    two cocktails on a table

This restaurant is a must visit if you're in Winthrop. We got a seat at the bar, so make sure you make a reservation. That said, the bar tender was so kind and funny that we were thrilled with our seat!! The restaurant is very cute and modern, which is a nice ambiance change to the western themed town around it. The pina colada inspired cocktail was a dream. I wish I could recreate it. The desserts are a must - we had the blueberry corn cake and the cocktail brownie item (probably butchered those names) but they were SO good!!!!

I had pretty high hopes after reading the highly regarded reviews of Arrowleaf on Yelp. First, we had excellent service. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very knowledgeable, shared her preferences and even gave us a few recommendations about the best things to grab from the menu. The only item I would recommend would be the beet salad. The beets, required lettuce, and dressing was excellent. It was a perfect size for an appetizer. We shared and it was great to start the meal on such a positive note. Unfortunately, neither of the entrees lived up to the salad or had much excitement overall. First, the steak frites was super lacking in flavor; I'm not sure the steak had any seasoning. Of course, the fries were fine - thin waffle fries that were fried pretty well. The entree came with 2 sauces, both were also fine. I was expecting much more quality and flavor from such a basic dish. The other entree was the cauliflower polenta which might not have had any seasoning. Fortunately, the steak was better, but not by much.

Our first time in Winthrop and we were so lucky to find this amazing restaurant. First of all the service was excellent and can't say enough about the craft cocktails and food. It's a small beautiful little restaurant and so cozy casual. I recommend making reservations.

Everything tasted so good! Cocktails are great and every dish was amazing too. Our server was very friendly, take orders very quick and food came out quick too. Burrata with pumpkin purée was a great paring! I would recommend seating in the bar area since you can try both menu. We got the Thai wings from the bar menu and it was soooooo good plus huge portion too! I am definitely coming back.

Pork chop it was dark at our table as you can see.

    1. Food - so so. Some hits and some misses. Vegetarian Dinesh wirh sweet potato and coconut black rice was quite good. They were able to make it vegan which was wonderful Replacing the butter with chive oil so I was told The poached pear salad was basically mainly kale. The tomato Capres it was beautiful and heavy on gorgeous tomatoes. I wish I had known that The tortilla soup was not very good and my friend had a bit of a reaction to it. another person had a pork chop which was pretty good. The meatloaf was give it an average grade 2. We had to pay $41 to reserve our table on Monday Labor Day. We received $40 of credit but the dollar they capped. It's not a big deal it's just a principal. 3. Table It wasn't that busy so that was a little bit strange that we were required to do that. They sat us at a very bad table at the far end outside. We had requested and said we had to have outside. There were other outside tables. We eventually move to one that had heat. 4. We had a delightful server with beautiful braids. She was probably the least senior person but she was by far our favorite server of the night. She got pulled off our table for management and put to do trash duty etc. We saw her working hard. Unfortunately the next waitress that took over was not as attentive but perhaps had seniority Clearly if we made the reservation and paid the money to secure the table, we were serious about our meal. We ordered a lot of food - appetizers or starters plus our main course. And a bottle of wine. However once we lost our beautiful server, service went downhill. I'm surprised they didn't offer to move us to a table as it got colder and we were sat out back closer to the trash a no heater Would I go back ? Probably not .

Lamb with root vegetables and broccolini. Very good.

Stopped by late before it closed. The service was excellent and the food as well! It's an upscale restaurant and a quaint higher class dinning area with outside seating as well. We loved our food and wished we had room for dessert. We had lamb which my wife loved and steak frites. I loved the steak and the fries. Their homemade ketchup had a little too much anise or whatever they used. Too much licorice flavor. But overall it was excellent. I don't give many 5 star reviews.

We had a lovely dinner last weekend. Really great service - super friendly and efficient. My husband had 3 of their oysters on the half shell, served with a traditional minnon sauce. They were outstanding! I had the Goat Cheese & Beet Salad. I might claim it as the best best salad I have ever had. The main dishes were good, but neither was as outstanding as the starters. Hubby has the Arctic Char - the fish was superbly cooked, but the dish was too dry for my taste. I had the lamb medallions. The lamb had way too much waste on it to be referred to as medallions. And, again, the dish was a little dry, though the green beans served with it were delish!

Perfectly cooked and well flavored Steak

8 family members had a dinner at the Arrowleaf while home for the holidays. We driven by it a bunch but never dined and well, it was awesome. Winthrop is not an easy place to give a gourmet dining experience too just based on the small local population and the influx of out of ownership that may or may not come from Seattle for the weekend so I tip my hat to the guys for bringing the noise. We ordered in a shared style and had the Red Wine & Herb Sous Vide New York Steak, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, the Pepper Jelly Baked Brie, Seared Scallops, the Tuscan Lamb Braise, the waffle fries, Lemongrass & Coconut Grilled Prawns, Mushroom Risotto of the house cocktails including the Limoncello Margarita and the mezcal, lemon lime & red wine float. Everyone enjoyed it all. The scallops were my favorite followed by the steak. The Tuscan Lamb was actually my last favorite. Just didn't hit my pallete this night but cooked fine. We were too full to order dessert and we had a nice long dinner together. We'll be back hopefully in the summer!

Local Pork Shoulder ($31). Pork was good, and the couscous was tasty.

The servers were incredibly kind and friendly, but the restaurant owner was a different story. We had a yummy basket of fries and a nice chat with our server. After receiving our pizza, both myself and my friend thought that the pizza tasted and smelled of cigarettes. The sauce was very acidic and chunky, and overall unpleasant to eat. We each tried one slice, I couldn't finish mine- before deciding that we really couldn't enjoy it. We let our server know as much and offered to pay for a half pizza/kids pizza (still paying as expected for the rest of our food/drinks), and he said that he would have to ask his supervisor about our request. When "JP" came out, it was clear he had been drinking. He became argumentative quickly- claiming that we just didn't understand how oven fired pizza was supposed to taste, that we were clearly trying to dine and dash, and eventually told us to just "see what happens" and to not pay and leave. He took a photo of us which we asked him to delete (he didn't- he posted us on the business Facebook page- see attached, I've removed my friend's face) and told us he could do "anything he wants" since he was the owner. In all of the breath he spent yelling at us, he could have offered a better solution, or just kindly told us there was nothing he could do. I asked the server if we could just pay and move on- he told us it was fine/on the house, and it seemed like dealing with a drunk for a boss wasn't out of the ordinary. I am sorry to see this kind of unprofessional behavior from someone who claims to have been in the restaurant industry over 30 years. Save your time and the headache and go to Meza or Three Fingered Jack's. We had an excellent experience and enjoyed the food immensely at both locations.
