Their mocktails were amazing -- creative, refreshing, and just as fun and flavorful as any craft cocktail. The food really stood out. Rustic, hearty, and packed with flavor across the board. The Roasted Root Vegetable appetizer was out of this world, and the pork chops were incredible -- perfectly cooked, tender, and full of rich, savory flavor. Wish I had nice things to say, but I'll just give a run down of how the experience was. We walked and were 'greeted' in a rude manner. Immediately told there was going to be a wait despite empty tables scattered across the establishment (no events were scheduled that night). This is our second time in. Love the theme/decor, right up my alley. Though chairs are VERY uncomfortable. Service is good and staff is friendly. Food is ok. We've been twice now- figured we'd give it another go after our first visit. But we seem to aways leave saying "it just wasn't anything spectacular" especially for the price! Chicken had good flavor but was dry. Would also prefer mashed potatoes to the veggie purée. The burger was just ok, seemed a bit dry, the bun was also kind of added to the dryness. I think a little more fat in the burger and toasting one side of the bun could have helped a lot. Also the blue cheese was very prominent, couldn't really taste much else. The specialty drinks are great! I really suggest the ms. Frizzle if you like carrot juice and ginger! It was fire. Called for a same day reservation for 12 people on a Friday and they were able to accommodate! It was in October, but still. Drinks and food were all good. The truffle parm popcorn was addictive. Just an FYI on the pork chop, our server did warn us it would take longer to come out which was fine with us. It came out after all but 2 others at our table were finished with our entree. Tasted really good though! Large space inside and vibe was cute. They have a stage with live music on certain days (not Fridays). Service was also very friendly and efficient. I came here recently and walked away impressed. The food was definitely one of the highlights of the night--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish I tried had that balance of seasoning and presentation that shows the kitchen takes pride in what they're serving. You could tell they weren't just thrown together--each cocktail had balance, effort, and a clean finish that showed it was quality over quantity. Instead of cheap, watered-down pours, you're getting something crafted. That alone made the bar experience worth it. As for the comedy show, Jake stole the night. Rugged, raw, and unapologetic--exactly the kind of comedy I love. He had the crowd locked in from start to finish, and his material felt genuine and sharp. The main headliner, Bo Jackson, was solid but leaned too PG for my taste. It wasn't bad, but after Jake's performance, the energy dipped. This is where I think the venue has untapped potential. The setting is perfect--intimate, comfortable, and built for laughter. But if they want to elevate the experience, booking stronger, better-known comedians as headliners would take it to the next level. Jake showed the kind of energy this place can handle, and I think with the right talent, it could become a go-to spot for comedy fans. All in all, I'd definitely come back--for the food, the drinks, and the vibe. With just a little more focus on headliner booking, this could easily be one of the best comedy venues around. I've been a few times now, and while the first couple of times service was a touch slow and received one dish that was a bit off but was comped without issue. Drinks have always been on point and love that they have n/a options. My most recent visit was excellent in all ways!! The menu is loaded with unique food options along with safe and delicious comfort food. My kids shared a burger which was to die for, and the handcut fries are the best in town. I have never had a better salmon dish in a restaurant. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. The space itself is a perfect vibe for date night or an elevated family dinner. Our experience was ok but it's obvious there are still some things to be worked out between kitchen and front of house. The good-had the wild prawns and the flavors were nicely balanced-a little sweet, a little spicy. We also shared the rib-eye and the flavor of that was also good, with an amazing "tavern sauce" served alongside. The carrots also had good flavor and arrived hot....which leads into the not so good. We started with drinks which took about 20 minutes to get. There was only 1 person working the bar and he was on top of it, but maybe another bartender is needed? We had the old fashioned which needed a little more balance-maybe more maple and a touch of cherry to round it out? The Manhattan was good. We ordered a small salad, steak and prawns. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Our server came over and didn't offer any timeline, just asked if we wanted another cocktail. We ordered another, cause why not. We asked if our salad was on the way and she had to check her order pad. Ten minutes later she brought over the steak. No salad. The steak and potatoes were barely lukewarm-not even warm enough to melt the herb butter on top. But the side carrots were hot-obviously plating is still being worked out. Five minutes later the prawns came out. We were sharing everything but it was still a little weird not to get our plates at the same time. We asked about the salad since that still had not come out. We finished the steak and the prawns and most of the 2nd cocktails and still sat waiting for the salad. Finally she brought it over and sat it in front of us. No offer to comp it even though it should have been out first (we'd asked for it first). It was a bit disappointing-the toasted breadcrumbs on top made it taste like we were eating salad with grit. Not pleasant. I will probably try this again, but maybe wait until some of the kinks are worked out. You are headed in the right direction, but need a bit of balance. read more

We really wanted to love this place but sadly it fell severely short. The service was very good and the space is cute but loud. It was the food that was so disappointing. The burger bun didn't hold up to its contents and the fries were horribly overcooked tasting burnt. When we asked the server to share our feedback with the chef, she came back and said Chef thought they were good. Picture is attached, you can judge for yourself. First, the positives. Really cool atmosphere and the staff is great. The negatives can be summed up in one word, "under". The food while good, is under seasoned and under sauced. The servers while great, are understaffed for a busy night. Wait times are long and although the staff is super kind and thankful for patrons patience, another helping hand or two would make a huge difference in the dining experience. They could also really use a host station, we saw a lot of confused customers trying to figure out who they should talk to about getting seated. A host would make for a much nicer first impression. Made it to the new opening of Lakeside Tavern yesterday! In the Lakeside schoolhouse building with new owners, great menu, had the deviled eggs with a Caesar salad and steelhead. Food was delicious and the new decor and feel is great, feels like a cozy bar in a lodge. We sat at the bar where Austin provided friendly smooth service. The cocktail selections looked great with plenty of beer varieties and Sigillio wines. We will definitely go back! Highly recommend checking them out I believe the dinning room was booked so probably good to check for reservations if you a group. This place is GREAT. We have driven by a few times while passing through and wondered about it. (As an entire side note, It's definitely deceiving when you pass by a beautiful, new white building that boldly says LAKESIDE and you try to google it and literally nothing comes up. So you don't stop and assume perhaps it's just not open yet.... Then a year later you drive by again and wonder again. But you google and nothing comes up... turns out that it's a building with two businesses in it. The marketing/branding is way off imo) Anywho! Food was delish!! I had the Thai wings and hubby had the schoolhouse burger. We kind of wished they had better beer choices but we're used to more variety of breweries. No complaints tho. Definitely the online branding of the tavern doesn't match the exterior at all, nor the vibe of the tavern once you're inside. Chef Austin and Chef Justin never cease to amaze! We have been obsessed with Austin's cooking for years, getting to enjoy it at a few catered dinners, but we are beyond excited that he and Justin opened a restaurant that we can now enjoy all the time! The Lakeside Tavern just opened two days ago and they didn't miss on a single thing. Elevated, gourmet food and cocktails, fun and modern but still eclectic decor, and the best part... Austin's at the bar serving up the most delicious and beautiful cocktails, so we get to see his face! We had the deviled eggs, cucumber salad, and brunch burger, and every single thing was delicious! The burgers are 2 to 1 beef chuck and bacon and man... unreal flavor and the perfect unexpected lil crunch! We tried a few of the cocktails: "Yes, Tuscan Drink Before Noon," the "Another Brick in the Wall" (take on a sour), "The Breakfast Club" (take on an Old Fashioned). All so dang good! I'm not even a Gin lover and the first one is a gin drink with FRUIT LOOP syrup. So good!!! Cannot recommend enough! Just go. Open Wednesday to Sunday (lunch and dinner Wednesday-Friday and brunch 10-2 Sundays). Can't wait to come back and try more! read more

Was really hoping to like this place but service was so bad. Food was good but expensive, for some reason everything on happy hour menu was the same price as regular menu? Food came out before our drinks were even made. We sat at our table for 15 min before we had a server come over. Had to stop a food runner to ask for our drinks because we only saw our server one more time which was when we got our check. Plus when we asked for a table the host said they had a big party coming in a hour so we had to leave before that but they took forever to take care of us? didn't really make sense. The best fries and burgers in Chelan! The fries are addicting and I can see why they just have a plate of them on the menu. The burger has a patty that has a blend of bacon in it and the flavor is just impeccable in addition to the black pepper aioli. The service is amazing and quick, all of the staff ensures that you have the best experience. The live music is an added bonus if you catch dinner on a live music night.
