We've been coming to the Lakeview for twenty years and have always enjoyed our visits. The setting and outdoor seating is excellent and the food has always been tops for classic drive-in fare. I love the basic burger, the fries are crisp and non-greasy, the shakes scrumptious. And the service--always the sweetest! Only two quibbles: last week, we were dismayed to see that the fish sandwich was no longer offered--and theirs was perfect. So I had the basic instead, and it and the fries were soooo SALTY! After a full day of hiking in 105+ degree weather, we needed something fatty and greasy to end our day. Lakeview Drive In seemed like a great spot for our needs. Ordering is simple - go the front to order at the windows, then walk around the back to pick your food up. There was no line for ordering at approx 6PM on a weekday and it only took about 10 minutes before the order was ready. Bacon Burger Basket ($11.95) - Two beef patties with melted American cheese, a stack of crisp bacon on top, what else could you want? On the bottom of the meat was a bed of chopped lettuce and onion, with relish and a mustard/mayo sauce rounding out the burger. The bun is a standard food service bun that holds up well. This basket comes with fries - the fries are thinner crinkle cut. I usually don't like this cut because a lot of the time it turns out soggy. The fries here are fried perfectly and stay crisp while still maintaining a bit of fluffy exterior. If there was one complaint I could give it's that they season the fries with seasoning salt a little too liberally. Once you're at the bottom of the tray, you're basically picking the fries out of piles of salt. Double Mack Burger ($7.65) - No complaints with this, nice beef patty flavor with the same fixings as the bacon burger (sans the bacon and cheese of course) As a bonus, they have fans that spray mist out that help cool you off in the heat. They also have cups and a water dispenser right next to the pickup window (no ice). I recommend Lakeview Drive In for a solid burger. read more

We were there a couple of days ago. It is a perfect little drive in for a quick lunch. The burgers are not too big, assembled with care and very tasty. The fries were excellent, and the shakes were delicious. The staff stands out to me. Too often, stores are manned by teenagers who do not care about your dining experience. This is not the case here. The staff is friendly, helpful and very fast. And the prices are incredibly reasonable. A perfect lunch! read more

I try to cut em a little slack, it's a starting job for the young folk around here and it gets pretty packed (especially this summer) because of the location and, well, the view lol. I visit the drive in often when we are in Chelan, this last time was one of the worst experiences I have had. The ladies who were working the window were very rude and disrespectful. Their food is not wonderful anymore either. They used to be "the best" burger place in town, however, I think you could go get a better burger (real meat) at red apple market for cheaper. read more

Had a wonderful experience at Lakeview Drive-in. The young lady that took our order was so helpful and so kind and inviting! We waited maybe 5-10minutes for our large order and everything was extremely hot and fresh! The fries and seasoning was just perfect and their fry sauce is to die for! The prices were reasonable and the outdoor seating was spacious with wonderful views! It is a great family place if you are looking for a quick but hot meal! Long time local burger joint, openly seasonally during the warmer months, continues to be a go to for locals and visitors. Made to order, so your meal is hit and fresh every time, which means a little bit if a wait, but worth it. Parking can be tight, please don't park across the street in the IGA lot. Great place to grab a burger when arriving to Lake Chelan or going to the Park. It has an amazing view to yhe Lake with all these different colours. So beautiful!! Hamburgers are really good. Simple choice. You don't have to go through an extensive menu as in other places. They were so tasty that we got a second one hehe. You pay on one side and then wait on the garden side. I grew up right next door to this place and have eaten there every single year since the 1970s. It's always been a nostalgic place for me, and sort of guilty pleasure. Over the past few years, the quality of the food quality has completely disappeared to the point where this year, the order I just picked up was literally inedible. It was average for a while, then mediocre, then meh, now you should just save your money and not go. (TIP: right across the street you get grassfed beef burgers, twice the size for less.) We ordered double bacon burger basket for the hubby, and I had a BLT. How hard can that be? BLT was advertised as toasted with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and bacon. NONE of this happened. The 3.5" diameter white bread slices were not toasted and tasted like stale communion wafers. No mayo. The iceberg lettuce shreds were disgusting and wilted. The one-half slice of tomato on each half looked like a single slice of a Roma, barely enough for one bite. And the bacon consisted of a pile of burned bacon crumbs. BURNED. I seriously thought this must be some kind of a joke, it was THAT BAD. I didn't even bother to give it to the crows. $8.45 plus tax, tip, and online order fee. Husband was hungry and ate his bacon burger basket. He reported the same thing about the bacon and reported that the meat was a no-flavor hockey puck. The pre-cooked kind off of the SYSCO truck. That famous seasoning for the fries we've all come to know and love and expect was non-existent. Basically, reheated crinkle fries from a frozen Walmart bag. SUCH POOR QUALITY. $12.45 plus tax, tip, service fee. The worst thing was the milkshake. I think it was a 10 or 12 oz, but for $6.45, go to the store, get a pint of Tillamook vanilla, some Hershey's syrup, and milk and make your own in a blender. It had barely enough chocolate to call it that. Whoever owns this place needs to find a new supplier, go over their COGS, and train the staff how to cook. Such a major disappointment for this landmark in our community. I'm never going there again. I keep hoping it will improve, but it only gets worse. read more

It took a few visits to Don Morse Memorial Park before we tried Lakeview Drive In. You can now do an online order and they'll delver it to the concession stand/building in the park (same location as the restrooms), but Lakeview Drive In is so close that I decided to go there on-foot. There are different windows for placing orders, drive thru (online orders) and pick-up. All seating is outdoors (picnic tables, sun umbrellas, benches, etc.), with a great view overlooking the Don Morse Memorial Park Marina and Lake Chelan. For four burgers, two orders of fries, two sides of fry sauce, and a drink, the total came to around $42. The second side of fry sauce was not necessary since its portion is bigger than expected (one is good enough to cover two orders of fries). All of the burgers had decent proportions, toppings and flavor. The fries (crinkle cut) were also good. Later on the same day, I returned to get ice cream and one shake. For about $20, we got 3 cups of soft serve ice cream and a shake. The ice cream at Lakeview Drive In is only soft serve (the menu leads you to conclude that there are actually multiple flavors), but the reality is they have candy or mixture ingredients to make additional ice cream and/or shake flavors by combining it with the soft serve. Also, I was expecting a more traditional shake, but what I got was something similar to a Dairy Queen Blizzard. The ice cream wasn't bad, but it was a bit too expensive to simply be soft serve. To conclude, we enjoyed our burgers and fries more than we expected; however, we were just a little let down by the ice cream. read more

My family has been vacationing at Lake Chelan off and on for years so this year after the COVID lock down we and my in laws wanted to get together for our first vacation in a year and during that trip we decided to take a night off cooking dinner and get take out. To begin with we arrived at the peek of the dinner rush so I was expecting a long wait time this kinda was compounded be the fact that they offer online ordering which adds to the walk up wait time so much for technology huh? Anyway the food is good quality but be prepared to wait as the restaurant gets overwhelmed, convenience and good food and and a over abundance of demand it's a good / bad problem for the restaurant to have . The restaurant has a great location and ample outdoor dining but really fills up fast all I can say is plan ahead and be patient the food is good quality classic burger stand. read more

We used to love grabbing burgers on the lake here. But now they've taken to walking your food to an "out post" outside of the restaurant and keeping it there if you don't pick it up instantly. Its hard to see how this is living up to food prep standards, particularly since they will do this before your scheduled pick up time, leaving you no way to predict where your food will be. Gonna leave this one star until they stop this absurd and sorta gross practice. read more

Solid old school burger joint. I suggest you order in advance, line at the door can take a while. They have a large water spray fan to cool you and a nice view while you wait. Could be much worse. As for the food, the fries were better than average. House fry and tartar dips were .45 a pop but excellent additions. Burger was solid representative of this kind of drive in burger joint. The foot long hotdog was a nice throwback as well. If you like dogs, I recommend. Can't speak to the onion rings as unfortunately they were not placed in my bag despite purchase. After placing an online mobile order for almost $70 and going to pick it up; sat there for an hour waiting for it, and went to the window multiple times. They said they would call my name when it was ready and then in the end it'd been sitting there for an hour! They said we should've checked out the window earlier, which exactly was what we did! Watched whole families come and go. I bet the burgers would've been great had they not been cold; and I bet french fries would've been awesome if they hadn't been sitting there an hour. I bet even the milkshakes would've been good had they not been melting in this hot heat for an hour before we got them. All their customers seem to have a number, but not the online order that we placed. I don't know what the problem is at this place, maybe they don't have online ordering figured out? This was beyond acceptable... I waited in a line in my car (wasting so much gas)... and I was staying 2 minutes a way, staying at Campbell's... for them to tell me after waiting again 20 minutes in the car, that they actually take call-in orders OVER orders in person, so my order, even though I was live and in person and had MONEY to spend, they were telling me that my order would be 35-40 min wait!!!! Then, I told them I would gladly wait in the drive up space for my order and they told me they would call the cops!! I will NEVER eat for there again... my kids are screaming for food, I did nothing wrong but wait for my order in the space, only for them to call the freaking COPS!!!
