I have so much respect for the company "Art to Frames" and more importantly, every employee that works there. 30$ to return that I have to pay for something I don't want! Ridiculous, first company I've ever seen that makes you pay for a return that you don't want. I have no idea how they have such good reviews they show on their website. I think it is made up. read more

Terrible customer service. I got the wrong item and had to pay for shipping the item back. I ordered a frame but got a monstrous tacky box. So many options prompted on the site to get a frame and it can get confusing. Also it took a long time to ship from NY to DC. I get international packages from Etsy delivered faster. $26 shipping was deducted from my order. Rip off and I would NOT order from this company read more

Horrible horrible customer service! They never pick up their phones and I have called a lot of times - never call back. I had an issue with the frames- I was sent a frame that looked nothing like on their website. And I got in touch with them they refused to accept it. I hated the frames so much I was like I'll take the shipping cost and send them back anyways and I confirmed in writing that I will only be paying a shipping cost. I pay a hefty shipping and send it back. Guess what happens ... they charge a restocking fee on top of the shipping cost which I was not told of and not agreed upon.I honestly have not come across a worst customer service ! read more

Horrible customer service! They won't take responsibility for products that arrived at my house damaged due to very poor packaging, and failed attempts to cover up flaws in the wood. And they lie about the materials the frames are made of. I bought some of their frames that they claim are "maple," but they are actually poplar (a cheaper quality wood), and then deny that it is poplar. Any woodworker can easily tell the difference. Don't Buy from this lame company! read more

I recently ordered a matted frame from ArtToFrames. While I did not order a print of the artwork, as part of the order I uploaded a scan of it. The scanned image is 7 x 9, but the mat they sent was 8 x 10. I contacted their customer service department and reported thei error. They sent me a rather convoluted response about their return policy. None of their options were convenient, all of them were a hassle, and none of them acknowledged their error. What they should have done is send me the correctly formatted mat. I declined their convoluted options, and I responded that I would be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Easy website to use and view customer reviews to purchase and more importantly great customer service. Highly recommend.

I had a really long 25 x 6.75 inch artwork that I wanted to frame and put up but didn't want the super expensive custom framing price that usually goes along with a non-standard frame size. So I did some online research and fortunately found Art to Frames. The website was simple and easy to use and had lots of options to choose from at reasonable prices. I could basically type in any size and pick options to my liking (color, matting options, glass, etc.) When it arrived, I was impressed at how well it was shipped with lots of protective material. It arrived to my door a few weeks later which seemed long but I wasn't in any rush so it didn't matter to me. There wasn't a free shipping option at the time I ordered which surprised me. I probably would have ordered another frame if it would have gotten me free shipping. After getting the frame, there is some work you have to do putting it together and attaching the hooks and wire. It's not hard to do but it does add on a few extra steps and some minimal work. I had ordered the styrene glass with my frame and the edges of the glass do chip very easily. While taking off the protective cover and putting the frame together, tiny bits of glass would chip off the sides. It only made little chips on the edges so all the chips are covered and behind the frame so you can't see it when the frame is put together, but it did leave little, tiny bits of the glass on floor that I had to vacuum up afterwards. Overall, it's a nice frame for a good price and was easy to order and put together. I would order from here again for my next frame. read more

The black wooden frame with the gold beads really compliments this illustration. The frame is simple, yet very regal and does not overpower the artwork. The gold beaded accent on the black frame picks up on the gold buttons in the boys' blazers. The frame is very well constructed and the dimensions of the frame were perfect. I could imagine anything better than this. I am very pleased with my purchase and am so very proud to hang this up in my home. read more

I purchased a multi-opening custom frame for photographs and that item came in just fine. Then I ordered a single opening, double mat frame with museum glass for a watercolor painting (about $120 plus tax and shipping). There is a scratch on the bottom edge of the frame (I have masked it with a bit of sharpie). The main issue is that the glass does not fit tightly against the frame. I am not crazy about being able to see the code for the glass when I am looking at the picture from an angle! Keeping it even though it is imperfect because I want the person who did the painting to see it on my wall next weekend. I have another, larger, painting to frame and I think I will go elsewhere. read more

Being stuck at home the last couple months gave me a chance to finally tackle some of my long-needed apartment interior updates. I had some posters I wanted to hang but they were all weird sizes. Art to Frames lets you easily just type in the dimensions you need and you're instantly shown the colors, materials and styles you can get with those exact dimensions. And the prices are incredibly reasonable for such customization. They had a warning when checking out that the delivery might be delayed due to Covid-19 which I was NOT going to hold against them, everyone should be safe. But the shipment came in a matter of days! With pride celebrations cancelled this year, I'm glad I could put up this poster from 2016 pride as a reminder. If you like to take risks with your money and time, do business with this company. I was given a gift card and it was by wrong company and didn't use it so my fiancé asked for refund and they outright blocked her number from calling them back. That was the beginning of a tug-of-war that lasted weeks. They blocked my email as well. It wasn't until we filled a complaint to Better Business Bureau that all of a sudden they can finally, grudgingly refunded our money. After WEEKS of fighting these people. Awful customer service. While my husband and I were on our honeymoon, we found a gorgeous print by a local artist of our wedding venue. We purchased it without considering its unusual size. Once we returned home and I set about framing our gorgeous new piece, I realized how difficult it was to find a frame to fit it perfectly. I looked into custom framing at some local stores but was not stoked about their pricing. Finally, I came across Art To Frames online. Given their good reputation, I took a chance and ordered a custom frame that would be the right fit for our print. I am blown away by Art To Frames. Not only is the frame lovely and perfect for the piece both in style and size, but it also shipped to us quickly! The price was extremely affordable, especially considering the quality of the frame and matting. When I need a custom frame in the future, I will definitely return to Art To Frame. I've used Art To Frame a couple times now. They ALWAYS GET IT WRONG! Every time I need a custom order I spend 1-2 months speaking with them, and when the frame arrives it's always not correct. If I could give a -1 rating I would. It's sad and deceiving that a place with such good rating couldn't meet my and plenty of others' expectations. I understand we are in unprecedented times and you are short staffed and back ordered. ADVISE: don't take more orders you CAN'T fulfill. Customer Service: TERRIBLE! I really tried to be patient and understanding during these times and your circumstances with lack of staff and being back ordered, but not only I was ignored multiple times, I was sent on both occasions defective merchandise.  Both my orders were late On the first one I called after the supposed delivery date only to be told the item was out of stock. NO ONE informed me of this beforehand, I HAD TO CALL. Ok... I was being patient and didn't make a fuss. Marla offered me a different item and adjusted my charge. Item arrived and had a scratch, I let it go since it wasn't too big and didn't want to go through the whole returning process.  On the second item I was waiting which was actually purchased since May 29, same thing: Did not get delivered on time, again, I was being patient. Called and left a message and NO response, waited more days and same, nothing happened. I had to email to all your addresses just to be given a generic email pseudo apology with an estimate shipping date. Time frame passed and still no item.  I received the item today and it is completely scratched. No protective film on glass was used, therefore it got severely damaged.  I AM BEYOND DISSATISFIED WITH YOUR SERVICE and demand either a refund or another product.  I offered to cancel my order and have my money refund if you couldn't deliver and was still told it would be completed. This is outrageous. I want a response in a timely manner, this is unacceptable.  I'm attaching pictures of this for proof. read more

I had a dreadful experience with Art To Frames, and would give zero stars if I could. I ordered a custom size frame (28.5" x 14") and received it earlier this year. Due to circumstances beyond my control (I am the caregiver for a family member with dementia), I wasn't able to start framing my picture until last weekend. Granted, a lot of time has passed. However, the frame they sent me is the wrong size in both dimensions. The frame I received measures 29.5" x 6.75", which makes it both too long for my picture and too narrow. It is totally useless to me. When I approached the company for either a refund or some sort of credit toward a new order for the same frame, they blew me off. That's $50 down the drain and I will take my future business elsewhere. Buyer beware! read more

Fairly easy process to order custom kmats and frames. I have bought several over the past 5 years. I am still worried about getting an official update and actually getting the order, but clearly COVID is just making everything harder. I still wish I'd been contacted before heading to Yelp to let me know the issues, especially since I did try reaching out in other ways first. But again, I get it, COVID is a nightmare for everyone. Got my frame and mat. It came well packaged and pretty secured. The mat color if brown with red ran slightly redder than the website picture, but it still matched my piece. I hate writing bad reviews, but this company is very sketchy. I ordered a custom white frame and received it in the mail 9 days later. When I opened it, my heart immediately sank as I realized that I'd wasted money on a product from a dishonest seller. The frame was scraped, all four outer corners were damaged, the white material was dented and peeling/bubbling away from the wood (cheap veneer), and none of the corners were properly aligned. After getting in touch with customer service, the Art to Frames team told me that to receive a refund, I needed to donate the frame to a local charity, like Goodwill or Salvation Army, and then send them a photo of the donation receipt. This is obviously an attempt to make it more difficult to get a refund, and I don't buy that it's in good faith because Goodwill has to send unusable items to the landfill anyway. Why would I take a damaged frame made to very odd measurements to Goodwill? They aren't a trash disposal service, and their employees already have to sort through hundreds of unusable items each day. Instead of making customers jump through hoops to get refunds, Art to Frames should focus on making quality products that are accurately reflected on their website. About to file a complaint with the BBB. I'll never make the mistake of using a cheap online framing shop instead of a small local business again! UPDATE: Wow. The Art to Frames customer service team just responded to me and said that if I didn't want to take the damaged frame to Goodwill, I needed to BREAK IT IN HALF and send them a photo to receive a refund. This company has the most unhinged policies I've ever heard of. I don't know what else to say other than to avoid Art to Frames, no matter how cheaply you're looking to frame something. It's not worth the headache. read more

Great frame. Purchased on amazon. Pricing was on par with other resellers. I was buying a funky size, so it is not something that can easily be purchased at a big box store. I am very happy with the shipping and packaging process. The frame arrived quickly and in great condition. The sizing is correct, and the poster fits perfectly. As far as the frame quality, it is very good for the price point. If you are expecting museum glass and solid wood for $30, good luck. I have been a customer of Art To Frames for 8+ years. I am a pet portrait artist who wants his artwork to look the best when presented to my customers. I found Art To Frames gave me so many choices in frames and mats at a very competitive price. I can also see what my work will look like by using their interactive tool. All I need to do is upload my photo and presto! There is my client's painting as it would look in the frame and matting selection I had made. How cool is that? My frames were delivered within a week of purchase and in good condition. I accidentally broke the glass one time when I was unpacking and Art To Frames, once notified, shipped one out to me free the next day. The frames are EXTREMELY overpriced for the cheap and flimsy frames that arrived. A $250 frame should feel sturdy and be made with high quality wood. It feels that they'll fall apart at any minute. This is our first purchase from Art to Frames, but it won't be the last! We purchased a large canvas bulletin board. It was based not only on previous reviews but also on the size and design available. It was packaged extremely well and arrived undamaged. It would have taken a huge effort by the post office to damage it because of the secure packaging. It is absolutely beautiful in person, so much so that I almost hate to cover it up when I use it as a bulletin board. The canvas itself is semi self-healing so it heals when thumbtacks are removed. The frame was in excellent condition and not warped at all. The back was covered with framing paper, just like you would see with finer art pieces, which was was a huge surprise for a bulletin board. Hanging was easy with the tools and instructions that were included (note: they are extra pieces that are meant to make a "dimple" in the wall so that you don't have to measure where the hangers should go. Because we have highly textured walls, those didn't work for us, but it wasn't any problem with the product - just typical Texas walls!). It looks so lovely hanging up that it could stand alone as a piece of artwork. It definitely won't be the last piece that we purchase from Art to Frames. #ArtToFrames read more
