Cute little place right on the Main Street of Chelan. Since we were there off season there were not a lot of place open. Very large and varied menu, take heed if you are a vegetarian, not a lot of choices. We stood and waited to be seated for about 5 minutes even though there were two servers and only a couple of customers eating. The two of them were far more interested in chatting than anything else. Once we were seated, we got beverages right away and our order taken quickly and the food came out super fast. My husband had the blueberry pancake breakfast, three huge pancakes with blueberry compote and whipped cream as well as bacon and an egg. He said pancakes were good and so big he could only eat half. I had a two egg breakfast that came with pancakes or hash browns, choice of bacon or sausage and toast. I opted for hash browns which were really good; that said, the toast was hardly even brown and it was supposed to be sourdough but if it was, pretty sad excuse for it. The bacon, four slices, was not cooked thoroughly and while it should have been crisp it was pretty limp. All in all the breakfast was ok and the restaurant was clean but I've had better food and its hard to ruin breakfast read more

Honestly pretty terrible. The food was just North of barely edible, much of it being undercooked or hardly warm enough to enjoy, the flavor did not make up for the temperature, and the service was a mixed bag where the efforts of the host were overshadowed by the overbearing rudeness of the wait staff. The one item this restaurant excelled at was making us feel like we were not welcome and that hurry up and eat and leave. They were great at giving that impression. read more

This place is a damn good breakfast spot! My wife, daughter and I stopped by here this morning after a wonderful four day Labor Day vacation at Campbells. This is our third time eating breakfast here. My daughter had biscuits and gravy and my wife and I split the apple cup scramble. Big portions! Our scramble was perfect. Lots of meat and cheese. Hot. Fresh. Fast. Probably closer to a five star in terms of getting an awesome breakfast but our waiter and waitress were kind of cold. Like they didn't want to be working. I was on an out of town trip with my partner and while driving through Leavenworth, we decided to stop in Apple Cup Cafe for breakfast. Unfortunately both the experience and food were very disappointing. The waitress (who was different than the one who has greeted and sat us) was short with us when we ordered. My partner asked about a pancake substitute, and she sighed exasperatedly before explaining it wasn't an option, (which is fine, but don't be mad at us for asking the question) I asked for coffee and the snap back was "there's cream on the table" and so I found an almost empty, (and room temperature) container of cream, and wasn't offered any additionally, despite having two cups of coffee. Our food arrived and most of my order was cold. The sausage links were raw in the middle, the (unseasoned) gravy was congealed on my biscuits, and my eggs weren't cooked as ordered. My partner's food was warm enough, but lacked flavor, and the sauce on top of his was also congealed. Around ten minutes into our meal, the same waitress slammed our (unasked for) check face down on our table without a word. We felt very rushed and unwelcomed. Between the angry service and lackluster food, I can't say if ever go back. I'm rarely this disappointed. read more

Haven't been to this place in YEARS and went back out of nostalgia. It was okay, but didn't blow my mind like I had remembered from the past. My hubs did the chicken fried steak and it was completely unsalted. He added salt and it was okay. I did the 1/2 Bob which was still a huge portion and the biscuit was really fluffy. My hashbrowns were pretty flaccid and not browned at all which I didn't love, but it was also an okay dish. One other person in our party ordered the blueberry pancakes which were nice and fluffy - portion size on those was insane!!! There usually is a wait here on weekends especially in summer, but I noticed they opened a new bar area that was open in the morning - if your party is 21+ you can totally grab breakfast in there to skip the main dining room line. In general, there aren't many breakfast spots especially open year-round in this area. It's not a bad choice, but blueberry hills is my current favorite. read more

We were excited to try the Apple Cup at its new location. We arrived about 8:30am and were the only ones in line. We were ignored for a good 5 minutes before a server acknowledged we were there and seated us. The space is clean, which we appreciate given the age of the old building. While the new space is nice, it is very noisy. The food was bland and basic. Cookie cutter like they had everything ready and threw it together to save time. Again, another Chelan restaurant that we wanted to love but fell very short of being good. There are better choices in the area. read more

Both times my family and I have been was great. I love that they open early. The second time, we waited about 15 minutes because there were several families before us. I feel like they ran the place seamlessly and even with the busy crowd, they were attentive. Our food came fairly quickly. This isn't the best breakfast I've ever had but I appreciate that their food isn't greasy at all. Will be back for sure if we're ever back in Lake Chelan to vacation. read more

Honestly not the best breakfast we've had. Felt like they just rush people in and out as quickly as they can. Our eggs we not cooked all the way and I ordered swedish pancakes. Which is something I make at home all the time and was disappointed when they weren't anything like them. They seemed like a normal pancakes rolled up and wasnt even cooked all the way. There is a bar area as well that I did not enter, but that might be a great option if having to wait for a table. Have been here several times and it's great diner style food. Every time we come into town someone in the family stops by, usually for breakfast but sometimes for lunch and drinks. All of the staff seems nice and the food usually comes out quickly. This time around I got the eggs Benny with sausage and one order to go. Great little diner just when you are driving into Chelan. Hopping place! You will find lots of locals here and repeat customers! Ordered the Big Daddy Omelette. Packed with lots of meat and cheese. Your choice of pancakes or hash browns and toast! Lots of food! The omelette was good and filling but the onions and green peppers not sautéed and were crunchy. Other thing they could have done better serving our food. 3 of us got our food right away and our 4th person had to wait over 5 more minutes. I hate this because we won't touch our food until everyone in our party is served. At least bring them something! It's just not the correct way to serve a small group. When you think of the best breakfast you have ever had anywhere, this will be in the top 5. A locally owned spot that does everything right. On our most recent trip, we had fantastic burgers there with fries so fresh you had to be careful eating them so you did not burn your mouth. On our last day, a few days later, we stopped in for breakfast before heading home. We should have split the breakfast burrito because each half was a full breakfast. Favorites include the clubhouse sandwich (add Swiss cheese), their amazing homemade potato salad (baby reds make it the best!), Bloody Mary's (+$1.50 for a double), burgers, chicken fried steak, etc. The staff are all hard working and hustle to take your order and get your food out.
