    Significant wrinkling.

Tina was very friendly and responsive throughout the project but the quality of her team's work and the end product were disappointing. The new floors were not level, there were significant defects (bubbles, wrinkling, bumpy texture), and a 2 ft. hairline crack appeared within the first 2 weeks. Two of the defects (wrinkles in the floor at the entrances to one bedroom) I asked her team to leave as-is since I was concerned trying to fix them would make them more noticeable. They tried to fix them anyway and now they're much more obvious. During the design phase Tina and I both agreed there were significant challenges with my project and she assured me her team could handle them in a way that I would like, but they weren't able to deliver. If there is anything unusual or unique about your flooring needs I would recommend another company.

If you are considering concrete stain for your home or garage, I highly recommend Artcrete. We first had our floors done in 2016 by them and just had the interior retouched. They look like new! They also did our exterior concrete porch, carport and garage, and we are so happy with the results!

I have had Tina and her crew transform my driveway and garage floor and absolutely LOVE that custom stained concrete and custom color of my garage floor. Tina and her team is so professional. And the quality of their work of exceptionally!

If you're looking for a plain old floor, this ain't your place, although I'm sure they do "plain old floors" too. These folks are true artists in every sense. Just incredible. I cannot say enough good things about Tina, Anna and Dylan or the spectacular job they did on our art studio. With little fanfare, they gave us precisely what we asked for in terms of design and material options. In this day and age it is so incredibly rare to find absolutely nothing wrong with a job or the timeliness of the work. They're incredibly respectful of property and left it looking better than when they came. Please see our photos. We asked for various blacks and greys mixed with white, so as to resemble Marble. We've had clients ask us if the floor is real Marble. Just can't tell you how happy we are, so please enjoy the photos. We'll be back!

Foundation problems had pretty much destroyed the concrete floors in several rooms of my home. I'd had the floors patched, but the result was terrible. I found Artcrete on Yelp. Tina responded within minutes, came out to take a look and gave me a quote. Work started as promised. Her crew was professional, respectful and had my complete trust. The finished product was amazing. Tina's an artist, and it shows in her designs. I've probably sent a dozen pictures to family members who remembered the disaster it was. I also called my realtor to recommend Artcrete for her clients. There are very few trusted, high quality concrete repair and design companies in Austin. This is one. Highly recommended.

I've worked with Tina before and she was aware of how particular I am so she was aware of my expectations. I will not tolerate poor quality workmanship for any job that I pay for. We had a very lengthy conversation on the job site about what I wanted and she agreed and said she could provide the desired look. So her claims that she walked onto a job site that was not what she expected is utterly false. I judged Tina's work from pictures and never verified the quality of her work w other customers so I will take that responsibility on myself. I've since learned that lighting and angles can hide serious flaws and make poor quality work look good. I wouldn't have had to ask her guys to add color or address issues if she was on site. I signed the contract with Tina, not her son or her subs. Dylan was not always on-site as she claimed. I should know, I was there quite often checking on the status of work. Anyone can claim to be an artist. Just because you claim to be an artist doesn't make you one and it doesn't mean you can manifest a product that is appealing. It lends no credence to your level of mastery or proficiency. I have attached pictures of the type of "artistry"work they do and what she calls "not-picking". The carpet was just loose layers on the floor to pass inspection. There was no tack strips down anywhere. The carpet was removed in about 2 hours. The trim work/quarter round took about 15 minutes to remove because it's just in the kitchen so the claim that those items took three days is false but this is what Tina does. Tina also knew the baseboards wouldn't be removed and said it wasn't an issue that they would work around it. Every single inch of my baseboards received damage either physically or visually. You would think that someone that's claims to be an artist would be more cognizant of their environment especially when they claim to have years of experience. Also the "natural patterns" that Tina claims are actually due to poor quality work. I've never seen hard, angular lines in any stained concrete which has been verified by many other reputable companies that I've had to consult with. Oddly enough, many people know Tina or even used to work for her. She is not respected by her peers and the quality of her work is regarded as novice at best. The temperatures dropped numerous times during the job which caused significant delays in curing of the product which also meant that I had to keep pushing back all the deliveries I had scheduled however I just took it in stride. No one can control the weather and for the amount of money I was paying I wasn't going to rush the work being done. And I didn't have to be moved out of my other house so there was no pressure. The claim that Tina proceeded in good faith is also not true. She told me that she would file a lien on my house if I didn't pay her more money ..and this was before she was even finished! If that's not extortion I don't know what is. The "Sheetrock mud" on the back patio or "other trade spills" should not have have prevented the concrete from taking stain if the concrete were cleaned and prepared properly but then again Tina takes no responsibility for her workers or their results. I did not approve the work and I addressed it with her and she said she could fix it if I paid her more money! To say I'm obsessed speaks volumes about Tina and her "artistry" Tina's claim that I loved the work is greatly exaggerated. To imply or say that I'm unreasonable is Tina's way of not taking responsibility for poor quality work. I was completely realistic in what I was expecting as I discussed it at length w Tina and even went over photos. In none of those photos were there any hard angular lines. All stained concrete that I've seen has always flows from room to room and didn't have hard straight lines in it which is what happened w my floors. I'm sure that many other people are happy w Tina's work and that's great, I'm happy for them. We will see how happy they are in a few years when the chemicals start to break down and the work has to be redone.

I highly recommend talking to Tina and her team if you are thinking about concrete floors, metallic epoxy, or anything like that. The floor she gave me is unique and beautiful--the sort of thing you notice as soon as you walk in the room. A layered, shimmering combination of silver as well as warmer tones, cool "minnows" and other varied features, all on top of a dark canvas that peaks through for effect in a few spots Not only did Tina and her team do a great job, but they helped demo the defective work of a previous contractor. I had initially gone with another contractor, and the job failed: it was cracked and delaminating from the base slab within a week, it had a lot of white outgassing bubble spots that looked like zits, and overall the texture was not great. That initial contractor told me that it was due to moisture in my slab, and was going to charge me more to fix it. I talked to a few other people, and did not have clarity on how to fix it. But as soon as Tina showed up, it was like a breath of fresh air. She knew exactly what to do, and was excited about the work. She clearly demonstrated why the other contractor's work failed, and that I didn't actually have a moisture issue in my slab after all. And in a weird way, I'm happy the first contractor's job failed, because what I ended up getting from Tina turned out so much cooler in the end.

This is the amazing metallic epoxy work that Tina and her crew did in my house! Wow!

Tina and her crew were a dream to work with! Tina is an amazing artist in her craft and obviously has many years of experience. She put a metallic epoxy finish on the whole main level of my house, about 2000 square feet, and it turned out amazing! I love the final result and I also think that the cost for this high-end work was very reasonable. Everything about the project went smoothly and as Tina stated from start to finish. I am very excited about my new floor and very happy that I chose Artcrete designs to do the work! I would hire them again in a minute TC.

    a clean concrete floor

We moved into a home that had a beautiful concrete floor on the ground level. Unfortunately, the rug pads from the previous owners left scuff marks that were impossible to remove. I contacted Tina from Artcrete Designs, and I cannot sing the praises of this company enough! From responding to my emails to visiting the home to see the damage, Tina showed up on time, was very clear about the process, and completed the project quickly and as scheduled. I know her team worked hard. It wasn't as easy as just removing the one area with the scuff marks. The entire floor needed help. The results were incredible! We didn't do any color dye on the top, but the color that emerged from the already existing concrete was beautiful! I am truly thankful I called for their services. Artcrete Designs are not only professional at what they do but also reliable and dependable.

The color actually matches my house!

I contacted several concrete staining companies based on reviews from Yelp. Due to scheduling issues, price, and or just some funky ass reviews I decided to go with Tina and Artcrete Designs. Tina also had a few questionable reviews that I absolutely asked her about. While there are always two sides to every story Tina actually showed me finished product pics of some of the recent complaints. I felt a lot more comfortable and reassured about the quality of work that was about to take place. Tina was by no means the least expensive bid and actually a bit on the higher side. Another main reason I went with this company was the length of time they've been in business.... not a fly by night crew for sure. I'm extremely happy with my decision to use them, and I'm sure I'll get the value added out of my house when I choose to sell! Thank you Tina! Thank you Yelp for once again finding the people to handle my shit!

Tina is a professional in every aspect. Her crews are prompt, courteous and talented. I highly recommend Artcrete Designs.

Alex was very responsive throughout the planning and execution process, and even oversaw the entire installation. His crew were dedicated and skilled workers who were very kind. Scope of the project included covering an existing concrete slab. Alex made sure to add 3-4 inch rebar dowels every 24 inches and wire mesh to give the new layer something finer to hold on to, in addition to the binding agent for a more firm fusion. We also paid extra for the 3,500 PSI rated concrete given the Texas heat. Further, he extended the sides of our driveway, replacing the paver stone and gravel with level concrete. This also included fixing part of the walkway that had been pushed up by Live Oak roots, which was a tripping hazard, and now forming a smooth transition. Alex was also great when it came to pricing. He was very transparent, and me not being a concrete guy, asked a good friend who's been a general contractor for 30+ years to review the proposal and methods, and follow the work, all of which he said was done expertly. I'd highly recommend Ace for your concrete needs.

Green Ease Landscapes & Design - Before and After

    Green Ease Landscapes & Design

    (36 reviews)

When I look back at what made our family choose Green Ease Landscapes & Design, three things stood…read moreout: design expertise, clear and timely communication, and experience to back a vision for what our home could be. That vision has been further realized with the help of Green Ease. The following is a pretty detailed review of our positive experience with Green Ease, owner William P, and his crew. In short: You're going to get a solid service with them, so feel confident trusting them for your landscaping needs. My family's home had suffered a great deal of erosion over the years that required some foundation work. While we were pleased to get that done and over with, the truth is that the front and back yards were just unsightly. The front yard was essentially just dirt and roots. The large oak trees had prevented grass from growing, and the water run-off had exposed the massive roots that made walking outside a danger to everyone. In the back, water would collect and stagnate forming a mud swamp that oversaturated the grass. The back yard was literally being used as a storage area because we would never allow guests back there. Aside from a much-needed design overhaul, our home desperately needed drainage infrastructure to prevent further damage and allow the yard to actually function as an outdoor space. Our initial conversations began after I found Green Ease online and reviewed their mix of hardscaping, landscaping, and xeriscaping pictures and services. We were interested in xeriscaping from a water conservation prospective, and because we knew that the amount of shading in our lot just wouldn't make growing grass sustainable. We also knew that no matter what aesthetic we went with, it was critical to divert water in a way that lessened the chance of further foundation damage and swamp-like conditions in our yard. Those were our priorities, and everything else would be nice-to-haves. Green Ease was far away from us and their typical service area, but we took a chance and gave them a call. Owner William P. agreed to meet with us. He surveyed the property and made several recommendations; the core of which involved creating a retaining wall in the front of the home, installing drainage in the back yard, and utilizing a combination of xeriscaping and turf to uplift the overall look of the home. He took the time to ask my parents what they would like and how they would use the space, and then suggested we consider expanding the patio a bit so that there would be more room in the backyard to sit and enjoy the outdoors. After taking a few measurements, he provided a rough estimate of his work right then and there. We asked for some time to think things over. This was an investment, and we needed to be confident. We got bids from two other landscape design companies. One landscaping company refused to provide an honest bid without committing to a design fee, and the other provided a bid very similar to Green Ease, only after asking us to provide a design concept for the work. In the end, no one but Green Ease provided the design expertise and level of communication that we felt comfortable moving forward with. Once we agreed to move forward, William came out and we discussed the scope of work in a second detailed walk-through, and reviewed expectations and timelines. When work was set to begin, we visited with him to pick out hardscaping materials, and a selection of plants that would fit into our xeriscaped design. William made recommendations; many of which we went with, but we also felt very comfortable choosing another option if we would've had a different design element we wanted to achieve. When we met the crew, we knew we were in good hands. Every one of the crew members treated my folks with a great deal of respect. We hope that they left feeling proud of the work they did, because they did a damn good job. We allowed for a good deal of crew-based decision-making simply because of our busy schedule, and we were happy with all of the decisions they made. I especially want to shout out the fact that there were small but meaningful accommodations made in the design that made it safer and easier for my folks, who are up in their years, to navigate. I'm not sure that level of detail and consideration would've happened with another crew or another company. In the end, what we discussed during our first consult with Green Ease was ultimately what we received as a final product. There were no major surprises that you sometimes get from vision to execution. The front yard and its retaining wall and xeriscaped stone and plants are amazing, the back yard's turf and flagstone patio are beautiful, and the garden area that allows for native plants to flourish are all so visually appealing. We're incredibly grateful for the superb work they completed on our home. We chose Green Ease because we felt William would help realize our vision in a manner that was detail-oriented. That was exactly what we got.

A family member asked me to improve the landscaping at her home. The existing landscape was…read moreovergrown from the builder's original plantings over 20 years earlier, and the previous owners' plantings had never been approved by the HOA and were also overgrown. After drawing up rudimentary front and backyard plans, I began looking for contractors that were highly reviewed. Good communication was an important aspect of this. Green Ease, owned by William Paquette, was the final choice. William met us at the house within a few days of my contacting him. He came across as competent and knowledgeable. He gave his initial estimate very quickly, and we found it to be reasonable relative to one other. The landscape plan included a curved limestone retaining wall, irrigation changes, a metal raised bed, and 2 cedar structures (a simple arbor and a trellis). Plants were included, as well as drip irrigation. William accompanied us to a nearby stone yard and wholesale nursery to make selections for stone, gravel, mulch, and plants. The number of plants included in the bid was determined based on the area being landscaped. The nursery products looked very nice when we made selections. Work began within a few weeks and was managed by Chris. William stopped by a few times. Chris also built a custom metal raised bed. A friend of William's built an amazing and substantial trellis and a cedar arbor. Plants were picked up just before they were to be installed, and I was allowed to place them. The project was deemed finished and was paid for, but there were a few things needing corrections. William was responsive and able to fit these fixes in within a few weeks. The positive aspects of this landscaping experience included excellent communication with William, his accompanying us to the stone yard and nursery, well-executed stone work, and the superb trellis and arbor. The guys did a great job of removing old plantings and filling in areas where new sod was needed. The negatives included areas I felt were not as well executed as they could have been, and are the reason for deducting one star on this review. The steel bed, while nicely made, did not fit flush against the patio and was filled with poor quality soil before I noticed the gap between bed and patio. The first "fix" by Chris was putting gravel into the gap and using mortar to seal the ends. The mortar cracked, and a second "fix" of steel being welded to hold the gravel in was done. It's functional but not pretty. Also, the plants that were brought in were definitely not the quality of those we looked at with William. Virtually all of them were leggy, and many looked unhealthy. Several ended up being replaced. I was also not happy that the arbor was positioned without first verifying the desired location. Still, the overall appearance of the landscape is very good, with the standout custom features. Green Ease is a business I would recommend to others. They handle every aspect of landscaping and do a good job.
