA that "assisted" us also checked us out. This was the most disappointing Sephora experience I have ever encountered. read more

I've been going to this Sephora since I was sixteen. Back then, I was not at all confident and looked at makeup as an overwhelming thing that I could never figure out. These employees, these people, these amazing human beings have seen me grow not only in age but in confidence and talent with makeup. This store isn't a normal Sephora; I've been to quite a few Sephora's in the past two years and none of them even come close to this one. These people aren't just employees to me; they are my confidants and my friends. I can speak with full confidence that this Sephora is the best I have ever been in. Being a girl, how can you not instantly love sephora?? It's basically heaven. They have wide selection of brands, and the employees are always wiling to help if you have any questions at all. The store itself is clean, and a decent size. There's also a lot of products that have testers and they have testing stations where you can try on any product you're interested in. read more

Sephora is a good store, but the employees at this particular store are horrible. A few years ago I went to the Boca Raton location to replace my broken flat iron. As I was purchasing the new one I mentioned to the girl at the cash register that mine had broken. She told me that I didn't have to buy a new one, to bring the old one back and they would replace it for free. So, I did just that and decided since it was such a great policy I would splurge on a 250 dollar T3 blow dryer. They told me if I had any problems in the future with anything I bought there that they would gladly replace it. Surprisingly, Boca has better customer service standards. They treated me at the Estero location like I was trying to scam them for simply doing what I was told I could do. The girl Megan with pink hair was helpful at first and went and got the replacement blow dryer. Everything seemed fine until she looked at the receipt and said it was 3 years old (I owned my flat iron 4 years and they returned it) and then she kept saying I can't exchange it because it's missing an attachment. So then it wasn't about the date, it was about the missing attachment?! This went on for a while until she finally exchanged it, as I was told by the employee at the store I originally bought it from they would, but it was such a hassle. I had one other item to return which was unopened, I had the receipt and was well within their normal product return time line. She had the nerve to tell me that she flagged me in their system and showed me a little piece of paper stating that for the next year I can't return or exchange at Sephora. She treated me as if I am a criminal. I will no longer be a Sephora customer and recommend shopping at Nordstrom, which carries many of the same items and has amazing customer service. read more

I was visiting from New York and needed to pick up some makeup before a wedding rehearsal and had very limited time. I am also Vegan so my brand choices are more limited as many beauty products either contain animal products or are tested on animals . Let me just say, I had the best makeover that I have ever had. RACIALLY PROFILES AND ACCUSES AFRICAN AMERICAN CUSTOMERS OF STEALING!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE. If I could give this store 0 stars, I WOULD. On May 14, 2015 I decided to stop by Sephora at Coconut Point before meeting my significant other at Ruth's Chris for dinner. I was running low on my purity face wash (Philosophy) and decided to stop by to purchase another bottle and browse around the store for a few minutes. I walked right to the back of the store as I frequent this store often. I saw a gift set on the Philosophy display, however the items that were in the box were not on display. I was interested in seeing the actual size of the items in the gift set and picked up the box and simply opened the top (there was no seal or anything preventing the box from being opened). Plus, the last time I checked, it's not uncommon or against the law to check items in a box that are on display for anyone to purchase and without a seal to make sure all of the correct items are in the box. At that point, an associate named Meaghan approached me. She got extremely close to me and asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. I began to feel very uncomfortable and I told her no, I was just browsing. After informing Meaghan I did not need any help she very disrespectfully said "you know, we have these items on display so you do not have to open our boxes." I told her that there was nothing in front of this gift set to show me what was inside of the box. She then in an extremely insulting tone said, "well, the face wash is over here (pointing down the display case) and the face wipes are here (pointing to the other side of the display case)." At that point, I placed the face wash back in the box, closed the box and began walking to the front of the door to leave, not saying one word to Meaghan on my way out. As I was leaving the store, I heard Meaghan yell from across the store that I needed to "come back here." As Meaghan began walking toward me she said, "I'm going to need to see what is in your bag." She was referring to my purse, as I did not have a bag. I immediately asked another associate at the register for a manager and of course Meaghan hit me with, "I am the manager!" although she did not show proof that she was. She then demanded again that she needed to see what was in my purse. At that point I took out my phone and started recording the conversation. When I took out my phone, Meaghan said she was going to call security and threatened me by stating that the store "has surveillance" and can see what I did. Approximately three minutes later, two security guards and my significant other (whom I had to call as he had been waiting for me at the restaurant for some time now) had arrived in the store. The security guards never said one word to me while I was in the store. One of the guards even apologized for what happened once we left. The security guards never looked at any surveillance tape nor did they ask to search my purse. I find it very interesting that during this entire time, I was the only African American customer in the store. All of the other customers were Caucasian and NOT ONE was approached by Meaghan and told they would have to show her items in their purse. Meaghan's actions were defamatory and not based on fact. In addition, this employee has shown herself to be prejudice, and someone who feels she is empowered to accuse customers of criminal behavior based on her prejudices. No customer of color should be subjected to the accusations and bigotry of an employee who feels she has the right to confront someone based upon profiling a customer, and not based on evidence. I WILL NOT shop at Sephora as long as this person is still employed by the company because I do not intend to support such ignorance and hatred. read more

Love Sephora! Hate this store. Worst service of any Sephora I've ever been too. The last time I came here, I was selecting a new eyebrow pencil and an employee came over and helped me. She pointed out the right color for me and I decided to purchase the product. As I continued to shop around the store, the employee approached me with a barcoded sheet to charge me with a "makeover" and told me "I don't work for free." I was so turned off by the nasty attitude that I left without purchasing the product.
