It is sad to see a business owner use the term Army in the name of his moving company. He represents nothing of the organization I was a part of. The Army core values have Honor, Integrity, Selfless Service to name a few. The owner sent two gentlemen to my home to help move a few things out due to some renovations. First, I got a call from the owner telling me the quote I received and that I would be getting two movers coming over to help me for two hours. He asked if I may need another mover in case there are any oddly shaped things that I may need to be moved. I told him I needed a buffet and a dining table moved and didn't think I would need more than two people to help. This is relevant because he would later claim a different conversation happened except luckily for me I record ALL of my phone calls and I'll make a YouTube video so you can hear how the owner talks to people that do business with him and his poor employees which in my opinion he exploits. After our phone call which he had said his two workers were 30 minutes out, they did not show up. I waited an hour and by this time yes, I was frustrated. I told him to find out and call me back because I was borderline going to cancel the move and hire someone else. He called back and said they would be there in 15 to 20 minutes and asked if I was going to cancel after all because the two guys had two more moves after mine. I told him I would not cancel but they would have 20 minutes to show. They showed up 20 minutes later and everything went smooth for about 30 minutes until they broke a marble top that went on top of the buffet. As they were placing it on the truck it slipped out of one of the employee's hands and it broke into 3 pieces. They called the owner and I texted the owner an image of the damage. As I heard them converse I started hearing the lies and the excuses they would make to scapegoat the responsibility. First, it was my fault because he said that I didn't put a blanket on it, then the issue was because it was going to be placed on the bottom of the truck. None of which are relevant because the break happened when his two workers dropped the furniture. I recorded the call, he made every excuse in the book and even refused to give me his company name; he threw his employees under the bus telling me I should not pay them and should arrange a replacement with them. Ultimately the call ended with the owner telling me I didn't have a contract and basically I was out of luck, on my own. If you happen to hire this man or anyone that works for him be aware that he will tell you that he just contracts people out, he probably does not have insurance to cover any damages any of his guys may do. He will throw his workers under the bus claiming they are just contractors. This man abuses his people and when in a tough situation he drops them and drives a bus over them as if they didn't even exist. I put him on speaker and recorded all the calls and I will be posting a link on here to the video so you can hear his complete disregard for his workers and the customers he acquires. He exploits people that work for him and reaps all the rewards but none of the risks involved with working with other people's property. He will use every excuse he can possibly make to not be responsible, he missed his calling, he should have been in insurance. Instead, he employs the name of one of our military institutions in an attempt to represent something he is not; he should be ashamed of himself! To the owner reply which is full of LIES Lie number one that he informed me that his regular movers were busy. I have the phone call recorded where he just called to confirm my quote and he was going to text me the number of his guys that were going to help me with the move. Saving money?! I was paying almost 200 dollars for two hours of help, how is that saving money?? Lie number two, I didn't want to wrap anything, I had many things wrapped and I had only taken off the buffet top to make it easier because his guys said they were gassed and they couldn't lift it. I didn't lie about not having heavy stuff, I told him that's why I needed two guys and how can he claim they are not his employees if sent them, and he himself said he had two other moves lined up for them. How can they not be his employees if he's ordering them to go to different places to move things?! Lie number three, allowing a customer to help, I was not helping; if anything I was directing because the two guys he sent over didn't have a clue. Lie number four, they are not his employees, then why did you send them?! Why was it you asking me if I still needed them if not you had two more moves lined up?? If they are not your workers those are very strange statements to make, again I have you sir on the recording saying this stuff... All lies, I did serve and live up to the core values to this day, unlike the owner of this business.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've hired the Army Guys to help me out. They helped me move into our apartment, found someone to install a light fixture, helped us move a bed, and now organized our garage. They are fast, efficient, careful, good communicators and thoughtful. What more could you want?

A job that was quoted 3 hrs took over 6 and here's why: 3 guys and 1 dolly to move a fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment one at a time.

WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! I don't ever write a review becuase a lot of time it's the employee that give you the experience ( employees were nice) but this is directly from the dealing with the owner. BEWARE!! I'd give a NEGATIVE rating if I could. By far one of the worst and most unprofessional owner I've ever dealt with. I would never use "Army Guy Moving" service again nor would I recommend it. Here's why: Wednesday 04/26 I saw his ad on CL and called him to make arrangements to move my fully furnished two bedroom apartment to another two bedroom apartment that was on the third floor in the same complex. We agreed on a price and how it would be handled which I quote, "Includes, transportation of furniture to other residence with in complex, dollys and wrapping. 3rd floor to 3rd floor...Thanks, Jon." $95/hr for 3guys. Via text. Move in date was set for 5/1/17 but we changed it to 04/30/17. No issues there except Army guy sent three guys with ONE dolly, a few pads and in regular PICKUP TRUCK who showed up 30 min late. THIS WAS A HUGE RED FLAG! As they showed up late, no paper work ( Most likely not license and insured), no big MOVING truck and nothing to protect or secure my belongings. So I called the owner to see what is going on. There is NO POSSIBLE WAY they can fit any piece of furniture on that pickup truck. His excuse was there were "some confusion" and he thought a pickup truck would be enough to "shuttle" my 2 bedroom apartment in the complex. There's no confusion here on my end as everything was clearly communicated when we talked since he suggested 3 guys so we can get things done "faster". At this point I've already packed all my belonging and have no choice but to reschedule with Jon for Monday. Now he wants us to pay $50 extra for the Uhual which he's going to rent to move our belonging when it's something he supposedly had in the pictures as "Professional Movers". So I agreed to it as I don't have any other choice for Movers since I have to vacate by Monday-05/01. To make things up for the "confusion" and delay, Jon says he'll deduct wrapping time from the move time once complete which is roughly an hr. I agreed to it. I showed the mover around my apartment and asked him about how long it would take. He says 3 hours to get the job done. This is after him(Freddy) having a 30 minute conversation with Jon, the owner. Alright, so we proceed to arrange it for Monday morning at 9:30am. Monday: 9:30am and no one showed up. I contact Jon and Freddy, they haven't gotten the truck yet. It wasn't until 1030am that they showed up. At this point I had to leave for work. My girlfriend stayed back to watch over the moving process. 4.5-5 hours later these guys are still moving my belonging from the first apartment down to the truck. I get a call from Jon about it and we had a conversion where he ends up contacting my gf and talked to her. 30 minutes later I get a call from my girlfriend saying that he's demanding $620 from her or else they were going to put our belonging in storage. I called Jon and instead of trying to make things right, he's talking on the top of his lung on a three way saying that it's not their fault and we need to pay them up front for the work before they finish because it doesn't seem that we have the money since my girlfriend told him we budgeted the move based on what they (him and his employee) quoted us. Per Jon, the $620 is what his now "estimated" time to finish. Insisting that he gave us a discount by removing the cost of the wrapping material when it was clearly in the agreement that wrapping is in the cost and refuse to take off the hour or so that it took to wrap our belongings. Saying, "I'm already throwing in the cost of the wrap for you! That costs money!" (When wrapping was part of the agreement.) Then proceed to demands that his employee take the money while he's on the phone with me or take our belongings. Demands that his employee get the money from my girlfriend while he's on the phone with me or take our belongings. At this point we have no other option and our belonging has to be moved. And with no other choice we forked up $620! Got home and asked my girlfriend about how things were done; it took two guys to carry my 20-30 lbs night stand "to be extra careful". And three guys to bring up a box on a dolly. Picture attached. They used 1 dolly for the entire move!! As Jon said, "if you want some thug to come, pack your stuff and move it without caring about your belonging you can find them on Craigslist, but that's not us!" Ironically, I found Jon's listing on Craigslist. BEWARE and expect them to be LATE, hidden EXTRA CHARGES and FEES not-disclosed, and NON-professional movers(ex: third guy was just one of the mover's neighbor that was helping out)!

Ha! What a joke. Using "Army Guys" in their name to pull customers. I thought the army had morals like DEPENDABILITY and INTEGRITY. NOPE. I contacted them to move a dresser. They said, sure in a few hours. A few hours would have been at 2:30. So I text and say, "Can you meet me at 3?" He responds back with a time of now 4. I then respond and say I'd have to move my schedule around and I'd text him back. Right when I'm texting back to say that's fine and I CANCELLED my night, got someone to cover me at work, and got my kid picked up, he texts and says he "has to pass" and he booked another move. Are you kidding me?? Probably a bigger move than mine I'm sure. Just because you get a bigger job doesn't mean it's ok to fuck over someone you already told you'd help. Then won't respond back at all. AFTER I CANCELLED MY NIGHT to meet these asshats. Shame on you. Who knows if they are even "army guys." read more

Choose wisely; choose this company. Jon and Jesse went above and beyond the call of duty. They are knowledgable, courteous, professional, and careful; treating my belongings as if their own. Exhausted from a long weekend of moving, I certainly appreciated them getting the last few of my bins on their truck without charging me. read more

Jon is a true professional that understands the value of handing everything in a calm and organized manner. He is not going to show up and just start throwing boxes in the truck. He's methodical in his approach, excellent communicator and provided the highest level of customer service. Solid team. Highly recommend him for simple item moves or full blown home relocation. read more

Please do not hire this owner. I would give 0 (zero) stars if it was available. He had a couple workers who did fine but took direction from Jon. He was slow and spent most of my valuable time on the phone. Jon said he would go room by room which he didn't. My furniture was loaded improperly and we had several items were scratched and one destroyed. When I asked him politely to refund some of my payment he went in to a rant; a lost cause. One bright spot, he offered one of the young men who helped him as a driver for one of my trucks. That worked well and I would recommend D.J. Please do not hire this owner. read more

I used these guys Saturday June 3rd, 2017 and they were great. I called them the day before I needed their help. They showed up on time, Moved everything with care, and did exactly what I was asking them to do. We had a 27' truck that was poorly packed (Cause I loaded it) and they unloaded it with speed and with my wife and I standing there humming and hawing on where to put things. I would use them again in a heartbeat! read more

Army Guys Moving is awesome! I had a small move and was shopping around for the best price. They quickly responded to my request on their website and we confirmed. However, I accidentally didn't provide my exact address or phone number without realizing it. The day of the move I reached out to them and they still fit me in and provided wonderful service. I'd use them again for any move in Austin. Jon and his team worked quickly, had a reasonable price, and could not have been nicer. read more

I meant to write this review months ago but with my move and trying to get settled it didn't happen but I wanted to be sure and write this so others do not use this guy. He is TERRIBLE! I had two PODS delivered to my home. He decided that one POD would be used for all the boxes and the other would be used for my furniture. I was doubting that was the best way to pack them but he reassured me he was a "PROFESSIONAL PACKER". Needless to say all my stuff didn't fit and he stated it was my fault for not ordering enough PODS. I had 2 16' PODS from I-800-Pack-Rat and 1 is supposed to be enough for a 2 - 3 bedroom house. When he realized all my furniture wasn't going to fit he demanded his money. I refused to pay until the job was complete which meant unpacking the half pack POD and reconfiguring the way everything was put in. Unfortunately, the other POD had already been picked up so we couldn't try to get anything else in that one. He refused to unpack and wanted his money. When I refused to pay until the job was completed he called the police. He also took my 65" $1,800 TV and put it in the back of his truck and said it was collateral for his payment. When the cops arrived they told him he was lucky he didn't pull away with the TV because he could have gone to jail for stealing. He argued with the cop and told the cop he was wrong...... The cops became the mediators and he told the cops he would complete the job if I would pay him now. The cops suggested we write a contract that if I pay him the $450 he was supposed to receive for packing the 2 PODS that he would unpack and repack so all my furniture would fit. LONG STORY SHORT....no sooner the cops left so did he and his helper. He never finished the job and took all the money. They cost me a lot of money and time and I would tell you to STAY AWAY from using this guy. He's nothing but trouble....really nice on the phone but totally different in person. read more

Based on our estimate we were expecting it to take at least 6 hours, and cost is largely based on how much time it takes, so they saved us hundreds of dollars by being so quick. They unloaded everything at my new apartment and then continued on to unload my daughter's belongings at her new place. Thankfully, both of the new buildings had elevators, it was a big job. They managed to fit the contents of both apartments into a 24-foot trailer, and even my queen-size bed frame fit perfectly into the back of his truck. I was truly impressed. These guys were quick, strong, happy, and professional--true gentlemen with a confident, can-do attitude. I was combining households with another family member so we were working with having to fit my furniture into her existing home and they were able to make it work which I thought was going to be impossible! We also had some items that needed to be hauled away and when I asked if they had a referral for me, Jonathan (the owner) offered to give us a quote on those items so we could have them removed that day as well. I also received a texted, itemized invoice on my phone from the corporate office, to review, a few minutes before making final payment arrangements with Daniel and Devonte. Management was very friendly and communicative, by phone and text, before and during the move, checking in with me, and ensuring I had their direct contact information, at all times. It seemed everyone I spoke with, texted with, and met with were experienced service and moving professionals, who take pride in their work, and their customers' experience. I received estimates from many companies, having had difficulty reaching my usual movers, and seeing that their pricing was no longer competitive. All My Sons was by far the best value, the most transparent, efficient, experienced, equipped, organized and most communicative... both prior to and during the move. I usually don't leave reviews, as many satisfied customers in many service industries fail to do, but I wanted to ensure that they all receive the acknowledgement and accolades they deserve for going above and beyond. I would specifically recommend you inquire regarding Daniel & Devonte's availability for a future move. They're an excellent team, and said they've worked together for some time. It shows!

I politely explained that I would need the move to be at least in the morning and asked if that was possible. Instead of helping or clarifying, the representative responded rudely and repeated that they "don't have a time." I calmly said that if it couldn't be early in the morning, then no worries. At that point, she abruptly hung up on me. Hanging up on a potential customer who is being polite is extremely unprofessional. Based on this interaction alone, I would not recommend this company.

Placed a quote request on Yelp and was bombarded with responses. A lot of the companies requested more information; some didn't respond. Spoke to one guy who said he would send a quote and never did. Richard Bailey gets 10 stars for price, communication; recognizing the sense of urgency and the crew he hired to complete my move. He actually texted me right away; then we spoke briefly. Based on the conversation he gave me a verbal quote and booked my move for the next afternoon. His crew showed up on time. We're very professional; had great personalities and got me moved in two and a half hours. Nothing was broken either. Assembled my washer and dryer too. One of the crew members even gave me decorative advice as I moved from a 2300 sq. ft. house to a 1300 sq. ft. apartment and my couch didn't initially look right where I thought it should be! Fabulous company. Absolutely recommend them.

Gotta give these guys a 5 out of 5! No way I can give any less but if I had an option of more, I would. I am not even a YELPER but after using these guys, I asked them how can I get ya'lls name out, Ray, an Army Guys Mover, mentioned YELP. My family and I arrived in Austin with our 26 foot Penske Truck. We had a moving company already in place. When we arrived, they were a no show and wouldn't even answer our calls. MY WIFE WAS SO PISSED OFF AT ME! After talking to a couple of moving companies, I scrolled across YELP and GOOGLE and was very fortunate to find Jon, with Army Guys Moving. He was impressive, from the jump! He mentioned that unfortunately, it happens in the moving business, moving companies not showing up but that he was there to save the day and has done that for many other families as well. Jon matched priced the cost and assured me that he personally would show up with his men, even though he was on another move. When we arrived, Jon and 2 of his guys were waiting for us. After meeting with Jon and a few war stories of both of us being in IRAQ, he left 2 of the best hardest working guys i've ever seen in the moving business. These guys were fast, precise and our 2nd story house in Lakeway was nothing to them. Two hours later, Jon came back and assisted the men. Jon was very direct as they were all moving our heavy furniture and glass objects. I could definately see the Army in this guy! Jon and his helper, were super smooth, moving my safe and refrigerator. He made sure the move went with out any mistakes just like he said they would. After 6 hours, all was done. We have one more smaller truck coming in and trust, we are calling those guys. During small talk, one helper was a Marine Reservist and the other came from a local moving company, excellent work performance men! After the hand shakes, Jon said, "A happy wife is a happy life". We were searching on Thumbtack and Craigslist for movers. OMG!%$& how we were getting outrageous ridiculous prices. We came across Army Guys Moving from a flyer conveniently found at our apartment complex mail area. My girlfriend and I decided to check out this company and located the website, Craigslist ads and they're Yelp reviews. We were impressed and after speaking with Jon, we felt very relaxed and the price was in our range. My dad is ex Air Force and he also looked up the company and said to go with them. I'm so glad we did. Those guys were awesome, funny and very professional. We live in a high rise, in down town Austin and Jon was right on time with the length of time it would take compared to the others telling us, it may take 3-6 hours, and unsure about cost. I recommend Army Guys Moving and I will say, very impressed and no dings or damage. Our last movers we hired were very expensive and yes a couple of scratches and again, these guys were flawless. As active duty personnel, my husband and I got ourselves into a situation and Jon and his team really came through for us. I called a dozen moving companies who couldn't help my husband move a partial household goods shipment. My husband learned a little late that his older truck wouldn't be able to sustain this heavy of a load. I knew I needed a military person who would "get" the situation we were in and not take advantage of it. I found Army Guys Moving on Craigslist. When I told Jon the situation he replied the way I would of expected a high speed NCO (Non-Commissioner Officer) to respond, with a Can Do attitude. I have spent 20years in the Army and people like Jon and his team are what makes it all worth it. I saw some negative reviews when I was doing my search but I can tell you first hand you should not have any reservations and hire these guys! The driver's name escapes me now but he was wonderful. Jon, Paul, and all their guys were great. Our house sold much quicker than we expected, so our moving schedule (and destination) changed a few times. We ended up packing everything we owned and moving it ourselves into a large shop at our old house. Jon had given me a quote for a single move, but sent two guys out to help us move the heavy stuff into the shop and included it in his original price. Once we settled on a house and a moving date, 2 huge trucks and 4 guys showed up on time and worked like a precision machine loading those trucks. I was amazed at how much they got into one truck without a trace of damage. They all were very protective of our belongings. This company is amazing. I must say Jon and his team of movers are incredible, professional, courteous, and hard working. After having some negative experiences with other moving companies, I did not think it was possible to find same day movers and ones who weren't going to over charge me. I was ready to give up the notion of having movers that could meet my expectations, until I found this company. They were the answer to my prayers, in more ways than one. Not only was I was able to have a same day move but I had it for a reasonable price. The movers, Jr and Malcolm were a joy and a pleasure to have, they asked questions when needed, moved my furniture without messing it up, worked very fast, very professional, helpful, worked the entire time, etc.. I am kind of the person who usually not write any reviews but the experience that I had was terrible and made me write this. I will never recommend anyone this guy in future. This guy is extremely unprofessional. He actually started asking for more money once the luggage was loaded in his trailer. After almost 30 minutes of bargaining I had to pay more money. Not only this, he never touched or move even a single box or item, all he did was ordering and taunting to his coworkers whom he was treating them as slaves. I am kindly asking to people who is reading this review that 'please do not go with this guy' there might be many movers out there who is like him but not this guy for sure. read more

I heard all the negative things that movers do but you guys, Army Guys Moving, were perfect! These guys are awesome!! I spoke to Jon on the phone and he was very courteous and confirmed everything in advance. I kept a text dialogue with him to ensure I would have muscle to unload my moving truck (coming from IL) upon arrival and they did not disappoint! David called me first thing on moving day to confirm the time, they showed up on time, worked very hard and efficiently - we had Tank and David. They even helped set up my horse pen fencing in the pasture (that they unloaded from the truck)! I would use these guys again and I highly recommend them! read more

I called Army Guys Moving after another company canceled last minute and I had a large safe that I needed moved and it couldn't wait. John was amazing at getting in touch and setting up a last minute move. JR and James showed up to help move the safe which was 600lbs. In about 20 minutes they got the safe the 100 yard distance from the front gate where it was dropped at delivery all the way into the house. I called Army Guys for an emergency "gotta do it now" type move of bulky, very heavy and expensive machinery from the XPO freight terminal near Expo Center to my home in NW Austin yesterday. I am in the real estate business, and I work with a lot of movers. Take it from me, these guys will not stop until you are happy. They take excellent care of your belongings, and treat them better than you probably would. They never took short-cuts by stacking or putting items in the truck incorrectly. If I could give them a 6 I would. They were so awesome they were flexible on timing since we had to move after work and they worked until late hours. They went above and beyond in every way and never complained only laughed when I asked for something else even crazier. These guys were great! Called in the morning and they moved 2 large and heavy cabinets for me that evening. They completely wrapped them in packing blankets and clear plastic to poritect the glass.
