Amazing food, Amazing customer service!! Great atmosphere. Not very big but the chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. The drink didn't taste like it had much alcohol but it is was large. This was our first time here and we all enjoyed our food. Large portions as well. **** if you are celebrating a birthday come here! The birthday dessert looked delicious and you get to put on a cute hat when they sing to you!

What a great place! The food is fresh and good. Chips and salsa, home made and on the house! Service is very good. Mexican decor and music. The enchiladas were full and delicious. Love the horchata. I would go back again.

Fixings that came with the steak fajita. Yum!

This is our favorite restaurant in Chelan! Friendly staff. They do their best to accommodate our requests and always deliver! The food is amazing, with fresh ingredients and delicious recipes. The ambiance is great too! Definitely highly recommended! Can't wait to visit next.

Let's get to the good aspects of Fonda - great service (fast, friendly, attentive), and massive portions (2 people would be stuffed on just one entree). Where it went wrong for me is the sign outside that advertises "authentic Southern Mexico cuisine." Nope. This place is gringo Mexican food through and through. Light fluffy "Mexican" rice chock full of peas and carrots, large side of refried beans (at least sprinkled with Mexican cheese), and otherwise uninspiring main course. Shredded chicken with verde sauce that clearly came out of a gallon sized can. Don't get me wrong - there's a place for this type of food, and nearly every town has at least one Mexican restaurant with names like - Ixtapa, Aculpoco,Azteca - that effectively serve gringo diner Mexican food. This is that place. If you want a more authentic meal, with tastier and more interesting spices and slow cooked meats and perhaps a hand rolled tortilla and fresh salsa, start with the taco truck on Main. If instead you want large plates full of gringo Mexican food, and maybe a goblet of margaritas with a pre-mixed lime concentrate and a heaping bowl of chips, you've found your place here. Just please don't call it authentic.

We visited Chelan and stopped by downtown, and was craving Mexican food for lunch. We saw the Yelp reviews and dined here. The place is very nice with colorful Mexican decor. We were seated right away. Chips with salsa and refried beans was served with waters. We ordered a chicken taco salad and the Monday lunch special, chicken Taquitos Dorados with rice and substituted refried beans for black beans. We didn't wait too long for our entrees, and the food was delicious! The taquito was served hot and the taquito shell was crispy. The food was flavorful and not overly salty. Other than the very loud group behind us eating, we enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. The staff was very attentive and kind. Restrooms are very clean. Definitely recommend this establishment for Mexican food!

Food was absolutely amazing! The beans best I've ever had! Carne asada was delicious!

What a delicious restaurant in Chelan! So glad we found this spot! We really brought the chaos and the staff couldn't have been kinder. An excellent place to bring kids, as they didn't seem at all phased by a bit of a mess and accidental water spill. They were so sweet and kind through it all and kept their high energy and smiles coming. Food was excellent-the chips, salsa and bean dip were the perfect starter with our margaritas (best salsa I've had in a long time) and the entrees were huge and left us wishing we lived in Chelan and could be regulars here! Vibrant colors and decorations added charm. Absolutely recommend a visit if you're in the area! We will be back!

We came in early May when the small lake town of Chelan is not hopping yet. Plus it was a Tuesday. Got seated immediately and the hostess and server were welcoming and proficient. We ordered the enchilada verde and chile relleno, Tuesday's lunch special. They were both very good and what I felt authentic Mexican. The chips were fresh and salsa was a smoky (maybe a Salsa molcajete) with a medium level of spiciness. Food came out promptly. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and cheery. Prices felt a little high (& $16/$18 ish, but with inflation, it's itself the going rate.

We were looking for a cozy little lunch spot and this really delivered! It's a super cute space, and the food was awesome. I got enchiladas verdes (one with cream) and my husband got the super burrito. So tasty! The servers were friendly and efficient. Overall great experience!

Every dish we ordered was delicious. Chicken Verde enchiladas were delicious. Spinach Enchiladas are also great. Their salsa has a unique flavor and the right amount of spice. Staff were delightful and the food came out quickly. Would recommend trying this restaurant.

I have tried many molcajetes but this one is by far the Best molcajete I ever had food is great service is excellent

Amazing! I was a loner person by myself and staff was amazing. They were busy and didn't rush me. I obviously ordered way too much but was so worth it. Thank you for the experience!

The mocktails were not only delicious but beautifully presented, which made them feel a little extra special. For appetizers we had the house bread & butter and the French onion soup. The bread was fresh and paired with a high-quality, creamy butter that tasted amazing. The French onion soup arrived in the cutest little pot with a lid and had a rich, savory flavor with perfectly melted cheese on top. Unfortunately, there were whole peppercorns in the soup (I fished out four), which was surprising and almost ruined an otherwise great dish. Entrées were a mix of hits and misses. The grilled salmon with dinner potatoes was the star of the night--perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor. Absolutely spot on. The crab cakes were a good size with lots of crab and a nicely crisp exterior, but I did find pieces of crab shell in mine. The side salad that came with it was the biggest disappointment--no option to swap it out and the lettuce was visibly brown. We also ordered the mushroom pasta. I didn't personally try it, but it looked great; however, I was told the flavor was a bit lacking. Dessert totally redeemed any small issues--the chocolate mousse cake was incredibly decadent and rich. Definitely a must-try. I even took a slice home for my husband. Service was friendly and attentive, drinks were great, and most of the food was very good. Our total was close to $200 for three people, which felt fair for the quality and the occasion. Would come back again--especially for that salmon and the chocolate mousse cake--just hoping for a little more consistency next time

Fantastic Experience at The Cove - Don't Miss Trivia Night!…read more We originally came to The Cove for a wine tasting with 2205--which was a fantastic experience on its own. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the space felt comfortable and relaxed, perfect for sitting back and catching up with friends. That's how we learned about their Trivia Night, and we're so glad we came back for it! We visited The Cove for Trivia Night and had an amazing time! I came with my husband and my dad--it was my dad's first trivia experience, and my husband and I have done a few before. This one was by far our favorite. There were five rounds, including a music and movie section that was our groups favorite. Everyone got to contribute, which made it even more enjoyable. The host was engaging and kept things running smoothly and upbeat. The service was wonderful and personable--you can really tell they care about what they've created. The space is beautiful inside and out, with great vibes and plenty of seating. We ordered the wine cocktail--so good!!!! It's located close to downtown Chelan, and while there is parking, it's also easily walkable from most spots in the area. I'd recommend making a reservation, especially for trivia night. We're not local, but we'll absolutely be back--this place is a gem!

I can't say enough how kind the staff - both at the tasting room and restaurant - were to my family. The restaurant itself had a magical ambience, most especially because it was just right after Christmas. The perfect lighting makes or breaks it and they got it right. Driving below looking at Tsillan Cellars, I imagined the restaurant to be more spacious than what I thought it to be, rather, it was a bit more intimate which was quite nice. As it was dark, we could not see the view but I would imagine that it would have been outright stunning in the day. As for the food, we ordered the shrimp risotto, steak, and canelloni for the adults. This establishment also offers a kid's menu and although I usually have my kids eat from whatever I order, we decided they cam order a plate of their own, which was spaghetti and chicken tenders with rosemary fries. All of the dishes were of quality and of course, delicious. I wish I could get another plate of the risotto. If we ever get the chance to come back, I would certainly come back and reserve a time when there is daylight to enjoy the view of the area and water.

Service: my boyfriend called to schedule a reservation. Number one I have a food allergy (onions,…read moreshallots, green onion and chive). He spoke at length to them about the allergy and if substitutions were made. We had the online menu and several of the dishes we were promised were onion free, including ciopinno. Now I make this at home. I am aware there are standard white onions in the broth. He doesn't know that, he just knows I love it. He clarified twice with whoever answered the phone. When he brought me, he had assured me they said it was onion free. *In a Morgan Freeman voice* it was in fact not onion free, nor were most of the dishes on the menu. I know better than to get too invested into any menu items prior for asking if it is safe. Second, we asked for a table with a view, preferably outside. This is primarily because of the onion allergy and he wanted a view. They put us in the middle of the dining hall. We asked about the view, the seating hostess "well this is the best view." There were three tables out on the patio. We had a view of a bridal party and bros who were spilling their drinks. I after a lengthy back and forth about food items, I was instructed to order protein and sides that were safe. What I ordered: scallops cooked in a butter, lemon and white wine sauce order a pasta of the chef's choosing. What she kept ordering were plain scallops, buttered noodles and a side of vegetables. I kept correcting her that I did not want buttered noodles. I stead of listening to me, she kept asking me what type of noodles I wanted. She didn't allow the chef to choose, she wrote linguini. I tried one more time correcting her, Steph wouldn't fix it. The lack of communication is sad. The food: I wish I could talk about the food. I got tasteless butter garlic noodles, three very small tasteless scallops, a side of shaved parmesan and a side of vegetables. I paid $45 dollars to be fed a meal worthy of a picky 2 year old and not what I ordered. I cannot fault the chef. I have no doubt he hated making that dish given what was on that menu. After heavily salting, I gave up after three bites. My boyfriend was very clear with Steph. I was very clear with Steph. She would not listen. Ambiance: is beautiful. Worthy of all the IG pictures. Because they accommodated the food allergy, I chose to not give one star. But honestly they deserve a one star review. Recommendations: Teach your staff how to listen. I had one amazing restaurant that will highlight with a highlighter what I can eat and underline anything that be accommodated. That was probably the best restaurant I have ever experienced.

They had literally nothing from the photos and even pics added from the business owner. I thought maybe the menu changed seasonally or something but the waitress we had didn't even recognize the stuff and said it was probably from one of their other restaurants... I wish this stuff was accurate because the menu we were presented with was a let down after seeing the amazing things online. I will say, however, that everything we got was good. The steak bites were yummy (that sauce!) and my friends that shared the fried chicken sandwich were pleased and that thing was massive. Our cesar salad was also enjoyable. She must have been new, so I asked her if she could check and she seemed kind of taken aback. Turns out they do not, so I just got a glass. My friend and I came back the next day and sat at our table for 30 minutes before we had a waiter approach us. After that, we ordered salad and dessert. It all came within 20 minutes, which was decent for the food order but LONG to wait for wine. From the time our plates were clean and glasses empty to the time we got a check was over an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. We tried to just pay at the counter and the woman behind the counter said she was just pouring tastings but not taking payment (so they do have tastings!). Wasn't too crowded on either visit, so I'm guessing maybe they were training a whole batch of new summer staff or something when we went. I would potentially try them again another time of year. Don't go here if you have a tight reservation after.
