We are so pleased with their work that we will be hiring them again to work on a smaller deck and outdoor shower. We felt his pricing was fair, despite having nothing to compare it to. Truthfully Rafal was the only flooring person on Yelp to actually return my email inquiry and quickly follow-up with an on-site estimate. I guess no one else needed the business. After receiving an ABSURD, disproportionately high quote from another company to do our bathroom tile and kitchen backsplash, I had to search elsewhere. My father, a former contractor, knew Misael did quality work and highly recommended him. After a quick phone call, we set a date and time that he could come and give me an estimate. In all honesty, I was designing two bathrooms; the one inspired by pinterest and the one I could afford.... So it's safe to say that I didn't even have the tile picked out and ordered yet. I had explained to him the look that I was going for, which was the fish/mermaid scale tile on one wall of the shower, dark gray floor tile and possibly an arabesque backsplash for the kitchen. Up until that point, I couldn't afford the mermaid scale tile I'd originally wanted nor the arabesque backsplash... They were so expensive everywhere until I found the fish scale online at Mosaic Tile Direct and the arabesque online at Tile Bar. Once the tile arrived, I informed Misael and he was able to start just a couple days later! He worked under less-than-ideal conditions with integrity and expertise. When he came to work the first day, I really threw him a bit if a curve ball because my plans for the design changed quite a bit from the last time we'd spoken. I ended up doing the three shower walls in mermaid scale, which was a LOT of work for him. Still, he cut each piece with care to preserve the amount we had and to keep me from have to purchase anything more. He advised me on different trims and options and took great interest in understanding what it was that I wanted. I couldn't be happier with my bathroom tile!! It's gorgeous. And if fish scales weren't troublesome enough, he did my kitchen backsplash in the Arabesque tile that I almost didn't have enough for. I was so worried that I didn't order enough tile but he made it work and put in that extra and utilized to the last sheet! He gave me the kitchen of my dreams within my means by taking the tile all the way up to the ceiling and around the floating cabinet. He gave me my pinterest-worthy kitchen and bathroom! This is an older home with much of the floors carpeted and we wanted the hardwood under it to be refinished. So, there were bound to be surprises and they were a few. The last time we had our decks done they were done by another company that covered them in a stain that was extremely sticky. It was so bad we had to wear shoes on our decks. Chis sanded off the old product and used WOCA stain. Our wood has never looked so good. It has been a while since we had Chris refinish them and he just came by to check on them. We had some acidic rain that spotted one of the decks and he showed us how to maintain the wood if that happens again and some extra product. He is an extremely nice guy. We will be using him again!

Security screen type doors are a different animal. I knew that my doorway would require some wood framing because of it's unusual size so who better to do this type of job than a handyman. I Yelped through handyman and came across Handyman Services. I was delighted that I saw Terry K.'s used him and was very impressed with Ryan's work. So I made the call to Handyman Services (Ryan/Owner) and explained what I wanted, an estimate on installation of two doors. To my amazement, he said that he would be in my area in the afternoon. Sure enough he came by and took the measurements and within a couple of hours texted me the estimate. Now that's the kind of service that everyone expects, but rarely receive from any type business. I won't say how much the estimate was for, but I found it reasonable and less than I anticipated the job to be. I scheduled the next open date which was the following week. Ryan came by as scheduled and quickly framed and installed two security screen doors with some modifications. He's quick and efficient, also takes pride in the quality of his work. Will definitely use him for projects that I can't do around the house.
