Art to frame was a great company to work with when needing a custom frame. My fiancé came back from deployment and wanted to frame his flag. We searched for a frame to fit it and without luck we went to a couple places to see how much it would be to get a custom frame made. Each place even with discounts came up over 100$. I found art to frame online and it was less then 30$ to frame it and to have it shipped! It turned out great! It shipped fast and was nicely packaged. My fiancé loves it. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered a 14x24 frame for my Art Print and they sent a frame that is .25" too small. After they demanded sending them numerous photos of proof (what happened to the customer is always right) they then refuse to send me a refund unless I either donate it and show them proof of donation, or break the frame and send them proof that I broke it. What the hell?! This has been the worst experience that I have ever had with a company. Do not put yourself through this! read more

They do not offer exchanges, and their customer service is terrible. They were unwilling to make my order right, despite having a very confusing website which caused me to order a two opening frame with different size openings. They blamed me for the mistake and when I offered a suggestion and how to fix it, the price to send me a new mat was almost as much as the cost of the original item. But they will tell you that the mistake was mine just like they told me over and over again. So I am out of two very expensive shipping fees and have been told that they can't make it right. I look forward to never using this company ever again. read more

First, they got my order completely wrong and there is no way to confirm this since the order I actually placed cannot be retrieved. When I contacted them they first made me jump thru hoops, sending pictures first, then measurements. Once I did all that they sent a condescending email to make it seem like it was all my fault. To cap it all off the quality was poor at best and looked like the frames were assembled by kindergarteners. Needless to say I will NEVER order from them again and doubt I will see replacements or refunds. $120+ down the toilet. Buyer Beware. read more

Having received this odd sized print, I've gone back to Art to Frames (through their website) to explore their fairly priced and extensive selection of custom frames. I avoid Michael's and similar shops, as seemingly all of their frames are Chinese and of really poor quality, and they're not cheap! I have been pleased with Art to Frames before, and using their website was easy for an unusual size. I like that the frames are made in the USA. They are a short distance away in Brooklyn! I don't have the patience for poor service and I despise inferior merchandise. I ordered my frame, and it came in a few days professionally packed and secured. There's also a tracking feature, so you where your purchase is. Art to Frames is my first choice for my pictures. Highly recommended! read more

I purchased a frame from them through Ebay and I noticed that a lot of negative and neutral reviews on that site are now missing, including mine! I decided to look them up here on Yelp and saw all the negative reviews. Purchased mine on 4/7. It said in the description that it would take two weeks. Two weeks go by and when I go to check on it, it says June 7th!! I contacted them to let them know that I needed this sooner and if they were too busy, we could just cancel. Their only response was "Yes, can do." A bit confused as that was vague. I decided to wait a week. No additional information, communication, or tracking was sent from them. I contacted them and ask for it to be cancelled. Three days go by with no answer. Contacted them again that I was going to put in a cancellation notice. No reply. I finally put in a cancel ticket through Ebay. Within 8 hours, I got tracking information. I received the item within 48 hours. Amazing how that happens. The quality of the frame was really nice. No issues there. Their customer service, lack of communications, and timeframe was so off. Looking at the reviews, it looks like they were short staffed, which I totally get. But there were some alternatives that they could have put in place that would have put them in better view of the customers, such as putting a hold on any new orders until they were caught up. Or, place their accounts on Ebay on hold too. Or, let their customers know that they were behind. A simple email that said something like: "hey, we are getting to your order just as soon as we can" would have been better than pure ghosting! read more

Ordered two matching frames two weeks ago. Due to poor quality control, I was sent frames that did not match. Had to deal with terrible customer service. A "replacement" frame was sent that was an even poorer match, had no hanger and with no faster shipping (as all paid for in original order). Again, had to deal with their terrible customer service- over a 30 min chat this time, multiple request for photos, etc- to reach a resolution that they would send another frame with the assurance it would match. A day later received an email, stating they would not be able to send a matching frame. This email also changed the description of the frame from what their website has listed. Offered to "refund" me for less than original amount paid. Steer clear. Poor quality control and customer service. read more

I highly recommend ArtToFrame. I have ordered from them twice and both times they did a very impressive job. I love that I can choose from dozens (maybe hundreds, not sure how many) of frames and mats and I can see exactly how the combinations would look with my artwork. They even have different choices of mat cutouts (round, square, diamond shaped, intricate cutouts, etc.). The frames I have received both times were very high quality and the packaging and shipping are first rate. Really very professionally done and a very good value for the money. I would definitely order from this company again! read more

I ordered a custom frame online. I wasn't really wild about the online interface because it's hard to see what the frame really looks like. They had multiple colors so I just picked one and hoped for the best. When I received the frame I was surprised to see that it is plastic and not wood! It didn't have any indication in its description that it would be plastic. It is very well put-together, but because of the material it looks cheap and awful. If there is a way on the website to filter the frames so that I would be choosing only from the frames that are actually wood -- even if I had to pay more -- I didn't see it. I appreciated a lot of the aspects of the framing experience -- I could order the kind of glass I wanted, I could order a mat if I wanted, I had a choice of hanging hardware -- but ultimately I didn't expect plastic. If they create a way to order frames based on material so I know what I will receive, I would order from them again. Otherwise, it's a dealbreaker and I won't be back. read more

I received my order today and both mats are wrong and not to my specifications. Both have rough cut marks on the inside and out and neither are 8x10. One is 8 1/4 x 9 7/8, the other is 8 1/8 x 10 1/4. One of the inside cuts is also 1/2 inch too small on all sides. The outsides are very rough cut and the insides also have cut marks. These are for historical documents going to be displayed in public. This is unacceptable! read more

Art to Frames is easy to use, affordable, fast. I have ordered at least 15-20 frames from them so far, and every single one has fit my specified dimensions, down to a quarter inch in one case. For high-quality poster prints, (i.e. New Orleans Jazz Fest), I was able to order a frame comparable in looks and quality to framed prints I have bought in the past at half or less of the cost. Every frame has also come undamaged, with good packaging designed to get them to me that way. read more

Bottom line: Unbeatable customer service I have been using #ArtToFrames for a while now to frame art. Here's why I keep coming back: - Great selection - Competitive prices (which are way lower than a local shop, sadly, as I would have loved to support local shops that way) - Never miss measurements and frames / glasses are always as described But now, I have another reason to come back. I received a 16X12 simple white wooden frame with broken glass. I wrote customer service, and admitted that it could very well be that the glass broke as someone in my household stood on the box. The customer service representative wrote back that they understood but would still send a replacement. Then, they went another step further, and sent over a replacement frame (so not only the glass) AND shipped it express (so within 2 days). Bravo. read more

I am tempted to leave 2-stars 'cause what I am about to describe really isn't A-OK, but I will make it 3 for the nice staffer who helped me over the phone, the careful packing of the frame and prompt delivery, and the "reasonableness" of the frame, had the frame I received been one I thought I was getting. Read on for my review-- I wanted to love this place. The frames are a bargain. However, a radically glitch-filled website--and I mean radically! It's lack of stability prevented me from being able to adequately figure out what I wanted online. So I contacted them by email, even offering to discuss the problems with their tech support. A staffer wrote me back, but no one contacted me for details. Not good for business! So after achingly struggling through it--because the prices were so good and the frames looked ultra-fantastic--I picked out a couple of choices and called. The staff person who took my call was delightful. I was very pleased with him. But then, when the frame came, alas--not so pleased. The frame looked nothing like the picture I had been able to pull up. Which left me wondering if somehow I had radically glitched up and gotten the wrong frame. Nope! Subsequent correspondence with the company by email resulted in my being sent the picture I had seen--so it was the same frame. However, from the picture, I thought I was getting a frame that was dramatically (and wonderfully) wide. Not at all! If the site hadn't been so unstable, I might have (might have) figured this out (more on this in a minute). But I didn't really have a chance. And it looked richly colored and made of wood. It is not a richly colored black, but rather dull. And I thought it was plastic! I am told via subsequent correspondence that it is wood, but I guess this is some kind of factory pressed wood which is not at all what I was expecting. Here's some of my correspondence to the company (and I am more than just a medical information scientist, for the record should anyone care): "I have purchased frames from other companies before with nary a surprise. None. "I am a medical information scientist. That is partly relevant because this work includes how information is conveyed visually for patient/provider medical decision-making. What I am about to describe deals with visuals and decision-making. "The website is unstable. Consequently, I had to fight through it to even get to a single general picture of either of the two frame options listed above. If I had been able to actually get it to stay on a frame that I was interested in rather than switch to something radically different, I might have had more time to gather information and more information to gather. But I did not. So I was stuck with seeing the photos we have shared with each other. "That said, the photos are misleading. I realize now that they are actually photos of the frames--but upon receiving the frame, that was not my belief at all. Using the BVG [the frame I ordered] as an example, the photo you sent me makes it look like there is a huge and very black outer part of the frame--which, in fact, is actually a dull color and very small. So the photo presents a disproportionality that makes the frame appear to be very broad when it is not. In retrospect, I see measurements below--but one has to be very spatially apt to make a reconciliation (and it needs to even occur to one that they must do so). So in short, I thought I was going to be getting a lot of frame--very thick--and it is very thin, in fact. I was looking forward to a lot of drama with the frame, and that is not to be. "I have never purchased a frame online before where this is the way the frame is advertised. "To make a related point here from my medical science background: oftentimes medical information is conveyed to patients using pie charts. People with a design sense, but not trained in understanding the impact of visuals on decision-making, frequently want to make the charts 3-D instead of flat because they think it looks more "professional"--however, the end result being that the proportion + shadow distorts size and influences decisions, as that part looks larger. "We have an analogous situation here. The eye reacts to what it sees. And so the way the web presents various frame choices actually distorts from reality." Bottom line: They nicely wrote me back that they would forward this information to their IT department. But that ends that. So now I have a frame that is ten-thousand degrees different than what I thought I was getting to the tune of over $150, which is not chump change for me. Probably needless to say, but the likelihood I will use this company again--even knowing what I know now--mmmmmm, probably nil. Unfortunately... read more

Horrible company. Their website gives false shipping dates. I even called in after ordering to confirm the shipping dates, and their customer service rep looked into my order and said it would arrive by the date I needed. Surprise surprise, It did not. I called back to get a refund and they said they would only give a refund for the item (not including the initial shipping cost) and not including the return shipping cost. They said my other option was to prove that I donated the item with a receipt and they would refund for the item, but again not the shipping cost. Even with a screen shot of their website showing the delivery dates are inaccurate, they took zero responsibility. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. Save your time and money and shop elsewhere! read more

We get stopped all the time and ask how they work and where they come from. They are made in The USA and they are great for travel. We wore them on a recent flight and had no problems with TSA, or the airline. They are very comfortable and provide coverage over the eyes, nose and mouth. They need to be cleaned daily and finished off with an eyeglass cleaner and cloth to remove spots. They work well indoors too. read more

Won't be ordering from them again. I did everything right, plugged in the measurements of my art, went through the step by step of what I wanted, but they frame came and the measurements make no sense. I ordered a larger matted wood frame. First of all, the matte is just a detached piece of paper. Second, there is awkward space in between my print and the mat, maybe a 1/4 of an inch, but it doesn't look very nice for something I paid $125 for. Their return policy is too much of a headache, you have to repack and pay to ship it back, and even then a refund is not guaranteed. Their website is also terribly confusing and hard to use. There has to be a better option. read more

2020 has been a doozy of a year, and it is only July! When CoVid 19 hit, in order to resume my practice as an acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Doctor in Carlsbad, CA (north county, San Diego,) I needed to figure out a way to incorporate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) into our office's safety protocols. I was using disposable masks for the first month and they were not ideal. But then I found your beautiful face shields that go over my eyeglass frames; and also protect my eyes, nose, and mouth! I bought a face shield for everyone in our office, my family, and a patient asked that I add 15 more face shields so she could give them out to her team! These face shields are easy to clean, comfortable, provide protection against the spreading of the virus, and allow others to see facial expression and read lips (hearing impaired patients appreciate this ALOT!) I could not be happier and am ordering a third time (10 the first order, 20 the second order, and now ten more plus replacement plastic shields) , for forty total shields purchased! I am proud to support an American made product. The novel CoVid 19 virus is going to be around for quite a while. Instead of yanking on face masks, and risk improperly wearing face masks; I am switching to PPE-compliant face shields from Art To Frame! This product has the "Beau Beau" seal of approval. read more

I looked into custom framing and it was out of my budget, but after some searching found ArtToFrames. I put in the dimensions I needed, picked out a beautiful finish, and quickly got the frames in. The face shield came in a protective wrapping and the glasses that they attach to came in a secured part of the box to ensure neither would be damaged in transit. This was a gift and I really liked the frame so I asked about complementary upgraded shipping (I'm in LA.) Customer support said they would ask about upgrading the shipping as a courtesy, then confirmed they could do it. The second frame was delivered today and was significantly more damaged than the last. Maybe it's a shipping issue? I don't think so - it seemed very well packed. Aloha. At least half a dozen times during my food shopping errand (@ Whole Foods on Maui), I'm asked "where did you get that face shield?" I'm happy to share my resource (Amazon.com), name of your business and even pass along the link to the item, but today I have a question for the owners. When I first purchased my first set of face shields in May of 2020, I was proud to add "...and they're made in the U.S.!" However, my very recent orders arrived with stickers that read: "made in China." Is this right? I love the comfort and breath-ability of your face shields. Although the frames looked well packaged, some of them were scratched and color chipping off so you could tell they were cheaply made 2. The color was not as appeared online. 3. The hooks were not assembled on the frames so additional effort from our end was required for me to get them ready to hang my pictures. I ordered online. When measuring for the frame, it asks for "opening size", so since it was the FRAME SIZE I was measuring, I entered the size of the inner frame. I ordered a mat, paid, and waited for delivery. What I got was an enormous frame - at least twice the size that I need. Apparently, "opening size" is IMAGE size, even though it is under frame measurement. There are no instructions or directions for the customer to know what the company means by their terminology for measurements. They accept returns (only reason for 2 stars) but the cost of shipping is on the customer. Probably not even worth the shipping cost in this case with the frame being the size of a house. Guess that is a win-win for the company. As for the quality, the frame is ok, the rest looks pretty cheap. Learn from my mistake and just pay more for a professionally done frame. read more
