I went with friends to watch the Super Bowl this past Sunday. To my surprise at half time they had the Bad Bunny halftime with no sound on one smaller TV screen and TPUSA's Kid Rock with loud volume on the largest TV. When I complained we were basically told it is what people wanted. After telling them it isn't what everyone wanted and that we were leaving the male owner basically invited us to leave. I was really hoping for a drama free, politics free game. I guess we're not red enough for them and won't go back. Food was very average. Patrons should have at least been warned. This is a great family pub serving up a great selection of brews and local wines for every palette. The atmosphere is rustic yet warm and inviting. Service is top notch. Ken and Kami treat their patrons as extended family with their own family often present welcoming new guests with open arms. The live music nights are top notch! Pizza and Beer always go together! So there are two businesses here and it was a little confusing because the counters were under the same roof right next to each other. One business had the food and the other the beer. We ordered pizza to go and then a beer for the wait. There did not appear to be indoor seating except a small bar area where the beer is (There was more than beer BTW) so we opted to sit outside. They have a large grassy area with tables and a Cornhole game. The area was pleasant and inviting. The staff at both businesses were friendly and the pizza was really good. If I'm not mistaken the Roadhouse serves the beer and beverages and Even Keel serves the pizza. Regardless, give this place a try. We loved it and look forward to going back. read more

Wanted to give this place a try when we were in town meeting up with family. The staff on both sides are super nice. (One side serves the drinks, the other serves the food so expect two separate checks) We had some beers and played games while we waited. The pizza was decent and the side salad we got was good and fresh. For a few rounds of beers and the food it was about $100 so not any more than any other place. We'll come back next time we're in town and try another special rather than pizza. read more

Well friends, if you haven't considered salad bars the past two years you will be delighted to know Even Keel had a plentiful one! You know what else is plentiful? Excellent customer service. And the pizza and drinks were delish too! Had no room left to try the wings but holy moly, they read tasty on the special board. This would be a five star review if it were summer because the place has roll up garage doors, lake views and live music to boot. But, we were here in February, so the indoor dining area was really chilly to spite the small heaters. So, bring a parka and blanket this time of year, and enjoy the simple pleasures of really good food, excellent service, and a damn fine salad bar. read more

Even Keel is a diamond in the rough find. Hubby and I have been seeing their social media posts and go to Chelan quite often as we have a trailer we keep there. We have been waiting all winter to be able to try them out so on our first trip of the season we hit them up. Everything is made from scratch from their dressings to sauces that they use. They were pretty busy when we went, not a lot of room inside IMO for sitting and don't know if they offer outdoor seating once weather gets nicer. Also parking lot is not big either. But the food is amaze balls! You order food on one part then because it's actually 2 separate businesses you order drinks from the other business. We don't drink and there were not a lot of options for people who don't drink beer and I didn't really pay attention to the beer selection as I don't drink that often and I don't care for beer if I do partake in an alcoholic beverage. It seems like the food came out fairly fast considering how busy they were. The crust on our pizza was crispy and IMO was better than the other pizza places located in Chelan. I'd definitely go here again for that! The shrimp po boy that my son got was good. He liked the big shrimp that was not over cooked but he said (he's from Louisiana) po boys don't have lettuce or tomato on them! Lol. I did notice they had a nice looking salad bar with home made dressings. All in all we would return during our visits to Chelan. read more

As we were leaving the lady working asked us to pay for two sodas. I assumed my wife or mother in law grabbed them thinking we were going to stay so I paid for them. When I rejoined my wife and MIL I was quick to discover that they had not taken 2 sodas. When I went back to complain about my $3.50 per soda purchase since they had not grabbed any the lady told me I could grab some. Really nice to enjoy a home made pizza and Stromboli in a setting that was unique. The food was outstanding, little pricey, but anymore what isn't? The local beverage selection was great! Used to really like this place but it has lost its appeal. Food now seems over priced and selections are much more limited. As an example, if you want chicken on your pizza, you can only order a 7 inch. While it is a separate business, the drink selections are also very limited if you don't drink beer or cheap wine. Since living in Chelan for 7 years I have missed a great pizza house. I longed for Northlake Pizza and the Italian Spaghetti House in Seattle. Well, wait no longer. Even Keel pizza is top notch. The crust is perfection, not too thin, not too thick, the toppings are fresh and plentiful, and the sauce is perfectly spiced, like a true Italian pizza. The staff are friendly and would love to help you make the right choice for your taste buds should you need some direction. The owners are wonderful people and their son is by their side working the business. They are a very nice family and have created a fantastic eatery. Great pizza is found in Chelan! The bartender Ryan is fabulous. Ryan offers tastings so you can find the perfect beer, wine, etc. He is a great conversationist. Everything from beer to fishing, the guy is super fun to talk to and accomodating all the while. We waited for our take out pizza by talking to Ryan and having a glass of wine. We enjoyed our time with him so much we ate our pizza at the bar and shared stories, etc. What a fun person. You really must check this place out, especially if you've missed a great pizza house.
