We've been using Arroyo tree service for several years and they are great. We have three very tall (50') palm trees around our pool and next to our expensive vinyl fence. This team of people (usually 6) uses hoists, ropes and other means to make sure my fence is never damaged. They do a fantastic job, they are friendly, very open to my direction, and they always clean up all the mess, NRT my pool, and blow all the debris away. I've had them trim my palm trees, trim large birds of paradise, shape and trim my trees, bottlebrush and I've even hired them for a large one-off job to clear and clean a huge flowerbed with bushes and trees. Unreliable and can't keep appointments I received a quote from Arroyo and scheduled the earliest date they were available, four weeks later. Unfortunately, Nacho rescheduled.... three times. He then confirmed via text that they would be on-site the following day, only to not show up again. Nacho, Dad and crew came out yesterday and cut down a big tree, topped trees by ladder who were over 25 feet tall along a 50 foot wall and left everything pristine. I called the office and left a message 3 days before they were scheduled to confirm the appointment, and asked that Nacho call back. No call. It rained the day they were suppose to come out and I didn't hear anything from them. I called the office an the woman that answered the phone said she would be sure Nacho called me. Nacho and his amazing crew are the absolute best!  I came home to a fallen coral tree that was blocking our driveway, front door entrance to our home, and all over other trees on the property.  It was about 6pm and I had no idea what to do.  Our house is on the market and we had a showing scheduled the next morning.  I called our real estate agent who immediately contact Nacho. Within 30 minutes, Arroyo Tree Service was at my home.  They cleared the driveway and promised to be back first thing in the morning and that everything would be complete and looking great for our house showing.  Sure enough, they were here and had this massive tree cleared, cleaned up, and even trimmed another trees on the property that also looked at risk of falling.  AMAZING service!  It was a massive tree and they were finished in less than an hour.  They even used the blower and swept the entire area.  Truly beautiful work and great attention to detail.  Nacho provided professional communications and overdelivered on his promises.  I will definitely work with Arroyo Tree Service again.   THANK YOU for a job well done! read more

I needed some pepper trees and a pine tree trimmed back to install a fence. Arroyo's bid for the job was $1800. A different company bid $1000. A third company bid $800. I'm not a fan: I arrived home to find this company had trimmed only 1/2 of the overgrown tree in our front yard of our home. Our neighbor had paid them to only trim the half that faced their home. The tree was not at all on their property. It was entirely on ours. Our landlord had refused to hire Arroyo. She simply considered them to be overpriced. When I pointed out how precariously unbalanced he'd left OUR tree, the tree trimmer from Arroyo agreed to trim the other side of this now dangerously unbalanced heavy tree but he demanded an additional $75 from us (the tenants) to do so. Presumably, they just been paid at least that much (by our neighbors) to clip the other half of this same tree. I had no opportunity to contact our landlady. So he left. Since that time we've hired another gardening and tree trimming service. They offered to trim every tree in our yard (including this one) for about $50 per tree. Arroyo Tree Service is overpriced and irresponsible. read more

We used Arroyo Tree service to trim two canary island palms in our yard. Their quote was very competitive, and Jr took the time to explain the process to me thoroughly. A few weeks after receiving the quote, we had the crew out to trim the trees. The quality of the work was great, and the crew worked quickly. It pains me to give them less than a 5 star review, but there were a few hiccups with the scheduling process. I called to approve the quote, and was told I'd be called back to schedule. A few days later, I called the office as I hadn't heard back, and since the office doesn't do the scheduling, I again had to wait for a call back to schedule. And again, on the scheduled day, I had to call to confirm I was scheduled, as my arrival time had been scheduled between 8-10, and they still hadn't arrived at noon. I had the luxury of free time that day, so it wasn't a major hassle, just annoying. The work they did on the palms was beautiful, but the cleanup efforts were lacking. A great quantity of the dates/nuts removed from one of the trees were scattered in our yard, despite my telling the foreman that our dog would eat them. This is partially my fault as I wasn't thorough in the post-completion inspection. We'll likely call Arroyo the next time our Palms need trimming because the price is right, and hopefully our next experience will be a little better. read more

Update: I have to update my review as one of the trees they cut down is now growing back. Due to the placement of the tree they were unable to grind the stump. They assured me they cut it in a way it would not grow back. It is growing back and I have left several messages without a response from them. I spent a lot of money and expected the problem to be resolved. Money well spent! I needed several trees and stumps removed from my yard. I contacted several companies and got bids from each. Arroyo was the most professional as they showed up on time for bid and had a solid plan which they explained to me. Additionally, they came in lower in comparison to the other companies. They just completed the job and did an outstanding job! They showed up on time and quickly went to work. They are a well oiled machine in terms of working together to get the job done. They were careful with my plants and cleaned up to the point you would never know they were here. I am very pleased with the job they did!!! read more

I had 3 large palm trees in my front yard that I wanted removed, and after the initial estimate they were out in 2 weeks and cut down all 3 trees in 19 minutes! I was shocked at how fast they worked. Recently 6 neighbors got together and hired Arroyo Tree Service to prune 15 palm trees. We had specified the trees be pruned using a bucket truck so the trees would not be spiked by someone climbing to do the pruning. Nacho came to our properties, gave us an estimate for the work and set the appointment. He and his crew arrived on time, masks on and began their work. The trees were beautifully pruned, all seed pods removed and their clean up was AMAZING. They did a fantastic job! All debris was removed from our properties and now we have beautiful, pruned trees again! We would definitely recommend Arroyo Tree Service.
