She was quite knowledgeable and knew her menu well. She started us off with the Waygu Wellington Poptarts. The flaky crust that covered the melt in your mouth beef was extraordinaire. For my entree, I had the Blackened Salmon on arugula. This was combined with shaved almonds, strawberries, avocado, and blue cheese! Ever hear someone get excited about a salad? Yes it was that good. Husband had the Sous Vide half chicken with his coveted homemade mashed potatoes and carrots. My husband, the chef was not disappointed. And no meal is complete in his book without dessert. So we had no choice but to put our empty plates on the table next to us - there truly wasn't any room and one guy giggled when I asked if he would take our appetizer plates. Our waitress came by shortly after and I said we asked for boxes and our plates to be cleared so we had room. She said she'd take care of it, which she did. After that, she was much less attentive. Finally, when it came to dessert... I asked for a recommendation, but unfortunately I was the only one who wanted a dessert at my table. I asked about taking it home, she told me the mason jar dessert couldn't be taken home and the others wouldn't last. I said okay forget it then. So no dessert was had and we were all VERY confused why our dinner went from stellar service to straight down the toilet. At least the food was good... I might stick to Hardware. It arrived with chicken and plain lettuce, no Caesar dressing, parmesan etc. No big deal this happens, so we nicely told our waitress who looked at it and said, " yup you're right and we will remake it," she came back to our table 5 minutes later and said my manager needs to see it to make sure it was made incorrectly," we thought that was an odd response, however, they do bring a new sandwich out that is correct. Our waitress then says "per my manger if you want to keep the old one too (one bite out of it) we have to charge you for it, and if you don't want to pay for it we are throwing it out." My questions are; why didn't the manager approach us personally, which is what every other restaurant does, and why were we made to feel that we were somehow scamming the restaurant for 2 sandwiches? There are so many other wonderful Restaurants in Naperville that unfortunately we won't be back anytime soon.

I figured it was about 2,000 calories - a whole day's worth of food. It was very good, and at $5.50 it was an incredible value. I didn't spot any nacho cheese sauce, just melted cheddar, which is much better for nachos unless they're the ballpark kind where you just dip the chips in a pile of gooey nacho cheese sauce - which also can be very good but is an entirely different thing. The avocado looked to be about half of a medium avocado, very ripe and fresh, and the pico de gallo was also fresh and plentiful. There were enough black beans to balanced the dish, and a huge dollop of sour cream, which for some reason I love on nachos even though they have a bunch of cheese. Of all the restaurant experiences I've had in the last ten years, this is one of only a few that have been outstanding in quality and value. I'll try the Wednesday pizza next - I'm a bit of a connoisseur of that, too, and it's half-price on Wednesday.
