I walked in with a 4'x3' stretched canvas on a warped frame, the painting would push off the wall 4-5" and made it impossible to hang and display. The friendly folk at 567 took it, removed from the original frame, and placed on a new box frame. The renewed piece was perfect, and as an unexpected bonus they added brackets with wire to the back for easier hanging. My mother was an artist and I grew up with professional framers. There was a place closer to me that got mixed reviews, and I decided to drive out here to check it out. SO GLAD that I did - this will be my one-stop shop from now on. There's no storefront - you need to be buzzed in, where you enter a vast building. The reasons for this will soon become clear - this isn't a one-room frame shop with a few matts and frames and a couple pieces of glass, it's a mini-factory, with at least a half-dozen full time artisans moving quickly and efficiently through every stage of professional production from printing on large-format printers, immediately on to mounting on aluminum or sintra, etc, back mounting, plexi, whatever, matting, spacing, movingnit into a custom build frame, cleaning, cutting and placing glass/plexi, securing, wrapping, and and delivering in town. They deal with hundreds of artists who need a whole show set up and delivered the next day in Chelsea, and have literally hundreds- if not thousands- of matts, frames, and papers to choose from. If you print, they'll do a free proof for you to check color before proceeding. And for all this, you'd expect sky-high prices, but no - they're totally reasonable. I had a rare poster fall and the glass break, so I brought it in to be replaced. They were so fast, I didn't even need to come back, they finished the whole thing within like 5 minutes while I was looking around. I've had stuff done in manhattan before, but no longer. Already looking forward to getting some new things printed and framed since coming here! read more

Excellent service! I wanted to give my godmother a last-minute gift as she had mentioned she liked a particular painting. With two hours left on my clock I called all my local print shops with the specifications to no avail. Then I called 567 in Williamsburg who told me they would be able to run the print for me with a reasonable price. Woohoo! When I arrived it took me a minute to figure out where the shop was located - through the lobby and down the long hallway. I really can't recommend this place enough. Framing is generally SO expensive (as we all know), but my previous attempts to have things framed more affordably have always ended poorly. For example, some of the things I've had framed here were things I'd previously had done by Framebrdige (the online place). I've used FB and had them do an okay job, but this last time was a mess (framed pieces arrived chipped and dinged, and one piece was the totally wrong size), so I had 567 redo those items and so other pieces. They did a great job, were the same price, and were fast. Also, everyone who works there is super nice. I live about 30 min away in a totally different part of Brooklyn, but the drive is worth it for the quality and price. read more

My experience with 567 framing was pretty good! I took 4 pieces in to be framed. The turnaround for framing is about 2 weeks. When I got my pieces back home, I noticed that there were a few minor issues with 2 of them (matting cut with wrong proportions, one of the images was slightly crooked). Mistakes happen sometimes (that's life!) so I called the store back and let them know about the issue. I brought the pieces back and they fixed them for free, which was nice. read more

This is a place to go if you know exactly what you're looking for and don't need help picking out a frame or matting. Where as with every framer I've been to previously it's a very guided and collaborative experience, this one was the exact opposite. I went in with a previously framed piece and wanted to update the frame to a more modern look. While the gentleman who was present was very nice and kind, he was unfortunately not able to provide direction and I was left to my own devices. To be completely fair he did eventually make 2 suggestions but they were basically - "did you see this one that looks similar to the one you just picked out" vs. real recommendations. While I enjoy art I am not artistic and because of this the end result of my framing did not meet my goals and I am currently shopping around for a new framer who can help me re-do it. At this point I've accepted that I'll have to eat the cost. The pricing is fair, though I would not go so far as to say it is significantly less expensive then other framers. The turn around time was fair as well, though again it's not significantly different than other framers. In Sept of 2016, I obtained a large work of mixed-media from an artist friend and wanted to have it framed properly as the original frame was glass and had broken. I arranged to have the 48" x 36" original picked up by Hiroki which was no problem. I received the artwork in a reasonable amount of time. I was satisfied with the delivery and quality of the job until recently. The spacer between the artwork and the plexiglass begun to sag and buckle and had lost adhesion in several places along the top and bottom. I emailed Hiroki asking to have the spacers replaced, sent him some images, and he promptly scheduled my artwork to be picked up. About 3 days later, I received a message stating that after having examined the frame, Hiroki had ordered better grade spacers, and decided on the final framing specifications so that it will last without the spacers falling this time. They also decided to replace the plexi glass (free of charge) as well since Hiroki informed me it had quite bit of glue and tape marks from spacers. He informed me the job would be complete within a week, which it was, and that they would redeliver free of charge at a time and date convenient for me. I received the artwork yesterday and could not be happier. I completely and without reservation give my recommendation to Hiroki and the staff at 567 Framing because they understand art and what it takes to preserve it. Just as importantl, the level of prompt attention and service I received when a problem arose makes this particular shop stand out among the rest. We live in NYC and there are many framing shops, but not all of them will do such a great job and stand by their work as Hiroki and staff have shown. They are fantastic! read more

They do great work, have reasonable prices, and have good customer service. They were very helpful and patient when it came to helping me pick a frame that was in my budget and suit my picture. It took about a week to get my picture back, but it was framed with the wrong frame. It took about half a week to get that fixed and it now looks lovely. Only problem is that now there is a very small piece of wood fiber underneath the glass that is in a black section near the middle of the image that is a little distracting. I doubt there is anything that can be done and it's minor, so I'm not sure if I'll bother going in again. But it is a little frustrating. Overall, they have great staff and do great work and I would return to them again, I would just urge them to pay attention to the details a little bit more. Update: they came and picked up and dropped of my frame and removed the small piece of fiber. It's perfect now! They did it within one day. Spectacular customer service and great work. read more

They walked me through a range of framing options at different price points as well as the different ways that I could matte or space my art prints from my frames. They gave very helpful advice for the different kinds of prints that I had. It did help to ask good questions, so I'd come in with your thinking cap on. One tip: be forewarned that their default option seems to be to glue an art print to a piece of board, so if you want to preserve your art prints for later use / potential reframing, you should tell them not to go this route. read more

Hesitated a bunch before going there, and I am happy of my choice. - they said from 10 to 15 days for my 4 frames, I called at 10 and it was ready - price was I think approximately 30% cheaper than other places I visited and ask quotes - result is really good. Only one of my 4 piece is not perfect (which is why I dont give the 5 perfect stars) but it is still totally ok.
