Wow, what an amazing experience! I started my Birthday weekend solo. On Yelp suggestion, I decided to have dinner at Laguna Grill. I was immediately greeted by very helpful wait staff who offered a short wait for a table or immediate seating at the bar. I will always choose bar when dining solo. It's such a great way to interact!!! I got the house margarita and it was easily one of the best house mixes I've ever ordered! The chips and salsa were amazing as you could tell they were both made from scratch!! For dinner I had the Chipotle Shrimp Relleno...so good!!! 10 outta 10 bomb! Then I ordered a shot of "the good stuff" I offered the wait staff to join me but they very politely declined:( The experience was so fantastic that I returned two nights later with my spouse. That meal consisted of the Tamarind (real fruit) margarita, passion fruit vodka something or other, 2 shrimp tacos and a chicken (+ shrimp) burrito. We were both incredibly happy with our dinner. I don't think I was fully prepared for what was about to happen when I sat down at this Mexican restaurant, because what started as a normal meal quickly turned into something borderline spiritual. Everything was going great--the atmosphere, the service, all of it--but then the chips and salsa arrived. At first, it seemed standard: warm, crispy chips and a fresh-looking salsa. But the moment I took a bite, it genuinely felt like my entire sense of taste reset. The salsa had this perfect balance of heat, acidity, and freshness that was almost unreal. It wasn't just good--it was the kind of flavor that makes you stop mid-conversation and just process what just happened. And I'm not exaggerating when I say that after a few more bites, I fully transcended. Time stopped meaning anything. The noise of the restaurant faded out. It felt like I had a direct, life-changing encounter with something greater than myself... all through a bowl of salsa. I just sat there in silence, staring at the table, trying to comprehend how something so simple could taste that incredible. Apparently, I was gone for a while. Long enough that the staff started to get concerned. Next thing I know, I'm being gently brought back to reality by one of the servers asking if I was okay. I tried to explain what I had just experienced, but I don't think "I just met God through your salsa" is something they hear every day. At that point, I may have still been a little too overwhelmed to function like a normal person, because the staff actually ended up helping me out the door. Not in a bad way--they were super kind about it--but I think they could tell I was still processing whatever just happened. Even now, I'm not entirely sure how to explain it, but I do know one thing: that was not just a meal. That was an experience. I got the asada burrito and it was excellent, well balanced ratio of meat, refried beans, rice, and guacamole - I did need a whole cup of salsa to go with it though! Wish we could have tried the food. We showed up and were immediately sat at a table. No menus. The table was so broken it was wobbling all over whenever we touched it. We asked if they had another table and they did get us another one after 5 minutes or so. After being sat at the new table with menus, no one ever returned for 15-20 minutes. Laguna Grill by Marcela's is a fantastic addition to the lake dining scene. This is the family's second restaurant, following the long-standing local favorite, Marcela's in downtown Chelan. Their new location in downtown Manson brings something special to the table with elevated dishes and family recipes that go far beyond typical Americanized Mexican fare. We have always been very pleased with the service. Some of our favorites include the Camarones a la Margarita Shrimp, Camarones Chipotle y Carne, Tacos de Chorizo Fundido, and the Laguna Caesar. Every dish we've tried has been packed with flavor and beautifully presented. You really can't go wrong here. Pro tip: you can commute by boat and park at the Manson Bay public day dock. Wow. Just Wow. The scenery is just incredible and the staff are the most amazing people I have EVER met. You could just tell the Chips & Salsa were crafted with love and kindness; they were the most gourmet, flavorful appetizers that have ever made contact with my tongue. When the food was served, the chef personally came to our table and gave me a free salsa dancing lesson. I am now nationally ranked in salsa dancing and am going to Spain this weekend. When I first took a bite of my birria enchilada I got out of my seat and ran a marathon because of the absolutely captivating intense flavor. I ordered three more servings and gained 15 pounds that day. When we were leaving, all of the staff got together and sung a fair-well song and personally escorted us to our very own limo to go home. Came into check this place out for dinner last night. It has nice decor and we sat at the bar as it was busy. The green salsa served with the chips literally had no spice. I ordered the Tacos Eldorado with beef. My buddy who is from Mexico ordered the wings when they wouldn't let him order a fish taco and a shrimp taco combo. He even offered to pay additional since it wasn't offered as a combo. After 45 minutes our dinner was served. My tacos were bland in flavor and had soggy texture. My buddies wings were good but again lacked in spice. We ordered frozen strawberry Margaritas. They were not sweet and instead of a lime garnish had an orange on top. In my opinion Laguna grill was Boujee and lacked authentic Mexican flare. I'm assuming it's due to the clientele of the seasonal community. The staff was very nice. read more

Best Mexican food in Chelan! This place has very upscale Mexican food with options you don't often see at other places. I had their Angel's Special which was a decadent plate of rice topped with carne Asada, chicken, chopped chorizo links, onions, peppers, mushrooms, cheese and sauce. They have delicious house made salsas that are not your typical salsas. They have a full bar and NA options. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside with hip atmosphere and outside seating. Our server Dylan was very friendly, knowledgeable and checked on us often. This will definitely be a stop any time we are in Chelan. It's awesome! read more

We had a fantastic experience at Laguna Grill! We were a party of six, and they were incredibly kind and accommodating in fitting us in especially since we didn't have a reservation. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious -- truly authentic Mexican flavors. I had fajitas and my cousin had mushroom tacos, then my uncle had the best burrito I have ever tasted. Also all three of the kids had virgin margaritas. I see all the great reviews of this restaurant unfortunately that was not my experience. The staff were friendly and great but the food did not measure up. I ordered the pollo ala creama which tasted very strange. I don't know what they used for the cream (maybe condensed milk) but it was nothing like I had tasted before. I live in Yakima home of many great Mexican restaurants and ordered this dish many times before. This was just off. The salsa was raw tomatillos. Great in chili verde but not in salsa. The margaritas looked delicious. I hope this place makes it because it is a prime location. I would just go for the drinks. read more

My friends and I went to Laguna Grill tonight for dinner. We were promptly greeted and given our choice of tables. The inside is small but cozy, and tastefully decorated. Our waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The quesa-birria that I ordered was very good, as was my mango margarita. One friend's drink took quite awhile to come out; when they finally brought it out, they apologized profusely and said it was on the house. When we went to pay, they ended up comping us for all but one drink (and we had 5 altogether!) because they said they were short-staffed and appreciated our patience. We recently visited Laguna Grill and were very pleased with our food and the service there. My husband was particularly impressed with the meal he ordered, the Carne Asada dinner. Lots of well seasoned, tender meat that was delicious. The vegetables that accompanied the meal were a yummy compliment to it along with homemade blue corn tortillas beans and rice. I have a restriction to my diet and the staff was very considerate regarding that. Our server, Dillon, was attentive to our needs and provided excellent service! Got a tip from a coworker on this restaurant. Over the years I've been to somewhere between a third and half of the total Mexican restaurants and food trucks in Chelan and Manson. So when a new place shows up and is already getting good reviews, I needed to try it out. If I remember correctly, this location used to be a pizza place. It was happening for a Wednesday evening. The interior is a little tight, with tables in the front and limited bar seating, and some tables in the back. Service was good with a little bit of slowness getting our bill to us at the end. The food here is a level up for the generally Americanized Mexican food sit down restaurants in the area. Fresh with better ingredients and a step towards authenticity in their recipes. Sampled was a pina colada drink, fish tacos, and a carne asada burrito. All were really good! We had to wait outside in the heat for a half an hour in order to be seated. All in all, I give them a 4.6. This is a good quality restaurant in Manson, which is always appreciated. read more

This place is amazeballs! We were greeted immediately upon entry and showed to a table. The chips-n-salsa arrived momentarily and was delicious. I ordered the berry-tini and my husband ordered a pear (something I can't remember). Both were very natural flavor forward and awesome!
