They didn't have the first 2 drinks we ordered (which seems kind of silly, it's a bar after all), but all good- lots of other options. The club sandwich was very good! Probably like most, we followed the reviews, and we are glad we did. WARNING: this place rates high on heartburn, but the flavor is worth one night of agony. Philly Cheese. Hard stop. It's not even one of the items that they circle as their top sellers. This was so good. Thinly shaved beef on a really tasty bun and loaded with cheese. I'm not a fan of bell peppers, but these didn't overpower. Such good flavor! My wife had the burger, and it was outrageously good (I think it was the Bro). Get ready to back up your truck to the door when you finish b/c they load you up with so many fresh, hand-cut fries. Again, such good flavor, but this is where the heartburn really kicks in. They bring out a caddy of 6 different sauces to keep the Freedom fries company. The gal who served us wouldn't win any awards for hospitality, but she treated us well and we got out of there alive. This is a dive bar, so please know that. If you are not into dive bars, this ain't your place. The set up is quiet in your face and the seating and chairs are all over the place. Outside with karaoke was a bit more organized but this is a bar, so you should know what to expect. People watching was quite entertaining! Lots of locals, semi-locals and vacationers lead to some fun interactions! However, I'm not sure why but I could sense that there have been a fair share of fights that have happened here over time. The drinks were delicious and strong and they usually have premade Jell-O shots, if that's your thing. It the latest bar that is open in Manson and thus if you're bored and looking for something to do, this seems to be the place. I've heard food is delicious but we were here post dinner, I'd love to try sometime. read more

A local gem!!! This came highly recommended to us while visiting Chelan. We visited during Stay Home phase 1.5. The restaurant offered limited patio seating and takeout, no seating inside. Wait staff all wore masks. Shout out to Jason - he was awesome! The menu has lots of bar food options. We ordered a Freedom Dip and Paddy Melt (we are predictable). The Freedom Dip gives options to add onions & cheese - I did both! You can also choose between fries or salad with your sandwich (maybe other options..?? - I forget). The Freedom Dip came out steamy hot, full of onions and dripping with cheese. It was soo good. Mouth watering!! I couldn't eat it fast enough. Mine came with a side salad, with fresh romaine, olives, cheese, and green peppers. The salad was a large portion, for a side. Hubs got a Paddy Melt. It has toasted Texas Toast and came with a huge portion of fries. He's a Paddy Melt connoisseur and he loved it!! The patio has misters and umbrellas. OmG! The service was incredible we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. It was really busy but we found a table for us in front which was great people watching. We had a incredible server I think her name was Sophie? We ordered a lot of food and appetizers. I ordered the Paddy Melt and it was incredible as well as the fries and the seasoning. My friends ordered the steak salad and they really enjoyed them. We ordered condiments ( extra) and she brought a huge tray it was great. The tartar sauce was incredible.. Can't wait to go back we boated in left our boat at the deck and then went home .. What a great day awesome food and drinks ! read more

It's exactly what you expect. It's a dive bar that needs a fair amount of renovation but maybe you're into that. The menu is okay. The drinks are not fancy. The food is satisfying but won't be the most amazing you've ever had, or even close to it. They have a TouchTunes jukebox. One note though, they gendered the bacon burger as a boy and the veggie burger as a girl and the chicken burger as a communist and the french fries and French dip were freedom fries and freedom dip. Maybe that's a plus for you. For me and mine, not so much. read more

This is pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a dive type bar. It's dark, with pool table and a full bar. Myself and my friends had the philly and it was delicious. However, we were the first customers (we came in right after opening and all ordered the same dish) and the waiter brought out 2 phillys and 1 patty melt. When I told him that my order was incorrect he said they had run out of the peppers that usually go on the sandwich- even though the other 2 had just been served with them. People make mistakes but it was a bit aggravating. Overall I recommend trying the philly and if you like a dive bar, you'll probably enjoy this place. The server let us take home the mistake patty melt as well and it was good. read more

We called in an order and the staff member on the phone was unnecessarily rude, he seemed like he really didn't want us ordering. I work in food service and so do all of my friends, so we're well aware of how it is, but it was really disappointing and unnecessary. It seemed like a very "man" bar, so maybe they didn't like that a bunch of women were ordering, but it was still disappointing how rude he was. the food was pretty average dive-bar style food. wish the guy on the phone hadn't been so dismissive of us. read more

Legit and awesome "Dive Bar"! You have to be willing to appreciate a good dive bar to love this place. We sure do! The place sees a lot of their local regulars on a daily basis. And who wouldn't want to become a regular here??? The food is excellent (fries are the absolute best) and the beer on tap is cold. The burgers and steak salad are super good too. They make a mean Bloody Mary too (I think their bloody mary came in 2nd place in the 2019 yearly contest held during Winterfest). The floor might be a little uneven, the carpet and decor out dated but they have an updated Jukebox that you can order up songs from an app on your phone! How cool is that? And yes, it costs per song. I can't think of the app, but my friends use it all the time. They offer a trivia night, karaoke, live music and more depending on the season or day of the week. It's also one of the only bars open late (until I think 1am) in the Chelan area during the on and off season. Give them a call to verify. Don't quote me on any of this . You can find them on Instagram. They will post pictures of their soup and or other specials too. Outdoor seating is available. Tabletop shuffle board, pool table, and maybe darts (if my memory serves me right). No minors allowed. If you are looking for a family friendly bar hit up Sunset Bar and Grill across the street. They are really good too. If you're from out of town and looking for a good dive bar, give this place a try. I don't think you'll regret it. I know we never have. read more

Great vibe for a Friday night. They have a karaoke night each Friday that goes up till late. It's pretty much the only place alive in Manson. But food was very disappointing. Except for onion fries, didn't really enjoy anything. We ordered beyond burger and grilled cheese sandwich and they were just a waste of $. Had a strange experience. First time visiting my roommate that lives in chelan and i order takeout. i come in and talk to this caucasian gentleman with ginger hair who brought my order to me. He told me it was $14.50 and then I handed him a $20. He gives a 5 dollar bill back and .50 cents. I leave the .50 cents on the table and he says "oh thanks... .50 cents". I was a bit confused and then he proceeded to say "I'm gonna give you some advice, if you're ordering food pickup, tip more than .50 cents". I told him there's no service provided since i'm picking up my food. If it was being delivered and I gave .50 cents tip then I would understand the frustration. He proceeded to tell me that the tip would be for the people that made the food but I believe put the prices you believe are fair that you can make profit & pay your workers a livable wage. It's not up to me to pay your workers but the reason it's getting 3 stars is cause the food was good. Def would recommend the patty melt but that staff member definitely needs help with his communication skills. read more

If you are not a local or repeat customer they do not care about you. I was waiting for my drink with my buddy and the bartender did not acknowledge did not consider serving me until the locals were served first, even though they got there 10 minutes after me and then the bar tender Jason told us that the locals get special treatment and gave us our beer with a mad tone in his voice for complaining that locals cut us in line. Went here on two occasions. Big complain on wait staff not wearing face coverings. Two ladies working the bar and serving , one 100% wearing a good mask, second one decided it wasnt important and didnt bother half way through. On previous day in their outside serving area the younger bald waiter didnt even try masking up and was the best buddy at all the tables up close amd personal... How do they expect their customers should follow the rules if the staff don't. Btw you'll get a better tip if you respect your customers. The manager needs to have a talk with their staff. read more

Lived in Chelan for years, heard great things about buddy's food, but I always thought people were exaggerating, or that it was just good for tavern food. To my surprise their menu legit. 3 of us had the freedom dip aka french dip which was the best I have ever had, not joking. I think they cook the beef in the ajus and then sear it on the grill, the sauce is so flavorful, I chose to have the optional cheese and grilled onions.. it was amazing. The rest of our group that had the freedom dip were repeat customers who have been eating at buddy's for years. The other person in our party had the bj burger which had a thin slice of ham on it, the burger was juicy and tender and it was perfectly seasoned and their secret sauce was amazing. The fries were home made, delicious, and piled super high. Buddy's is a tavern atmosphere but a very welcoming restaurant setting as well. And there is a large outdoor area that is absolutely lovely. The menu has uniqueness that made us think this place should be on the tv show man vs food So far the general consensus of buddy's from everyone in our group was, best burger and french dip we've ever had. read more

Ehhh, ok. Bud Light was $3.25 which is an ok price (not for piss beer, but for piss beer in a bar!) I'm sure this place is poppin on a weekend because we went on a Tuesday night and there was a decent amount of people there. I liked the back patio. It's a good place to be on a Chelan summer night... Probably high 70 degrees! Perfect! The one and only bartender was good, quick with the service. I don't have a whole lot to say about Buddy's because I wasn't overly impressed. It was good, not great. I feel like a jerk giving a 3 but I just wasn't blown away so it is what it is. If you love bars and sports it's a good destination to hit. We have been to Buddy's at the start of the Summer and had very good service. Went again last night (a Tuesday) there was 1 bartender and 1 cook. You have to now stand in a line to place your drink and food order and the bartender makes drinks so everyone has to stand and wait. Then wait in line again to pay bill. The place was packed inside and out, way to busy for 2 people to handle. Bartender was running out of clean glasses and no one to bus tables. I know help is hard to find BUT! Definitely a dive. TVs everywhere, pool table, bar stocked with a broad variety of Vodka. Flies are welcome and present guests. Food was recommended to us by locals. It's always great to be welcomed by "freedom" fries on the menu. Do these people freedom kiss, too? To get to my green salad I had to dig through an 1/4" of shredded, plastic cheese. Always my favorite. The burger was fine but it took them 45 minutes to make it. Really!? I can have a locally raised, organic chicken baked with who knows what goodness in that time. This type of a wait also makes for a great conversation with a starving wife. :) Apparently they had a big to-go order to fill which they told us after the fact. Good little bar for the locals and travelers looking for a drink. When I went on a Friday afternoon the drinks were dirt cheep, which was nice. I would definitely come back to have a drink. It's the cheapest beer in the valley. They also have pool tables and shuffle board. I recommend this hole in the wall. read more

First time here from outta town(Lynnwood), felt right at home the minute me and my wife walked in. Quick service.....Bloody Mary was Perfect, very tasty with just enough veggies.....and the food....WOW! Had the "freedom dip" (French dip with melted cheese and grilled onions) and the BJ Burger. One tip, unless your "REALLY" hungry....SPLIT a order of fries...think they were hand cut homemade and over a pound! I tried to eat em all, but no joy...lol!
