I have a fairly large property with dozens of trees both big and small. Although I get my fan palms trimmed once a year, it had been years since I had some of the other trees trimmed/laced and about 2 years since I had the giant Eucalyptus trimmed (about 70 feet tall). So, I decided to have a lot done. My project was the following: lace & trim 1 giant Euc, 5 Fan palms, 3 Queen palms, 1 small Euc, 4 olive, 1 overgrown Ficus, 3 large Melaleucas, 1 large pine,1 large Carrot Wood, 4 fruit trees, remove 2 Silk Floss trees w/stump, remove another old stump, cut back over grown hedge, etc, etc, etc. Clearly it was a large job so I got 8 bids. The bids ranged from $2800 to $5900. Salcedo didn't come in the cheapest, but they were in the bottom 1/3. But more than that, Christo (son and bid person) just came across as honest, hard working and knowledgeable. His father was the expert from years of tree work in the Pacific Northwest. Suffice it to say, they did a fantastic job... and they did it in one day! They have the grinders, chipper and multiple trucks. They didn't use spikes on the Euc and they did a fantastic job on cleaning up the yard. They had 7 guys on the job and one was nicer than the other - all family members! You needn't look any further - I did the research and these guys are the real deal. read more

This company does not follow city ordinances, doing loud chopping of trees and using a chipper at 6 am on a Sunday for hours. I called the number and the person who answered denied that it was a tree service company although clearly displayed on the truck and online, stating that they only rent out the truck and obviously lying as this is the number to contact for services. read more

This company worked for a neighbor today and damaged our brand new wire fence in two places. They also came on our property without permission to work on it to cut some trees on the other side, standing on a tall stump to do it. When I asked the tree trimmer to get off our property he argued with me and finally got off. The manager later told me they have to go on other people's property to do their work, that they don't ask permission, and that they have insurance to cover our fence. He was not apologetic. Not good. I would never hire them, personally. Have never had trouble like this from other multiple tree trimming companies over 40 years. read more

I got estimates from several companies but this was the only company that thought about trying to save my apple tree. That helped to win my business. Their price was the second lowest too. I had them get rid of the apple tree since it hasn't been doing well for years along with another tree. Christo was great about letting me know they were worried about damaging my irrigation if they took out the stumps and he cut the price on the day of the service when they realized they had to leave the stumps. He was easy and great to deal with. He kept me well informed before and on the day of service. Excellent job! Chris was right on time and gave me a very competitive quote on the spot. I was notified via text what day/time the crew was coming out. I think it was a bit bigger job than originally expected, but they completed all of the work removing/chipping 10 piles of branches, weeds & shrubs we cleared from an acre of our property.
