I love the art house. Chef Garret and team makes phenomenal food, no matter what you get. The bartenders are amazing and always make you feel welcomed. I love seeing the cool decorations when I come in, and they always have fire music playing. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed. Kitchen closes around 9 - 9:30 so order ahead if you're gonna be late for food because you don't want to miss out on their creations. Every month they have a special feature as far as tacos and burgers. Way to keep it exciting guys. My favorite drinks are the old fashioned, Paramount sour, and a blueberry mezcal margarita. The owners are super cool and super involved in their business and it shows. Everything is always made with love and intention.

First, big shoutout to our waitress Corri! She provided the best service and recommendations. Second, the bang bang shrimp appetizer is a MUST! It's so unique. It's served in an edible rice bowl and the shrimp came in a good portion and was so light and crispy!

My friend and I were in the area and wanted to go somewhere that had the Cubs game on TV. We heard good things about Arthouse and they had the Cubs game on, so we stopped in. Our burgers were okay. The service was slow. The only memorable part was that the sauces we ordered were really flavorful. The ambiance was nice - it was just a bummer that the food fell flat compared to how cool the restaurant looks inside.

Excellent. I put this one on my watchlist years ago after biking past. Tonight we finally made our way in. The menu isn't huge and half of it is burgers. But everything they have looks great. The Korean burger was fantastic. Two patties with toppings and fries made for a pretty large portion. My wife enjoyed braised pork nachos. Neat ambiance inside with friendly service. We'll undoubtedly be back. Cheers!

Post-theater today we went to Arthouse that took over Stolp Island restaurant. It was our 1st time dining here. Our server was Kristen, who was attentive and personable. She provided very good service. Also the other staff who filled our water glasses and took away empty plates provided good service, too. We ordered cocktails and they were very good. Hubby had an old-fashioned and I had the clover club. Mine was pretty in pink! Hubs and I shared half dozen char-broiled oysters to start. Delicious flavor although a couple were the size of a dime where other oysters filled the shell. They weren't consistent. We also shared the fried pickles. These were amazing and a generous portion. They were light and airy, the best I've ever had. For dinner, my husband had the steakhouse burger, with mushrooms and hollandaise. It was cooked to the perfect medium rare. I had the lobster toast. The lobster was served on focaccia with avocado, tomato and an aïoli. This sandwich had too much bread for the skimpy lobster provided. Disappointing. The restaurant itself has a nice bar area and a dining room with both high tops and low top tables. We sat at an extremely small table for two that we had to keep juggling our dishes because things would not fit on the table. For example, two appetizers, two plates, water glasses and cocktail glasses just didn't fit on the table. Next time I'd ask for a four top. It was an inconvenience throughout our meal. With a couple missteps, I do have to say I would definitely go back to this restaurant because there's a lot on the menu I want to explore, plus it's right next-door to the theater so it's the perfect location.

Excellent service. Good food although not overly abundant. Reasonable prices. Very convenient to the theaters in the area.

An amazing time!…read more First time here and we will definitely be coming back as the food was amazing but the drinks.. holy moly, those were outstanding! Got to try 11 of them and each one was smooth and it was like drinking juices. All of them had great flavor and some had fun unique twists. To start out with, they had a busy night, between Frank Senatra night where their live entertainment was great, it was also homecoming, so the place was packed, which wasnt a bother as they also have quieter outdoor seating (just have to watch out for the bugs! ) The food came out in droves as one of our guys at the table decided to go down the list and order one of each of the appetizers, (note: we were only a table of 5) all of which were pretty great. My favorite probably was the salmon bruchetta followed up by the seasonal burrata! However, some of the guys devoured the chips & goods while the wings dissappeared so fast. Killing most of the appetizers, we moved onto the main course. I got the apple brie flatbread which was really good and sweet. The carmalized onions paired with the melty bri and fresh apples very well. While another friend ended up woth their watermelon feta salad which was pretty decent. Overall it was a great night and we decided we would be coming back for another fun night out in the future.

Altavida is a new addition to the downtown Naperville area as they have only been open for 3 weeks…read more It has taken over The Craftsman building which offers three floors. Altavida's concepts for the three levels are Publico, Rumba, and Altura. Publico (1st Flr)- A South American fusion of food and drinks that will be rotating. The cocktails will be more tequila and mezcal based and food will be subtly rotated based on trends happening in South America. The food menu currently offers tapas, empanadas, ceviche, guacamoles, larger format meat/seafood entrees, and more. They will have a front of our bar as well as a back bar that will specialize in more coffees/coffee cocktails. Rumba (2nd Flr)- The entertainment floor! There is a separate bar on this floor that will specialize in more Rum based cocktails. Additionally, they will have a wine bar area with wines in tap. Lastly, they will have an open area for live music as well as dancing. Their hope is to have a mix of jazz, club music, salsa dancing options available. Altura (3rd Flr)- This floor is still under construction but will have a rooftop patio. The hope is that this space will be an event space both for public and private events. Back to my experience! My partner and I stopped in for a cocktail and to see what Altavida was about. Our first bartender was very nice but was still getting used to the drink recipes and was leaning on their cheat sheets. While we waited, another bartender kindly told us all about the restaurant and its focus on hospitality. Unfortunately, each bartender had a slightly different explanation of the restaurant's goal concepts which was confusing. We ended up ordering the El Toro and Vaquero (both mezcal drinks). Both were VERY spirit forward to the point that it may have needed better balance. Both drinks had a nice presentation with garnishes, color, and a skull feature at the bottom of the glass. Lastly, we saw many people walk up and look confused as there was no formal host stand. They didn't know if they should seat themselves or wait for someone. Overall, there still seems to be some kinks needing to be worked out as well as some conceptual editing. I feel they are trying to achieve too much and it ends up being confusing for staff and guests. I hope with time, Altavida is extremely successful in the Naperville area and I hope to circle back after some time passes.

I arrived at 6:30 and there were plenty of people already in the restaurant, but I was seated promptly. My server Richard came over to greet me right away. He went over the menu options and gave great recommendations. We put our order in pretty quickly because we've been to tapas restaurants before. I loved the modern decor and lively music being played. The place is truly colorful and has a very energetic vibe. The service was excellent. Everyone was extremely kind and happy to help. Edwin, the general manager was so friendly and accommodating by making sure that everything was to our liking. He is a gem. My husband and I ordered a few different tapas to share. We started with the empanadas and they were truly 10/10, highly recommend! We had the beef and chicken with the chimichurri sauce. We also tried the papas bravas and those were delicious as well. They are spicy and have a nice kick. The portion is pretty big and shareable. Last, we had chicken en mole. Omg, so good! They knocked it out of the park with this one. The presentation is very pleasing and the flavor is 10/10! I'm a hot sauce girly and even carry it in my bag just in case. The sauce they had in the dish was so good that I didn't even think about adding hot sauce! The rice and chicken along with the sauce is chef's kiss. I also tried the Brussels sprouts but they were my least favorite of everything. They should go back to the drawing board on that one. The drinks we had were solid. My husband had an espresso martini and dragonfruit margarita, while I had a mango margarita. All were good. Needless to say, I had an amazing evening at Altavida! The dancing on the second floor was also very fun and entertaining. I will definitely be a regular here!

If you are not in a rush and have a couple of hours to waste just getting a "quick bite to eat"…read morethis is the place for you. The server we had was very kind and knowledgeable about the food but super slow - for NO reason, there were only 7 people (2 tables). Our dinner took 2 hours, and that was even without our appetizer because he forgot! The restaurant itself was nice, the bathrooms super clean and the food was 2/3 good - there were 3 of us and we ordered Housemade Pappardelle $22 - delicious and worth it! Fried Chicken Sandwich $19 I was thinking about this sandwich for days afterwards - definitely worth it! And the Ultimate BLT $16 - I'm not sure what was so ultimate about it - very disappointing, probably worth $8 max!!! The shoe string fries were delicious! Surprisingly, for a "Cocktail bar" the cocktails were disappointing. We ordered Violet Love Rule. $17 Butterfly Pea-Infused Wheatley Vodka, Créme de Pêche, Chareau Aloe Liqueur, Lemon, topped with Sparkling Wine Definitely NOT worth it. A spicy margarita - we were told it was not very spicy and it was, so didn't drink this one, no idea if it was worth it - also no idea on cost as waiter took off my bill!!! A red wine my daughter did not like - just a bad selection on her part!!!

We waited forever for our drinks, our food, and soooo long for our bill we asked the bartender if we could just pay up with him. The drinks were not the best, to be honest. I've had way better... disappointed as this was supposed to be their "thing". The ultimate blt was nothing special at all. The chicken sandwhich was phenomenal. The pasta was delicious! The string French fries were good! Ps the statue in the corner needs cleaned. :)

There was no fun entrance or password; we waited at the bottom of the stairs, never got greeted, and walked up. We got seated right away and ended up asking to move seats because we were seated in the middle of a large/loud party. Our new seats were good; we did have to share a table with another couple. Our server was the best part; his name was Z. He did, however, have to cover the entire room, which seemed impossible for one person. The service did slow down mid-experience, and then we were given the option to move or leave to accommodate their next reservation, which was odd. We had some appetizers, which were okay, but we had no plates or napkins, so it was a bit messy to eat. The dirty chips were a highlight. The drinks were alright, but for being the 'main event' I thought they would offer more options for people who enjoy sweet drinks. They did not have any. The sweetest option was a pineapple option that had a thick foam on it. I took one sip and gave it to my husband. He did enjoy the fun Absinthe Foundatian; however, they only had one, so there was a lot of waiting for many tables as it was passed around. The best part was our server, Z, surprised us with donuts for my husband's birthday. They were very yummy! Overall, it was a super cute place, but definitely a one-time only visit for us.
